I never thought there was such a thing as an upscale pizza place, until I went to Vesta. Food: 4/5 Ive had a few different dishes and havent been disappointed with any of them. All were tasty and fresh. Theres a pretty decent selection of appetizers, entrees and pizzas to choose from. The spicy marinara sauce of their Calamari Fritti could use a little extra kick though. Service: 5/5 Every time I go to this place, Im immediately greeted by a host or hostess who is usually very enthusiastic and friendly. The bartenders, waiters, and servers are also very personable and attentive to your needs throughout the entire dining experience. Ive never had a big issue with anyone I dealt it. It also doesnt hurt that the ladies who work there are very easy on the eyes. Price: 3/5 This is the one place, I would say Vesta is not the greatest. The portion sizes are not huge, so it is very easy to rake up a nicely sized bill by the end of your visit. I wouldnt recommend this place if you are very hungry on a budget, but if you have no problem spending a little extra for quality, this place is it. Environment: 5/5 Walking into this place, you would think it was a fancy Italian restaurant instead of a pizza place. The interior decor is very contemporary and modern. It does feel upscale depending on what hour of the day you go. People in business suits and heels are a common sight. That may be a turn off for some people who are more into the home-style setting. However, this is probably the only place I could have a glass of wine with pizza and not feel ridiculous. They also have a small pub-style basement that my work office used for a Holiday party. It is very private with your own personal bartender. the food was catered for family-style eating. There is a parking lot available, but it fills up quick during evening hours. The bathrooms are very nice and kept clean. Overall, Vesta is definitely my favorite pizza place in Bergen County. However, I do feel its more of a sit-down place, than a pizzeria I can just quickly grab a slice and go on my way.

Food and service were excellent and we would definitely go back. Almost didnt give it a chance because of some of the other reviews, but my husband and I were pleasantly surprised to have a great experience. For a Saturday night, we only had to wait 15 minutes for a table and were in and out of there in around 90 minutes. Our server was very friendly and attentive the entire evening. I see what others were saying about their prices though. For what we ordered, it was reasonable for the two of us, but I do agree that some things on their menu were priced oddly high...like $27 for a flounder dish? We started with their salad special which was mixed greens with apples, pears, candied walnuts, goat cheese and a three berry vinaigrette. It was so good, we wished we had ordered two of them instead of sharing. For my entree, I had the saffron horseradish panko crusted salmon over spinach with a mustard emulsion. It was cooked perfectly and the mustard sauce nicely accented it without being too overpowering. My husband has the short ribs over polenta. It was delicious...and quite a good portion for the price. We hadnt planned on having dessert until our server told us about their nutella pizza. It was the perfect way to end this meal. Keep in mind, this restaurant did just open, so it does seem like they are still getting themselves together decor wise (some empty walls) and they did forget to bring us our breadsticks (only available upon request), but those are just minor details. Please give this place a chance for yourself. Im glad we did and we look forward to going back and trying their pizza next time.

I gave this place a shot since my company was paying for dinner and I live up the road. I found the atmosphere quite pleasant, the food selection was pretty good. I agree with Jackie, that some of the prices were just way out there, they need to dial it back because Ill never try something new with a high price like that, that has no built reputation. The eggplant rolatini was very good, and the margarita pizza was nice. One thing that I found odd about this place was that I was told that it opened its doors in January. I didnt even know it was open in April. The owner should bone up on some business classes that teach about marketing/promoting. His taste in decor is good, but its useless if nobody knows your open. Ill come back for sure. P.S. the takeout window they are building on the backhalf of the place is a great idea!

For whatever reason, I find good pizza hard to find in North Jersey. That said, Vesta sets the bar higher than most others in the area. I would not call Vesta a "traditional" style pizza but I dont think they would either. Rather, many of the menu options put a little flare on the status quo. The ambiance struggles to be both modern and traditional at the same time. For me, it came off as a bit odd. My biggest complaint would be the TVs throughout the restaurant. While its nice to see the score of [name your sport/team here], it dampens the vibe and makes the restaurant seem more of sports bar. Service, price, beer selection and valet (no cost) were all good/great. Worth a try if you are in the area.

This place may be a good destination to take your dumb girfriend, but if you have a fine palate then this place is very disappointing. I ordered the mushroom pizza but I received it burnt and with a few paltry mushrooms. There were also no basil leaves on it as was described on the menu. I also found the price of $20 for such a low quality pizza to be infuriating, regardless of how it was heated. I can assure the sleazy Italian owner of this place that I will never set foot in it again. If youre interested in truly good-quality pizza, skip this place.

Ive been going to Vesta since it first opened. While theyre pizza is very good overall, it hasnt always been consistent. Some days their margarita pie is truly inspiring, other days its simply OK. Most of their specialty pizzas are good, but Ive always been very disappointed by their mushroom pizza with truffle oil. For some reason they add the truffle oil before they cook the pie and it simply loses any truffle flavor. All in all, its worth trying.
