Upon entering Estia Taverna, the receptionist greeted us with a big friendly smile. This was really nice and inviting. We were then introduced to the table host who would seat us. She had tattoos on her arms and feet, in addition to a nose ring. Extremely unprofessional. In that type of role, a table host must look and act that part, as she represents the business. The tattoos should have been covered up, and the nose ring needs to come out while on the job! At first, everything seemed to be fantastic once we sat down. The server came over to the table within a minute or two, was extremely friendly and explanatory, and took our drink and food orders. Our drinks and appetizers came, and they were great. Then things changed... It took another 10-15 minutes for our entrees to arrive, delivered by another waiter. After tasting everything, our main courses needed salt and pepper. There was no table check by our server for another 7-8 minutes or so, which is entirely too long. She finally came over to ask how everything was and we asked for salt and pepper... but by this time, we were almost done eating. A few minutes later, another server came by and said he was training the original female server we had who seemed to have disappeared, as we no longer saw her. He was very friendly, but by that time we were already very disappointed. Our original server was still nowhere in sight anywhere.... did she go to dinner? Was she on the phone? Where was she? The portions seemed to be slightly small. Im glad we were served bread first. After another 15-20 minutes, we saw our original server waiting on the table next to us. She never came by our table again to check on us. Really disappointing. We wound up leaving a less than average tip for the unsatisfactory service. We hope they got the message and improve their service to others.

Went to Pietros in Marlton for dinner at my wifes request since our neighborhood had a blackout. Let me reiterate: WAY OVERRATED... Upon arrival, my first irritation was tight parking. Parking spaces were really small and adding to my fustration were a few friends of the business with their construction vehicles yapping it up in the parking lot taking up 10 spaces cause they were parked lengthwise across the open spots. OK, nothing to do with the food, so we continue... The entrance to the restaurant was plastered with "ZAGAT RATED" stickers. Really obnoxious, as if the only reason people would eat there is if the all mighty Zagat sat his royall but down in there and had at least a glass of water. On to the food... not yet. We were seated immediately upon arrival, asked for a child seat. The restaurant was not crowded, so why was everyone lumped together in one area? No privacy at all and it was really annoying to look at all of the empty seats. OK, onto the food! We ordered the fried calamari rings with marinara. Perfectly done, but it was an app. We had the Friday special: Mediteranean Seafood Linguini. Blah. It tasted like it was the remains of the days sauce. The scallops and shrimp were way overdone (like chewing on rubber...) , the salmon did not taste fresh at all and there was one tiny piece of crab meat. No mussels to be found and there was a mystery fish added for bulk. We also had a traditional "coal oven" margherita pizza. It was OK. Long story short, me and my wife were not impressed. For what they offer and are good at: Pizza & Beer, it is very expensive. Waitress lost interest in us after dinner was served and took a half hour from the time we said we are done, please wrap it up and give us the check before I could leave. (but attended to her other customers, wtf?) We will never go there again.

Hey man, we love food, and we LIVE for finding new restaurants - so we were very excited to try a new place, especially Greek, which this area desperately needs. The menu is designed for bar snacks, is mostly seafood, and there are few interesting traditional Greek dishes. Listen, Im happy to pay $150 for dinner for two, but it annoys me to do so and to leave hungry and have to go to a diner afterward. Come on man, 3 little lamb chops is 3 bites of food. We are HUNGRY! Give us some food! The tiny amount of food was quite good and the service was friendly, but there was not enough of it! Bottom line: do NOT go here if you are hungry, because you will leave here looking for someplace to eat. Note to owners- do not let your accountants help you plan the menu - suck it up and FEED your customers. This place is typical of a new restaurant in a fair location that peaks for 3 months then closes in the next 6. When word of mouth says, "It was OK, but too pricey" that means you cant get Center City prices on Route 73 across from the Shop Rite.

My husband and I love going here. We even take our 3 year old who loves this place. We always order the Mussels in White Wine, the Chicken Limone which comes with a side of spaghetti, and the Mediteranean Salad as single portions. We can sit there all day dipping our fresh baked bread in the juices of our appetizer and entree or in the good quality oil at the table. It is always plenty of food and with drinks it only costs us under $40 so we dont mind eating out since frankly we would spend about that to eat this kind of food at home. The food always tastes great. The service is not always 100% satisfactory, but I dont have any major complaints. My other favorite thing to order is the Fra Diavolo. I think it is the best around.

Great service and just wow for the food! Get seafood. Seriously. Its so fresh, I felt like I was eating on the Mediterranean! They cook it to perfection (not even close to rubbery or dry). The grilled octopus appetizer was stunning. My greek grandmother loved their moussaka too! Portion sizes are sized for normal portions.. Dont expect gigantic American sizes. If you share and appetizer, eat your whole meal and then squeeze in a shared dessert, I cant see how youd leave hungry unless you really dont understand portion control. Eat here with a group or on a date. Their wine selection is lovely and I really cant complain about anything at all. Enjoy!

Im not sure why this place was so delicious, but it was! It was nice to have a restaurant feel with some great food that tasted like grandma was in the back cooking it. I got the enchilada and chile relleno combo. Rice and beans were delish, as were the main dishes. Large portions so next time I dont need two items. They also give you complimentary chips and salsa bar, all very good. Salsa was HOT haha so we stuck to the pico de gallo which was the least hot of them all for these two white girls!

The food here is really not that authentic and not that flavorful. I imagine if you dont know the difference, you might be satisfied. But it doesnt make the cut for a quality dining experience. We had issues with service, but the major thing is that the food is rather bland by Greek standards. They do use fresh ingredients, but not enough spices that one associates with Greek food. An analogy would be an Italian restaurant that doesnt use garlic or cheese. For the money, there are better options.
