My wife and I have only been here a few times since it became the Barrel House. They have a wonderful beer and wine menu and their food is very good. I tend to favor the burger, but last time even though I asked for rare it came out well done. The reason Im still giving it 5 stars is because the waitress was very apologetic and even offered to take it off the bill. I dont downgrade a restaurant just because of one somewhat bad experience. The interior is wonderful as well and is in an old brick building with beautiful hardwood floors. When the weather is warm the outer doors all open up onto the street and it creates a really great atmosphere. Service can be a little slow on nights when there is a show at the theater, so make sure to call ahead and see if theyre busy.

Had a nice experience here last night. Our waiter was great, really humble, especially when dealing with my (not so shy) 5 year old. :) He treated him as an adult, with utter respect, when I wouldnt have blamed him for just laughing out loud at him. ANyway, the food was great. My only complaint was the steak was a little over done. I asked for med/rare, but it came out true medium. Disappointing. But I mostly still enjoyed my meal. The crab cakes, clams and pizza are all great. Service good as well. The menu is lacking a bit. Sorry, I just cant help but compare to Trinity which was amazing in every way, lol. Anyway, Ill still be back, just wont order a steak.

Highly recommend the bruschetta chicken breast. Was really impressed with the staff. Very friendly. The waitress walked me through the cocktail list and I ended up going with the blackberry mimosa which was delicious. Great ambience too. I will definitely be bringing all of my friends here.

Love this place. I come here almost once a week on lunch breaks. The food is great, especially the barrel burger. Drinks are good as well. the rotate the taps pretty frequently. In the summer they open the front french doors leading to spring street to let in fresh air and give an open feel

Service was terrible, one server for whole room. Had to ask for a tray of bread and when it came, it was stale. Asked for a nice cold beer, but got a warm one. Food was just okay. Would not return to this establishment or recommend it to anyone.

Pizzas are great try the sausage and red pepper one. The arugula salad with shrimp is exellent and a great value. The malbec is a good choice of wine.
