I like the atmosphere and the food is good...not especially memorable, nor particularly ambitious, but solidly reliable. The single thing that keeps me from visiting more often is their service, which is highly variable to say the least. I could live with it being slow, or poorly informed or even indifferent, but on more than one visit Pines service has hit all three of those low, low bars. Two years ago, they so completely misinformed me about their New Years hours (despite slow, careful questioning many hours ahead of time) that my party arrived to find the kitchen had closed, mere minutes before.

This place is defently racist, same old people. Just because we were younger and didnt know any one we got rude service and i heard the owner is a coke head who treats people like crap. And im not a trashy or your run of the mill bar patron i just like to try new places but never again . Do not waste your time go to phinny mcgees it is much more of a friendly place . By the way i was denied service after one drink i guess they dont take kindly to outsiders who dont fit there mold!

Ggman you obviously took the short bus and showed up already drunk. It takes a lot to be refused at that bar, so you were definitely being obnoxious. The owner is probably the nicest man in town and definitely not a coke head. A lot of the regulars during the day are old white men but are not racist at all. Also being young isnt a "race". Stick with phinnies were I.q. Is not an issue.

really good food and a nice quiet atmosphere. No blasting jukebox or other noise to talk over. Had the veal and peppers and onions. It was delicious. The "stuffed pepper soup" was outstanding as well. Everything you expect in a stuffed pepper (green peppers, ground meat, tomatoes, onions, etc) maid into a stew in a rich tomato broth. It was so good.

Great bar ...great food...even better when Larry bring s his band in....they are excellent! ! Awsome band...everyone one of them is a terrific musician. ..especially lead guitarist. .amazing !!! Had 4 meals and drinks for 3 hours and still under 65$ ..best bar in the area !!!

The food is great. The staff is great. Amazing home town bar with the best food our of all the bars. You have to get the potato chips with cheesesteak toppings. Healthy options also available here. Also love their roast pork sandwiches.

Server was very kind. We came in with 8 people without calling ahead so the food took some time to prepare, but it was worth the wait. I recommend sticking with their specials. They are well thought out and practiced.

The pines is cozy and relaxed. The staff is very friendly and personable. You can find great dinner specials as well as a nice dinner menu. Good tap beer selections. Bottled and draught craft beers to choose from.

Wonderful gastropub with some seriously yummy food. We go here often during the week to eat and have a drink. Downside can be the frequent crowdedness of the place, but embracing the cozy atmosphere is worth it!

This place has the best wings and French onion soup that I ever had. They also have Miller high life bottles for 2.25 $ all day long, which are great with spicy food.
