Jim and the team at 1st-Line are top notch in their willingness to walk a newbie through the ins and outs of espresso machine maintenance and upkeep. Ive visited their shop twice to have our espresso machine serviced, and theyre always willing to help out in a pinch. Their online tutorials and huge inventory of espresso machine parts will always keep me coming back when our machine is on the fritz.

I have purchased well over $3K worth of espresso equipment from Jim. Havent had a bad experience. He spent over an hour on the phone with me helping decide on a grinder purchase. Yes, I can see he comes across as a bit gruff, but that doesnt bother me. He doesnt mince words but hes always been responsive. Prices are fair and they have good selection.

Expect little to no service. In owners words, he does have enough markup in some of the thousand dollar machines he sells to help customers figure out why they wont work or help obtain warranty parts despite supposedly being an authorized distributor.

Shady Business Practices - Charges 5.5% cancellation fee on an order that didnt even ship. Order was place onSaturday. My credit card was charged immediately. Stay away...this place is not reputable.

1st, their shipping charges are very high. 2nd, they shipped a part supposed to fit my machine but did not. 3rd, they wouldnt accept a return of the wrong part. A 4th-rate outfit. Avoid.
