After deciding between many options, we were hopeful for a relaxing meal.. The waitress had a very strange persona.. She also would not let us get our drinks without ordering first which we were then rushed to decide what to eat due to being so thirsty from being on the beach all day. We then had to wait UNTIL we got our food to get our drinks which was obnoxious, "due to manager request" as the waitress told us. My spouse and I both got chicken parm with spaghetti and a side salad. The salad was extremely small, there was barely any pasta on the plate and the chicken was very chewy. The meal was less than pleasant. It wasnt awful but certainly not worth $25 for one meal. We will definitely not be returning here if we ever adventure to OC again.

Im not going to make this terribly elaborate or long Ill just list the key details. 1) our waiter was pretty good, he seemed like a nice enough guy, if a little bit shy. This review does not reflect our service. 2) the food we were served was cold. 3) they required tips in cash not card. I was told part of the reason for this is that they have no manager present in the evening. What kind of place doesnt have a manager to close down the restaurant? That screams of negligent management. 4) there was no music, why? 5) the bread was definitely stale 6) overall this place was punching way over its weight in decor, what looks like a nice little Italian bistro is more like a greasy spoon in an amusement park, screaming kids included

I unfortunately cannot give the Ocean Cafe more then one star. The food was good, but there were non stop flies in the restaurant. These flies were all over my food. Other tables complained and the owner was called, but did nothing. The owner over the phone said that they cant close the doors or the store will look closed! Ridiculous! The owner was "tied up" and did not make an appearance. The only thing offered was free dessert, which we declined. I didnt want any more flies in my food. We werent planning on going here for dinner, but walked by and thought we would give it a try. The menu that was posted outside looked pretty good. It was the only place that we are in Ocean City that we didnt check out the reviews first. The food was ok, but overpriced. I was really annoyed that the kids meal came with a soda and not milk so we got charged for two milks. Our apps and dinner came out at the same time so that was super annoying. Finally you cant tip with a credit card. Wont go back here.

Didnt like that they forced me to buy bottled water. What kind of place doesnt serve tap water? Our waiter was pushy when we were ordering and didnt check in on us at all. Another server brought out our food. I had the penne with pesto, which actually wasnt that bad (the only reason why I put 2 stars instead of just one). We had to ask another server to find ours so we could get our check. Its a loud, chaotic place with very poor service. I will never come back. I do not recommend eating here!

The management here is absolutely horrible. You will be nickel and dimed for everything. Not only were we almost forced to by bottled water because they refused us tap water until we pressed the issue but portion sizes were quite small for the price and the chicken was of low quality at that. When our issues were brought up with our waiter no one from management ever came out to give us as little as an apology. Certainly not worth coming back or even trying in the first place.

Food was really good, but we were charged 2.50 for the water we ordered, which is the same price as the soda, without being told we would be charged. None of the sandwiches (cheapest being 12 dollars) come with fries, and a side of fries is 7 dollars! I feel especially bad for the waitstaff, as the establishment doesnt allow credit card tips, which Im sure impacts their earning potential.

This place helped with my husbands special dietary needs two nights in a row. We wanted a sit down dinner and this fit the bill. Is it pricey? Yes a little, BUT its on the boardwalk, and we had no complaints about our food or the service. We LOVED our waitress, she was amazing :) The waiter the first night was amazing as well! Thank you guys for these seasoned OC, NJ family members!

The food here is not worth the price. My husband got a panini (blt) and only ate half of it. My order came out wrong the first time and I should have stuck with that because what came out next was really sub-par...the most watered-down version of alfredo Ive ever seen. The waitress was really nice, too bad shes working there.

We had good food and equally good service. For sure the prices are a little high for the overall quality but you have to consider this is a sit down restaurant right on the boardwalk, so they can get away with charging a higher price. It was just what we wanted though, quick, good, and near the hotel and boardwalk.

Waiter was good! Food was good! Got the check and noticed a $14.95 charge for salads???? We didnt ask for them I thought they came with the meal!! Feel cheated and will never go back because of it!

Two stars for the staff and environment however, all the food is frozen and nothing tasted fresh. Beware, they also will not allow you to leave tips with credit card and you must have cash.
