Ordered take away tonight and almost canceled before I placed the order because the cost was outrageous. I should have listened to my instinct to not pay $60 for Chinese for 3 people. The "steamed pork buns" were dumplings, not pork buns. The "shrimp toast" tasted like nothing but the lemon wedge that was in the container and were no larger than a half-dollar coin. They also happened to be dry, falling apart and tasted like nothing, except for the ginger sauce I had to drown it in to be able to eat it. The fried rice was decent, but lacking flavor. The shrimp in lobster sauce was more like "$14 lobster-less sauce with 3 shrimp." All-in-all, I was thoroughly disappointed in the meal. A friend had recommended this place to me after having an "amazing meal" yesterday, so it seems as as this place is a true hit-or-miss on the day you order. I wouldnt risk it again, doesnt seem worth the reward, could probably make the same meal better for $10.

I stumbled on this tiny hole-in-the-wall Chinese restaurant by accident while shopping in the area. My first impression was very positive. The decor and music were soothing, the waiter friendly and inviting. I always try General Tso chicken at a new-to-me Chinese Restaurant. The menu called it "white meat" chicken so I took a shot. I added hot and sour soup and waited. In a word, WOW! The Generals chicken was the best I have ever, ever had. The withe meat makes a difference - tender without being chewy but, because of masterful cooking, the meat was still moist. 5 stars! The bigger surprise is the clear-broth soup. Most hot and sour soup is dark brown and gloopy. Their version is clear, light and full of fresh taste - double WOW! I live many miles away, but manage to visit about every 4 or 5 weeks because the food is THAT good. Looking for a new "favorite" restaurant, dine here... Highly recommended.

Had dinner here tonight for a friends birthday. The service was great and the food was delicious. We were shocked how quickly they were able to bring out such a large order. Speaking of large order, I ordered the house special lo mein and boneless spare ribs. These 2 things alone were easily enough for 3 people to share. We will definitely be adding T S Ma to our list of restaurants to visit when hungry. I saw another reviewer mention price, while it is a bit pricier than your normal chinese take-out, the food quality is definitely better than your typical chinese and warrants a higher price. Also with the large portion sizing it is easy to justify the prices.

Cost is higher than what would normally be expected for Chinese take-out. That said, I did notice the quality of ingredients seemed to be higher. Unfortunately, the better ingredients did not seem to carry through to better flavor. Most of the food was quite bland. If you want better chicken/beef/etc and are willing to compromise a bit on flavor, TS Ma is fine. Portions are a little smaller than most Chinese take-out places. Staff was friendly. Not a lot of parking directly out front but plenty nearby.

I used to go to this restaurant when they were at 33rd and 8th avenue in Manhattan. They were the best Chinese restaurant in midtown and I would always order enough to take home. I miss their wings and the pork fried rice was terrific. The general Tsos chicken was amazing and not to mention the food seemed to be even better when you ate in as the food was nice and hot. I miss them so much. My company used to even have our Christmas party there and they would really take good care of us!!!

The food here is simply amazing. I ordered the Sesame chicken and also Salt Peppered Shrimp and I living in heaven. The food here is amazing, and the inside is appealing. It feels so peaceful inside here, and the people who work here seems like theyre enjoying their time serving people. They really want you to enjoy with a smile so that everyone is happy. Their food is amazing but some of their foods are rather expensive but it is totally worth it if you want to leave with a happy face.

The food is a step above typical local Chinese-American food. For mains we had the Special Shrimp which were cooked really well, the vegetables were really fresh, and the sauce had a good flavor. We also had the Lo Mein which also had a decent flavor with an off-putting char that we werent sure if it was intentional or not. The restaurant is clean and more of a restaurant than other Chinese takeout restaurants. The server was extremely attentive, but a little push and not friendly.

Good food, but the customer service is not the best. The women in the front are not very courteous to the large number of people that take out. It should be redesigned to accommodate the number of people that go there on a Friday or Christmas day! People were literally stepping on each other and this one women pulled my arm, twice to get in the place! So if you are going here, dont go on a Friday night unless you order ahead of time and take your time getting there..

The food is simply excellent. My only gripe, which is often reiterated by people that I speak to, is that the wait staff is too overbearing: they hover/harass you to order and/or constantly implore you to move onto the next course. In addition when you ask them to give you time, too often they serve you condescending glares. Bottomline they are impatient with diners and need to be reminded that most patrons enjoy conversations while eating.

My honey and I went here for the first time today. He had general tsos chicken and I had gen. tsos tofu (not on menu but I asked for it) and we both loved our dishes. Definately the best weve had. They were a little busy but the service was still just as great! The portions were large too enough to take home. We both were very happy with our meals and this will be our new favorite Chinese spot. Pretty awesome and I dont write many reviews.

Very good chinese. Nice simple and clean setting, a little on the small side, so not the place to go with very large parties. Pretty good chinese food, try their chef specials: Lions head (Shangai meatballs), peppered beef (they have another one prepared with jalapeno peppers which is unbelievably hot, but good!). A sure bet for a family friendly, casual place to eat. Pick up and deliveries as well.

My husband and I love this restaurant. We have been there about 4 times and its always a nice atmosphere, good service, and fantastic food. We order something different every time and everything is great. Its always very busy, because the food is so good. We have taken friends and family there and everyone loves the food. The FOOD is excellent.

I was very disappointed to learn that today, Jan 1, 2017 the lunch specials did not exist. Why is that? No where does it state that Sundays are omitted from the lunch portions and thought to myself that on this day, after weve celebrated New Years Eve, T S Ma decides to charge for full portions without any explanation.

Good - place is clean and byob a plus Better- service is great... very friendly and quick Best thing about it - Chinese food that doesnt make you feel absolutely drenched in grease. Vegetables are fresh , not canned. Definitely no MSG... Im allergic to it so I would know. Great hot green tea... not the powdered kind.
