Stopped in in Saturday March 12 for something to eat before a show at the Levoy across the street. We arrived at 5:45. A waitress came over with menus and asked if we wanted to start off with a drink. She came back approx. 5-10 min. later to take our orders, which were Guinees sliders, hamburger sliders, French fries and onion rings. We waited and waited for our food to be served. At approx 6:50 our waitress came over apologizing for the wait and said "they were finishing things up now". About 20 minutes later she returned and apologized again saying that it would probably only be another 5-10 minutes! I informed her that we had tickets for the show and she said we should be fine since the show didnt begin until 8:00. I guess that would depend on what time our food was served??? We finally got our food after 7:30!! An hour and forty five minute wait?????? Thank goodness neither of us ordered a full dinner! I am not blaming the waitress at all but there was definitely a problem in the kitchen. There were 3 waitresses trying to appease every table in the beer garden area because there was no food being brought to anyone except an occasional salad or bowl of soup. Those poor waitresses were also pouring beer and making drinks behind the bar! When my food was finally served it was slightly warmer than lukewarm. At least one group sitting near us left without eating and another couple had take out containers when we saw them AFTER the show. At some point there should have been a manager or owner that came around with apologies, not just those poor waitresses. Very poor management in light of the fact that you must know that your establishment could be quite a bit more crowded on show nights. Its doubtful that I will be returning again under these circumstances.

My girlfriend and I attended the oar house with a couple of friends & ordered a beer over at the beer garden. Once we sat down at a table my girlfriend was belligerently harassed by the owner Todd Moore. He accused her of being under age & got in her face and told her to get the F* out. After presenting her ID.. We decided to leave unsettled by the way we were treated at that point. We told them not to worry about the fries that we had ordered which never even ended up on our table. Paid for the beer tab & tried to leave. Todd Moore blocked the door with his pathetic body guards. Pushed me & told me i wasnt going anywhere until we paid for the fries that we havent even seen yet. They held us against our will after disrespecting my girlfriend. Todd was instigating with his body guards trying to provoke a fight. He held us hostage like a GANG. This place is top grade dirt for low life trash! Dont waste your time going here!.

Pros: Good food, good beer selection Cons: Poor management, service is fair to poor, serves obviously intoxicated patrons, low class patrons frequent the establishment that seem like regulars along with some good decent folks. Our car was keyed while in parking lot where they have cameras yet there was ZERO cooperation in even looking. Spoke to the male manager, who promised follow up to contact me and they never did follow up. It was obvious during the conversation that the manager knew the subjects in question that was suspected and covered it up by not providing the video nor the identity of the two suspect individuals. That was the last time we went there and will be the last time we go there. Many posts on here regarding owner and managers that are negative and that is a shame as I thought the place was decent for a local bar, but to say this is upscale is laughable at best.

The young girls who work there are constantly poked and prodded by the older predatory men who are running the establishment, often leaving marks and bruises on their body. One Saturday night they allowed a patron to get so drunk, and then proceeded to carry him outside of the bar and left him on the sidewalk because he couldnt walk. If they are this careless with their employees and patrons - Im sure I dont want to know what goes on "behind" the scenes. My daughter worked there. Rob Holmes - the manager told her if she didnt take her sweater off (to reveal her tank top) that he was going to rip it off of her and has repeatedly touched her in inappropriate ways.

Is there a better bar in Cumberland County? The Double-Eagle Saloon closes in as a near second, but let the record show that The Old Oar House Irish Pub is by far the best bar in the county, sporting an excellent atmosphere, authentic Irish cuisine accompanied by your American pub classics, an all-season beer garden outdoors, and consistent 40+ beers on tap; the Oar House has it all and has excellent service and professional bartenders to make it all come together.

Over 40 beers on tap. Seriously this is the beer capital of South Jersey. From the large brand names to local breweries, if you are a beer afficionado this is the spot. I love the pub food selection as well as the weekly specials selected and crafted by Chef John with locally (Philly) bought food. This is my favorite place to end up. Sláinte!

I really enjoy the Oar House. Ive been going to this pub for years, its the only place in the area that provides an authentic pub atmosphere with a wide selection of craft brews. Its definitely the first only my list when it comes to suggesting a wonderful local place to grab a drink... Oh, and the food isnt bad either!

The waitress was working the kitchen at same time. Sweet & trying. Bartender was NOT focused on service but friends at the bar. Food came 1 minute after drinks. And we were right next to bar! No manager in sight. But a Sunday night so I guess service shouldnt be expected?!? I wont let that happen again!

We showed up yesterday with 17 people, giving them an hours notice...lunch was great...not one complaint around the table! Katelyn was our lucky? waitress and she was efficient and personable. She provided us with separate/couple checks as well, which made things much easier as we paid. Well be back!

Over 40 Brews on Tap. 4+ Chef (Scratch made Soups!!!) -- MANY Delicious Recipes with Daily Specials. Will accommodate Low Salt Diets. NOTE: Happy Hour 3PM to 5PM. ADDITIONAL NOTE: Is a HIGH Class Bar/Restaurant and takes a lot of "poor behavior" be to be "Blocked At the Door"

Good food. Atmosphere can be very loud when live music present, but they accommodated our request to be seated in the dining room instead for a quieter (ie - could be heard without yelling across the table to one another) atmosphere. Good beer selection.

Its a solid bar with a good rep. Nice spot to hang with a few friends, especially while theres a band playing. Just dont expect much elbow room up front, when theres a band. Ive never eaten here, but the food looks great. Always a good time.

The food here is always good. Great selection of mixed drinks and better on tap. Waitstaff is often a little slow, but they are always friendly, so it balances. Live music has always been enjoyable. Great place to eat, drink, and hang out.

Nice enough establishment but I feel its ruined by the clientele. Drinks can be a bit pricey, too. Overall still probably the nicest bar experience youre going to get in Millville, though.
