Great atmosphere and exceptional service. BIG gluten free menu and *real* vegetarian menu options. Impressive beer selection and cocktails arent bad either. If youre a serious foodie, or you know and love tex-mex and spicy food, you might want to continue your search. The fact that my partner and I can have a drink here and safely eat chips and salsa and hot wings AND not worry about his wheat allergy means well surely be back. The only real issue--and the reason for the three star review--is the seasoning. Youll find chiles ALL over the walls of this place, but youll find none of them in your food. We were both offered the "spicy" option by our server and happily obliged, but we couldnt even detect black pepper in the seasoning, let alone chiles--or salt, for that matter. The food was really, really bland. If you have your own favorite hot sauce, you might want to bring it along, and also be prepared to liberally use the salt on the table as we did. Im no tex-mex aficionado, but I do know seasoning--and our food had about as much as youd expect form a holiday inn breakfast buffet. After drowning my plate in a mix of the chefs "diablo" sauce (which tasted like an unseasoned blend of water and guajillo peppers) and Texas Pete, it tasted just a *little* more like the middle-of-the-road tex mex I had been jonesing for. All that said, were looking forward to giving this place another shot. There really arent any other restaurants on SI that provide this kind of atmosphere AND a decent selection of food thats safe for people with a gluten allergy. Well probably just stick to drinks and bar food, though!

Im sorry but I came here because I read on the reviews that this place was great. Unfortunately that was not the case. The server was great very attentive and all but the food was disgusting, it didnt taste good or look good. Ive been to many Mexican restaurants and this is not Mexican food in any shape or form and flavor. I order an enchilada and first of all the presentation its not how an enchilada its suppose to be presented, there was no sauce just ground beef with cheese everywhere there was no flavor and the beans were plain. Honestly, do not waste your time here.

The food is delicious. They do have hundreds of beers with ratings no less and alcohol content. They even had my favorite peche lambic - the only beer I like! Food was reasonable and delicious, drinks were strong, but they didnt have many flavors of frozen margaritas like some places. The location is bit odd - it appears to be in a run down commercial area next to the ghetto, but surprisingly there were no black people inside. I think it was a renovated house. Service was friendly. I would go back.

Come for the food, stay for the beer list. Adobe Blues beer list was completely unexpected; way WAY beyond what you normally find in a restaurant. Im not a beer connoisseur by any means but the large selection of beers meant that I was able to find a very nice porter to go with our excellent food. Our server was a delight, attentive without being intrusive, and very knowledgeable. Looking forward to going back. Check it out!

The food at Adobe Blues is always reliable. I usually get a chicken enchillada and enjoy it every time. They have an amazing beer selection at the bar. Sometimes there is live music, which makes it a little hard to talk at the dinner table. The weekends are busy and Ive always encountered a wait on a Friday or Saturday night. The staff is friendly and have always accommodated any special requests I may have had.

it was after hours in there was no longer selling alcohol but I asked the bartender can I just have some water and he told me NO. it was clearly that I was an African American male and thats why he didnt serve me or maybe thought I was just a broke bum. this is not good and I live right here on the same block. I dont care what color you are I just want America to know that prejudice still exist

By far my favorite Tex-Mex restaurant in New York. Adobe is a beer drinkers paradise with 180+ beers and they regularly change the offerings. The live music is generally great and not overbearing. My wife is in love with their Cream of Chicken and Green Chile soup. This is one of the few places Ive gone to where I can confidently say I have never had a bad meal.

A true gem on Staten Island. The menu though not stocked with dozens of choices, delivers consistently. Try the Pecos Chicken if you have a hearty appetite. The fajitas are delivered to your table still sizzling. The beer menu has over a hundred choices. Reservations are not taken but just show up and belly up to the bar, you will love it !

Ive gone a few times and tried a new dish every time. They do not disappoint. The food is delicious, good quality, and seasoned just right. I have to add that their beer selection is quite impressive. They have beers from all around the world, two full pages with two columns containing beer; maybe a hundred different types or more.

My new favorite Mexican restaurant. We have been living on Staten Island since 1994 and I wish we had found this place sooner. My wife found it on the internet and we just went out for a regular dinner. We love Mexican food and usually go out to New Jersey, but now that we found this place we will be staying on Staten Island.

Great ambiance. Exotic food,& music atmosphere to wanna jamm with the band, a lot of nobodies playin there own thing and showin the world how it is done! Man a musicians haven of exeplory degrees . I play guitar 51 years and I think its a fun night out even to just hang and get " vibes",and get a mud hut kinda feelin!

Server was great. Very friendly, easy-going, and helpful with what was good to order. I absolutely loved the green chile chicken soup. The chips and salsa were delicious. And finally, the blue corn tortillas...they werent bad, but not as flavorful as they achieved with the other food. Mmmm...that soup though...

Food is OKAY. The flavors could be way more tastier. Blue corn enchilada especially had almost no flavor. The carne adovado burrito also had close to no flavor. Service has no complaints, however. Prices should be lower for the lack of flavor. You can find many better texmex/Mexican cuisine on Staten Island.

Best beer bar on the island and great tex mex food (their chips and salsa are the best ever...way better than jose tejas). Great bartenders, live music on the weekends and an overall nice relaxed atmosphere not generally found elsewhere on the island.(no steroided out first pumpers starting fights)

Tasty Southwest food, they have a huge selection of beer and many nights during the week they have live jazz music!!! This is a great find for Staten Island. UNCLE GERRYS TIP: Spend time walking around Snug Harbor which is located less than a mile away.

This place is a gem. Sample some really awesome beers from the extensive list while enjoying the quirky southwestern decor. To make your choices easier, the menu has beer advocate ratings and helpful explanations about the various styles.

A south-western saloon type atmosphere with artifacts from the wild west era features live jazz/blues music, a wonderful beer selection and great Tex Mex food. The staff is friendly and Jack is a great Maitred. A truly warm experience.
