Bakers Treat has reopened under the non-profit Ability 2 Work! While not only providing the community with delicious baked goods and amazing meals, five-star food for three-star prices, they also offer a supportive, inclusive environment for the differently abled young adults to job sample and train. All the money you spend buying some goodies, is going to helping these kids flourish in society, they work at the facility making everything from cookies to scones, black bean cakes to chicken casalinga. Bakers Treat has a variety of food ranging from wraps, paninis, and breakfast, to breakfast pastries, bars and cakes (even some beautiful custom cakes upon ordering). They offer plenty of food for dietary restrictions, including but not limited to gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan. So for all of you that have difficulties going out to eat with your family because of dietary restrictions, fear no more! (They even have gluten-free pancakes and french toast!) Bakers Treat even offers catering. All food is fresh and made from scratch as well as all baked goods. Enjoy additive and preservative free food that will make you feel good. Since this is not fast food and all breakfast and sandwiches are made to order, when coming in depending on what you order, you will have to wait a short amount of time for your food, but it is well worth the 5-10 minutes.

I have to say how upset I am by the way I was treated today. I returned a Blackout cake that I bought on Sat. 1/16. It was very dry. I called and spoke with Marjorie. She said to bring what was not eaten back and she would give me a credit for the cost of the cake. I came in and she took it to the back and then said that the baker and CEO tasted it and it was fine. I was just not to my liking and she could not give me a credit. How could it possibly be fine if I bought it on Sat. and returned it on Wed. 1/20. We were 10 adults at the party where it was served and no one liked it. Everyone said that it was either very dry missing an ingredient or stale. We put our slices in the microwave and that really did not help either. It then melted the ganache. It just wasnt good. I was treated badly and looked down upon. It made me so angry, that I probably said things that I ordinarily would not. I am very upset by the way I was treated. At this point, I dont even want a credit. I want my money back as I would never eat anything there again. I live in New Hope and the party was in Doylestown, so I really went out of my way expecting you to live up to your reputation. When I asked who was going to pay for my gas, Marjorie just glared at me. I am so very upset!!! No one should be treated this way!!

Okay, wherever you live, I dont care if its an hour away or farther.... you HAVE to check this place out! It was by far one of the best breakfasts Ive ever had, and on top of that, this place is a non-profit. All workers are either volunteers or adults with developmental disabilities that they employ. Their sole purpose is to help those with DDDs live an adult life that is purposeful and filled with joy. All proceeds- tips included - are donations to their programs and operating expenses. I spoke with the founder of the organization; her son has autism and she felt his needs wouldnt be well served through other programming available to him as an adult in this area. 3 years ago she quit her job and sunk her life savings into this place. Now, they offer up to 500 jobs to those with DDDs. Both my heart and stomach are full leaving this place ❤❤❤

Definitely pricey, but worth it. All sales go towards charity for disabilities. Felt good going here! UPDATE: After going here a third time, we came in at 1:45 (2 is when the grill closes-- maybe 3 on some days), and the volunteer told us "the grill is closed, you cant order anything.", so we had to order from the cases in front, which were mainly filled with excellent salads, stews, and soups. I ordered the Orzo Salad, but I was given a bowl of chicken. Apparently a volunteer switched the name plates and accidentally made all of the dishes different names. As we were waiting for our meals, a group that had come in after us were able to order from the grill, and got their meals... hrm...

Definitely not want I expected. When you walk in there is really no direction what your supposed it do. Do you grab your own menu? Where do you order? The prices are super expensive 16 dollars for chicken sandwich. That does not include a side. The sandwich was pretty good. The sweet potato fries were not cooked long enough. My friend got a salad and there was 2 small pieces of chicken on it. There are no prices on the menu so please ask the price of what you are ordering or youll pay 16 dollars for a piece of chicken like I did

I had the cranberry almond salad with the raspberry vinaigrette dressing and it was awesome. I had a special request to remove the cheese and add tomatoes and it came just as requested. Service was great. Place is immaculate. Wish I was able to try the desserts.they all looked amazing. Everything is healthy, organic, some gluten free products. So many yummy choices on the menu. I will be back to try some more of these great dishes.

Ordered a sweetheart cake for my daughters cake cutting ceremony. It was beautiful, exactly what she wanted. Also the cake was DELICIOUS! Exceptionally fresh, moist, flavorful, AND the icing had no shortening or fake ingredients. Reasonably priced, and they couldnt have been any more helpful or nicer. I will definitely use them again. This is such a jewel in our community!!

Not just a bakery! The baked goods are some of the best youll find, but Bakers Treat has excellent breakfast and lunch items, too, including vegetarian fare. Ive never had a meal there I didnt like and often come for takeout. In the nice weather, I enjoy sitting outside next to the boxed garden, where they grow some of their own produce.

We came into the Bakers Treat thinking it was going to be wonderful. We ordered cheeseburgers and the fries. We requested that our burgers be well done. We received them and took a bite to find that our burger was still completely raw. They were very nice about it, and they gave us the meal for free.

Ive really enjoyed the many different items Ive purchased at Bakers Treat, but my favorite is the Raspberry and Chocolate Mousse cake...I highly recommend it!!! Of course if you ask my twin boys theyll tell you its all about the peanutbutter cookies...which I must admit are also very good. :)
