It is the best Dim Sum in NJ that I know of. I frequent NY Chinatown in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Flushing. The food quality/taste is on par with the best dim sum houses in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Flushing do have 1 or 2 that have more variety and a tad better on taste. However, the service and space Royal Seafood offers easily makes up for the difference there. Turns out the owner here is the former owner of Sweet & Tart chain in NYC and he recruited the Dim-Sum chief from Golden Unicorn in Manhattan. This explains the quality and service. I think this is hands down the best restaurant in NJ to sample top shelve Cantonese Cu sine and Dim-sum.

Came here in desperation for Dim Sum after Kings Chef in Woodbridge closed. Its okay if you want the "authentic" Chinatown experience where its so crowded that they have you sit with a group of strangers. Im surprise it wasnt a fire hazard to cram the number of people they had in there. Well, once was enough for me. Their Dim Sum isnt all that great anyways. We found Sunny Palace in East Brunswick which is superior in food, service, and decor and they never force strangers to sit together. Only go here if you want to sit across from strangers and watch them chew their food.

I came here with my family for dimsum on the weekend and it was fantastic! I was so sad that King Chef closed, but this places makes up for it. They roll around the food in carts as well as have waiters with platters on tray tables walking around. The space is medium sized, no where near the size of King Chef, but itll get people seated. The quality of food and vast selection is great. I highly recommend this place for dim sum!

Definitely worth the visit for dim sum. The carts make their rotation fairly often. For dinner we usually get their Peking duck and garlic fried chicken. The staff are very attentive and friendly. The dining area is one large dining hall thats well lit. The area the restaurant is situated in can misleading, so dont let the location discourage you. The tables and chairs can use some upgrading...

it was my first time coming here, we were here for dim sum, food here are pretty good. the waiter/waitress some are very friendly and some arent too friendly. a gentleman came by our table and greet us, seems to be the owner of the place, he was making sure everything was good and got us whatever that we needed, i was pretty impressed. would definitely come by again to dine here.

Authentic Chinese food, Guangdong style, not the typical American-Chinese/take-out style stir fry in brown sauce. They have tanks of live fish, crabs, and lobsters that you can choose from for entrees. We ate here for dinner, not dim sum. The portions were large and the food was fresh. The restaurant is very spacious and clean and the staff were friendly.

My first time to Royal Seafood and I must say the food was excellent. I was told to try the Seafood Casserole by a friend and what a great choice -- also the hot and sour soup was great too. When you walk in a Chinese restaurant and you see all Chinese people eating there - you know its going to be great!! I highly recommend this place!

Excellent dim sum selection and cannot beat the price! You will have to wait to be seated on the weekends, but it should not take more than 30 minutes (maybe a bit longer for larger groups). I havent been here for regular meals but I can only assume that it is also just as delicious.

This place is a joke. Lack of food in all the dim sum carts. Lack of people working there and service is horrible, Food doesnt taste good, we ordered shumai but they were spoiled! They tried to charge us for only ordering water and calculated more tax on the bill. Definitely avoid.

I have been coming here for a while now and their food has never gotten old, because there is so much to choose from. The service is good, but some of the waiters can not speak english. Other than that this restaurant is one of the best chinese food places i have ever had.

Busy place but with warm atmosphere, very good service and delicious food with a twist. an enjoyable experience as a first timer like me on this place. If youre planning to go here on weekends. My advice is to go early, because this place fills fast and stays packed.

Ive been spoiled by the precious 2 dim sum restaurants that occupied rhis location. This dim sum seafood restaurant is ok, but not as good as the previous owners. The staff is nice and friendly but be patient with language barrier and sevice during dimsum time.

Good place to eat and in good proximity from jersey city. I had my birthday dim sum here today and they did great in accommodating us... although we had to sit seperate because they didnt have a table big enough for 27 people we still had a good time.

My family and I went there a couple of times. The food is OK, but a little salty. Price inflation is very high with this restaurant. It is in a good location on the Route 1&9 South. But I will drive a little further next if I am not very hungry.

TL;DR Great dim sum. I like this place more than Crown Palace Came here for lunch dim sum. Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the attentive (albeit brusque) service. For dim sum, you cant go wrong with Royal Seafood.

Dinner review: Consistent, authentic Cantonese-style cooking. Crispy garlic chicken was well-executed with crisp skin without drying out the meat. With ample space in the dining room, its a solid option for family dinners.

Weve been going to the dim sum each weekend - great! Decided to try the week day lunch specials. Large portions, quality food, comparable to NYC Chinatown. Going back next week with friends to try the dinner menu.

My most favorite Dim-sum restaurant in NJ. The food quality and selection are no less than those in Chinatown, NYC. Its also a very formal Cantonese cuisine restaurant. Its for both Chinese & Non-Chinese customer...

Like the dim sum. Dinner is pretty good but not cheap eats. Service is no-nonsense style - not the warmest but efficient. Can get very busy during prime dim sum hours (weekend brunch hours) so plan accordingly.

Expansive menu of delicious Cantonese dishes. All served traditional family style for a very good value. I suggest going with a group of 6 or more so you can order more variety.

This place closed in May, and has reopened as DimSum Seafood Restaurant. Initially not impressed. The food seems more bland than Royal Seafood. Will try again.

I am no expert but authentic dim sum! We went with extended family we were the only non-asians. No one talks English. Food outrageous! Awesome experience!

Authentic Chinese food in Hong Kong style. Big variety of dim sum in weekend. Even the restaurant is big, still need to wait for a table in weekend lunch.
