Asking for 3 different phone numbers upon making a reservation was a little invasive.... Isnt my cell phone number enough???? My wifes dinner arrived a full 15 minutes later than the rest of the table (we were a party of 6). This would have been acceptable if we had not waited a full 6-7 minutes before finding out that they had overlooked her meal. During that 6-7 minutes the rest of us sat with our meals in front of us getting cold until the waiter (thanks to me asking the busboy to get him) returned to the table to explain that my wifes entree would be another 5-10 minutes. Why wasnt this mentioned upon serving the 5 other entrees?? We not offered anything for this inconvenience... Not even a free dessert or a visit by the rude manager/maitre D to apologize. When I told the waiter I was not expecting to see my wifes entree on my bill he couldnt understand why. Overall the food was very good but there are way too many excellent Italian restaurants in S. Jersey to be treated like this. It takes more than good food to make me want to recommend or visit a restaurants gain.... Unfortunately for La Locanda I wont be recommending or returning anytime soon.

Get your wallet out. This place should have $$$$. Although the food is very good, its impossible to get a reasonably priced meal. Their menu is geared towards very expense a la carte items, salads, and apps. Its still $28/person for just entrees that dont fill you up. They offer a pathetic bread basket with five very tiny pieces of bread to try to force you into ordering more items. We didnt fall for it, but walked way hungry. There are PLENTY of places just as good for a much more reasonable price. Great place for 1%ers who can afford $50/person in a strip mall casual atmosphere. We got stuck there cuz the place next door was closed and it looked innocent enough as brick oven pizza place that was also expensive and the oven was not working. We wont be going back ever. The Dover Sole is $40 with a $12 sharing charge. Everything else has a $5 sharing charge, even the pizza, so they really stick it to you. We will never go back.

1 of South Jerseys best kept secrets!Good quality food made from scratch. Authentic rustic Italian food. Not the American-Italian spaghetti and meatballs stuff. Not cheap, but wouldnt expect it to be. You get what you pay for. And actually, in this circumstance, I feel that it was worth every penny! The grilled artichokes were incredible, and I normally dont even like artichokes! I had the branzino and my wife had the salmon. We both agreed it was the best meal weve had in years. Service was top notch. We will definitely be back!

I went here this evening with my husband for a date night. This was absolutely our best dining experience EVER! The food, atmosphere, and friendly wait staff will keep us coming back. We tried 3 different dishes and each one blew us away. Yes, it is a little pricey but completely worth it. We dont get to go out as much as we would like so this is a nice treat for us. We drove an hour and a half to get here and will gladly do it again. I will be recommending this restaurant to friends and family.

I have eaten here many times. I have never had a bad meal but after this latest experience I will never be returning. We tried to call to order to take home. After several tries with no answer, we decided to just stop by. We asked if we could order to take home and were immediately told they we not doing takeout due to the fact they were booked. There were many open tables. When asked about the phone,she said they were not answering it.

The best restaurant i have been to by far, each dish is absolutely the best and comparing it to any other just makes me depressed not to be eating at La Locanda. The fish i better than anything I had in Spain or Italy and its just so great sort of pricey but incredible value considering the food and other options. Very good wait staff. Very good atmosphere. The best place you will ever go to.

This is our go-to Italian restaurant ... many weekday nights we end up here and when friends are around on weekends its a first choice as well! The food is outstanding, the wait staff are wonderful ... truly cant say enough good stuff about the place!

Worst atmosphere. Prices are outrageous. Pasta meal comes with nothing All extra. Not a big deal but 7.00 for a basic salad and soup was the same 7.00. I can go to the chop house for these prices with extremely better atmosphere.
