Got take out food. Family was eating there and raves about the place so they were kind enough to order me some eggplant Parmesan and bring it home! Came with salad, some breadsticks/rolls and a side of pasta. A lot of food! Salad was "floating" in the container. FULL of water! The salad contained the stem ends or peppers, one slice of tomato and the butt end of the lettuce, the hard not edible white part on the bottom, there was more than one chunk of that in my salad. It went into the trash..... The pasta was devoid of any sauce with a TINY dollop of bitter awful sauce (straight out of a can and full of tomato paste) that went into the trash and was also watery. (pasta not stained well, probably taken right out of the pot into the box! It was MUSH and over cooked, and also contained pieces of pasta other than Penne---obviously they are re using water!!!!!!!! it went into the trash! The rolls/breadsticks-----there was a 3" piece of breadstick in the box with three garlic bread balls that were dark and dry, the 3 piece of breadstick was torn, NOT cut---I would venture to say they were probably recycled from someones table---- My eggplant turned out not only to NOT be eggplant, but three MUSHY slices of not edible eggplant smothered in cheese and sauce, and TWO hunks of dry NOT EDIBLE chicken.....I ordered EGGPLANT, NOT CHICKEN. I am a Vegetarian for gods sake! To add insult to injury there were under the rubbery cheese and crappy sauce not one, not two, but THREE sharp, ragged pieces of cow bone, probably meaning the sauce was cooked with bones in it and was NOT a tomato base sauce like everyone else in the world serves with pasta and eggplant. So This also went into the trash..... After a long HOT day I sat down LATE to eat a take out dinner only be served up trash.. All they left out of my dinner was someones glass eye, a used condom and a cigarette butt. Obviously I will NEVER patron this "place" again and I would highly suggest you think twice about going there. If a kitchen staff is lack enough to let poorly made food pass through, inedible salad with root and stems, and BONES, SHARP BONES in food mixed in with cheese and sauce where they can be eaten or swallowed!!!! and possibly bread from someones table!!!!!!!! And a waitress that did not have the time to listen to an order, and obviously wrote it down wrong, or took it upon herself to order up a special or more expensive dinner... This place is far worse than a typical diner---beware, avoid and think twice before digging in.....you could choke on a bone, or Uncle festers glass eye.....

Not good, amazing the reviews. Apparently these people have never eaten outside of franklinville. I have been there twice, yes I knew not to go back after the first time yet I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt. Pasta water on the plate, the red sauce is home made, they buy #9 size cans of pasta sauce and add some herbs, and do a horrific job doctoring. Its like red mud. Veal no flavor, just water and lemon flavor along with the chicken. Anything parmesan, eg. egg plant, chicken, veal etc... its like eating a red sauce foot. Service very good though, so if you want good service and horrible food this is your place. It seems like there was never an Italian anywhere near this building in its conception. Italian food is a simple task Carollos failed. Especially this menu. There portions are are big, that is what the good reviews represent, not the taste.

Ordered a pasta dish, shrimp, clams and scallops in marinara sauce. The ingredients were fresh, the pasta al dente, all should have been good. This restaurant puts grated cheese in their sauce. No mention of it on the menu. The cheese made the dish almost inedible. Worse still is that cheese is not in my diet. Service was ok, we opened and poured the wine, guess staff did not think it was their job. Cheese with seafood is an aboration in most Italian households.

I share the experience with the last review. Food was barely ok on one occasion, and terrible on others. maybe it depends on what is being ordered. They once made a blatant mistake on billing and double charged cc. When I inquired, they did correct it, but were pretty anal about it. The guy that worked the cash register that day was pretty unpleasant and made your appetite disappear

Pizza was awesome!!!! I could say it was possibly some of the best pizza I have had so far since moving to NJ. Wings were also very good, service was exceptional and staff was very friendly. The atmosphere was very comfortable and cozy; the prices were reasonable. A nice place to bring the family for dinner. We will definitely be back to try some of their other Italian dishes ;)

The food is beyond amazing. Portions of everything is huge, especially their dinner platters. Every dinner is homemade to order. BUT, the staff is so rude at times and they mess our order up a lot. Theyve charged us wrong as well. Only reason we go is because we love the food. The staff needs to learn to smile and take their time so they stop messing orders up.

Price doesnt match quality. Why is it a $10 minimum for take out? Menu isnt consistent, always more than one you have at home. The seat yourself when busy there just gets frustrating, people walk in after you and get seated. .. Tried delivery. Over an hour for a cheese steak and chicken fingers. I live three house down.... Enough said

Ordered some food tonight and the girl over the phone corfirmed my order. Took them 30 minutes to make 2 cheese steaks. My order was wrong. Not only that, the counter girls young, incompetent and they were extremely rude. They gave me a hard time when I told them my order was wrong. The foods good, the staff, not so much.

By far the best restaurant in Franklinville, i have been to a lot of restaurants with my family but Carollos is far the best one yet. They have tons of foods to choose from, they have big portion dishes that taste amazing! I am definitely coming back for more no doubt. I recommend this restaurant.

Place is packed on the weekends, so they are making money but the food is "hit & miss". If i spend $100 dollars i expect it to be good everytime. I received reheated Garlic Knots from eariler in the day or the night before. Overall a nice place, nice atmosphere and friendly staff!

Eggplant Parmesan, not a lot of flavor. Tomato Sauce was bland and watery. Needed a lot of seasoning. Dining area was too hot to make eating comfortable. Bread basket was the best part. Erics in Vineland is still better.

Food was not good at all. I mean it was bad, im not a picky eater so when i say it was bad it was bad. They are charging restaurant prices but are giving you reheated frozen crap. Go to a diner instead.

Prompt service, excellent portions and great atmosphere. The booths are wide enough for my larger waist size. Bar prices are really good. Very popular, always a lot of other diners. No WiFi.

Amazing Pizza, food, drinks and service.. There is literally nothing bad to eat at this place atmosphere, service and delivery are great!
