Yesterday was my third year of renting a boat from South Dock Marina. I reserved the boat almost one month before the rental date. There was no working radio, no ladder to get back into the boat (which now my cousins swim trunks are ruined due to rubbing up against the engine to get back up onto the boat). The seats were ripped and FILTHY, as well as the carpet. The boat itself was pretty fast, which is great but it didnt really give a great atmosphere considering nobody even wanted to touch anything because everything had visible dirt on it. When we talked with the people working, I got an attitude from the young girl who was working at the front desk who rolled her eyes because I guess we were annoying her by requesting something else. They had no other boats because they were all taken, and the answer I got as to why we were given this dirty boat was because I made the reservation online. So had I called in, I would have gotten better treatment is what I learned. This was extremely bad customer service and is unacceptable. This experience forced me to leave this review, and I will never rent from them again. Attached are some photos of the boat they gave us.

We use south dock for our seasonal boat slip for our boat and I can honestly say the staff at south dock is amazing! They go above and beyond, the main dock hand Fra is an all around great guy and is always willing to lend a hand for what ever we need, they take your boat out and dry dock it if a big storm is ahead, and at the end of the season they will winterize the boat and have people available to detail and clean the boat, the new owner Bill has been doing amazing things with the place, even their resturant is 5 star, awesome food and awesome service! The guys at south dock have become friends through their exceptional service, ya cant help yourself from looking at the crew as pals!

Rented a pontoon boat and went crabbing. The boat was clean and well-maintained and with the advice of the staff there, we ended up with more crabs than we could eat. The staff were kind, informative, accomodating and treated us like family. There were some issues with mother nature and the staff went FAR BEYOND normal expectations to ensure our safety and comfort. Having been sooooo impressed with their extraordinary customer service, I asked about the cafe. I understand the food to be "phenomenal" (it was packed for dinner). Cant wait to try it. :-)

Note this review is more for the Surfing Pig restaurant part of this location. No reservations are accepted, and there is usually a very long wait. BUT they told us 30 mins, and it was only 5. Seems thet are still feeling their way around running a restaurabt, at least in the front. Food was good, I had an excellent blackened grouper, husband had a "good" prime rib, kids meals were ok. NOTE kids ribs are TWO RIBS in the meal. There are 3 chicken fingers to that meal. The Mai Tai was less than phenomenal, I expected better. Service was great though.

5 of us for breakfast and everyone was satisfied. The food is Delish and the portions are huge. The bacon was the best I ever had. The service is terrific and very pleasant. And the views are phenomenal. Highly recommend and will come back for dinner to get the bbq and its a byob at night which is fantastic.

Had a great time. Brought 9 people (guys, gals, adults, and kids). We dealt with a very friendly, and knowledgeable staff. We went out for crabs, and were pointed in the right direction -- not disappointed. plenty of room on the 21 boat for 9 if well organized. We will return.

Drinks are AMAZING!!! Breakfast, lunch or dinner is available and the food is excellent! Beautiful bayside view that makes you feel like your eating right on the water. Overall an amazing place that I recommend to all of my customers and friends!

Super atmosphere, beautiful views, need more tables and bar chairs at high top tables. Stop serving dinner at 8 on Saturday night.... drinks only kind of place, but really nice servers. Hostess, first one you meet, kind of grumpy.

We came to rent a 24ft pontoon. It was amazing!! The dock guys were great... come and do this!! The mistake we made was eating at the restaurant. The food took FOREVER! So be warned! Bring food or find another place to eat!

Breakfast was amazing. We sat on the deck outside and the view was amazing and the prices are reasonable. The only downside was it was pretty windy so our food got cold pretty fast and things would slide across the table.
