Stopped into this diner after trying a few other places in the area on Sunday morning but being turned away because of hour long waiting times. We called ahead to confirm we were a party of 15 people, and the staff was still caught off guard by the reservation when we arrived 35 minutes later. There were already other guests waiting to be seated and none of the hostesses could clearly express where to wait so there was a lot of bumping and "sorry - excuse mes" exchanged. Once seated, the waitress took our order, she seemed like she didnt want to be there but pushed through. After we received our food I was shocked at the presentation. Ive been to many small town diners and at the very least they give you a mediocre presentation. I ordered bacon, home fries, and two eggs sunny side up and was surprised to see that they only served 4 short pieces of bacon that were all curled up on top of the egg poking the yolk. The point of sunny side up is to enjoy it as soon the eater pops it, not to receive it already cooling. My husband had the same order but asked to replace the homefries with corned beef hash but they said that "substitution" couldnt be made (this is a table of 15 hungry people and you cant make one simple switch?!). He decided to make the full order of two eggs, bacon, home fries, and corned beef hash as a separate order but they served it cold and almost raw. The pink of the meat was completely exposed! Now to the point of the waitress not being able to make substitutions she still served my husband two eggs and hash browns only and said she would be back with the bacon. That doesnt add up, but okay. My brother in law ordered steak and eggs, and it wasnt noted how large the steak was, when he asked the waitress ran away while saying she would find out - not even a smile and let me check for you. She came back a few minutes later and said it was a 12 oz. He ordered it, but when it arrived it was just cooked meat, no seasoning at all, not even a dash of salt and pepper. He ended up seasoning it himself with A1 and table s+p. My nephew ordered silver dollar pancakes and they served them with the batter drips! I couldnt believe that they didnt even work on the smallest presentation skills of a diner. The food was okay, I too seasoned mine because my potatoes werent seasoned and barely cooked to taste but I digress. For a quick bite with zero expectations, this place is okay but other than that dont get your hopes up!

I ordered some to go food from Omega this past weekend. I got a sausage breakfast and my husband got a club sandwich, no tomato and a side of thousand island. When we got home, my breakfast had no sausage and my husbands sandwich had tomato and no thousand island. No problem, people make mistakes. I called the diner to see if we could get something figured out, and asked to speak to the manager. Oh great, the manager says shes the one that took my order. This woman proceeds to tell me that I did not ask for no tomato or a side of thousand island. I double check with my husband just to make sure that I hadnt gone insane in the past half hour, and he assured me that he listened to me order what we had decided on ordering. I tell her again that I did in fact ask for these things. She continued to argue, saying that I hadnt. I asked her if she would then be willing to send a refund for the sausage that was missing from my breakfast, and she said no. If I wanted anything, I would have to drive back to the diner myself and get it. Obviously, I was already home, angry, and didnt feel like getting into an altercation with this woman in person over sausage. I declined. Ive eaten at this diner before, and the food is mediocre at best. The customer service, however, is atrocious. There a million diners in Jersey with better food, and much, much nicer management. If you decide to go here, good luck. I hope for your sake no one in the restaurant makes a mistake.

Not sure where to start when explaining why Im never going back to this place. The host didnt say a word to us and looked frustrated when we asked for a booth by the window. The menu was overly complicated (you get 3 pancakes for the same price as a 2 shortstack) and inaccurate (the "specials" were more expensive than the regular items with the EXACT same things. The pancakes and French toast were super basic and bland. Our syrup came in a container and the coffee wasnt great. The only plusses were the waitress being nice and the food came pretty quickly. The last straw that solidified the fact that we wont return was the rude woman at the check out counter. She refused to acknowledge us when we walked up (a "hello, Ill be right with you" would suffice) then blamed me when I asked to take the itemized. "You should have told me you wanted one when I printed it!" she scolded as I tried to grab the itemized version under my signed copy. Incredibly rude and inhospitable.

I got ripped off yesterday afternoon on an order that I was missing a BLT sandwich. I went back to diner to explain that I did not get the BLT sandwich that I ordered and wanted my money back. The gentleman at the cash register refused to give me credit for the BLT sandwich that I did not receive. My receipt also did not have my 2 items listed that I purchased (a BLT sandwich and a classic Caeser salad). I was charged for both items $17.06, but the BLT sandwich was missing. He went to call the police one me when I demanded this credit. Im going to stop in tomorrow morning to see what the manager can do for me. If I dont get this credit I will ask for the corporate address for Omega Diner to see what the corporate office can do for me. I also informed this cashier that Omega Diner has lost a customer and that I will also not recommend this Diner to people I know any more.

Very tricky one. This place has a huge menu and some dishes that sound very good. In all that menu I could not find a simple marinated or grilled chicken. I was eventually guided by the very friendly waitress about all the dishes that have chicken in them and as I got the impression I could not have just a simple chicken breast I chose the Grilled chicken sandwich with a side of home fries. Both ended up to be barley ok with dry and tasteless home fries and the chicken in the sandwich was also pretty dry. Or old. Also had a ham omelet which was ok. Finished all with a strawberry cheesecake which was good. Cappuccino was meh (putting sweet cream on a Cappuccino is a no no). I guess other choices on the menu would have been better. The service was really good and the interior is nice and the place itself is actually huge inside.

My cake (caramel black and white cake) tasted like nail polish remover, but the cheesecake was pretty good. I didnt complain but looking back I wish that I did. The management is AWFUL. The manager (maybe owner?) was incredibly rude to our waitress when she asked him about which cake was which. She wasnt the best waitress but shes going to have a very hard time improving if this is how management responds to her questions. She accidentally charged us for an extra coffee, she told the manager this so he could remove it and he said "okay, you will pay for it" to the waitress. Im assuming he was joking, but after how he treated her earlier I wasnt so sure. I wont be going here again because of that manager. Best of luck to the waitress, she was very sweet and just needs a better environment to get more skilled at her job.
