Used to study and hang out with friends at this Starbucks all the time in high school. Now Im about to graduate from college, and I was back in Matawan on spring break. I headed over there for the first time in a long time looking for a place to sit and work on a paper, and I must say I was very disappointed to see they had renovated it. This is by far not the first time theyve done this, but what was once cozy couches, armchairs and small tables has become awkwardly placed, dining room-sized tables and chairs. There is less seating this way, and it is near impossible to get a spot where one can sit alone (everything is designed for a group of people rather than individuals). Bad move, Starbucks Matawan.

Ordered two Ice Green Tea Lattes. Woman, who appeared to be be manager.. proceeded to make them both while talking to a friend. She hands me the two drinks 1/2 white 1/2 green... didnt mix it or wipe it. I looked at her for a second to make sure she was serious. After I realized she was done. I shook my head. Grabbed napkins to wipe the tops and shook them all over the front counter spilling green tea all over. She didnt get the hint. I cleaned up the mess.. left and wont return. Poor work.

Great place. Manager appears to be grumpy from time to time. The staff isnt as welcoming as other locations Ive been to I visit many Starbucks location throughout the course of my week and this one is the only one Ive come across whos cups leak. The lids dont fit securely on the cup causing it to drip as you drink from it. Ive mentioned this to them in the past a few times as Im told others have as well, but yet the problem hasnt been resolved.

Today I stop by Starbucks Matawan I ordered my favorite coffee, doppio long, first one wasnt made properly, I had to request to make it again, second one was perfect, good response and attitude. However, what really made me down was the lack of cleanliness, trash all over the place :( . I didnt feel comfortable having my favorite coffee among the trash. Hope management make changes. I would like to come back and have my coffee in a neat place!

Not much different here than in other Starbucks; employees were friendly, drinks were taken quick, order came out tasting as it should. The main reason its receiving 4 stars is that the wait for my order was about 15 minutes due to one employee making the drinks while several employees took orders. Ive seen more people in Starbucks served in much less time, they just needed to organize themselves better.

Susan the manager of this store in really a racist woman, she is very rude awful, and not professional with customers. If youre there dont let her take your order, because she doesnt know how to operate the register and also she might double charge you for a cup of coffee or a lemon cake. I always go to different Starbucks and they are very nice and sweet. However this location sucks.

I love this Starbucks location. It has great seating choices and is usually the right kind of busy. It is generally pretty clean as Starbucks go. Its always properly staffed and they are always nice. The place was redone recently and is nicer to sit. But it is a busy place and hard to concentrate. All in all I give it a 4 but they need to keep improving service and keeping it clean.

Great and fast service. Friendly staff. Good drinks. When I asked to reload my card on the spot, I had no issues like at other Starbucks locations. My boyfriend recently came here to get a coffee before work, and he dropped and spilled it by accident.The kind staff made another right on the spot for him. Definitely one of my favorite Starbucks locations.

Starbucks Coffee isnt my favorite. There is much better coffee around if you take time to look for it but in terms of convenience and amount of locations its a good alternative when you cant find a great cafe. Usually pretty crowded and there is usually a wait so be prepared. Staff is great here.

My home town Starbucks and friendly staff. However I order a medium coffee with 2 shots and wanted milk added, and server Lisa refused and told me shell just leave room because of added step. If Im paying $4.44, plus tip for a coffee you can at least add milk if I ask. Respectively

went in for an iced green tea latte with added matcha. The matcha was just dumped on top and not mixed in at all. I was late for work so had to grab it and go then had to try to break up the clumps of matcha that had formed at the top . Doubt Ill go back there

We ordered cambros of coffee for our wedding reception, not only was the manager SO helpful but they even dressed up the containers for us with the most adorable wedding bells and drawings! They went above and beyond to ensure happy customers. Thank you!!

Most of the Batistas have no idea what they are doing. As a former employee, I could tell the espresso bar was dirty and I would never order a hot drink because the steam wand is disgusting.

Personally Im more of a Dunkin fan. If there was a Dunkin/Starbucks Im definitely siding with dunkin. But Im super lazy so if Starbucks is more convenient I would cheat on my wife Dunkin.
