Back 40 Grill is a disgrace to what was long ago a decent place to eat called Strafford Farms!! The Back 40 is run by adolescents who lack the training, Supervision and Managerial Competence to ensure ACCURATE preparation of simple orders for food. After repeated poor service of not getting what was ordered on multiple visits AND complaining to Back 40 staff, I finally called "Management" at the restaurant. I explained my families patronage over the years and satisfaction with the restaurant but utter disappointment over the poor service and LACK of quality customer care in the Back 40 grill and the juvenile staff that run it. I was placated with a promise of a gift card to enjoy at the restaurant (which never came!) and told that they are aware of the dismal performance of the staff, yet they do nothing about it. Shame on you OWNERS of Strafford Farms! Your "Managers" and crew need an update before your building becomes just another Starbucks....

My experience at this restaurant was very very unpleasant and I will never return. I walked in and the place was pretty much empty and had to wait to be seated. The carpets were very dirty the tables were sticky and the place is very run down. I ordered coffee which was weak and watery, I ordered eggs potatoes pancakes and bacon. The bacon was under cooked the pancakes or flavorless as well as the syrup which tasted like nothing more than mrs Butterworths. I took one bite of the eggs and spit them out the eggs were either bad or cooked in something that gave them a nasty taste. The only thing that made the time enjoyable was the waitress was nice and when I told them I was unhappy with the eggs they paid for the entire meal. But I will not return. If this place got good reviews in the past its hard to believe

This has to be one of worst restaurants in Dover. We had Saturday breakfast there in the shabby front dining room. Despite the small breakfast menu, it took almost 20 minutes to get our food. The eggs over easy were cold, overdone and tough, the sausage cold and the toast dry and cold. The "home fries" were warm but were really recycled French fries. The veggie omelet was hot but tasteless and the toast cold and tough, and included the heel of a loaf. The tea water was at best luke-warm. Not a place we would ever return to.

This is the most disgusting restaurant I have ever been to. The kitchen is dirty, the servers are rude, and I dont understand why the place hasnt been shut down yet. The health inspector must be blind! I wish I could give this place 0 stars, but I am forced to give one. If youre in the area visiting or are already here looking for a nice place to eat, STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE.

My boyfriend and I went here last night at 830. Not realizing it closed at 9 because the internet said 10. Our waitress served us with a smile and made it extremely enjoyable even though it was so close to closing. Our food we got was excellent, the service was excellent, and I used to come to this place a lot and its still 10/10. Strafford Farms is excellent.

Service was a bit slow but apologetic. However the food was absolutely terrible. I had a the irish eggs benedict: - "poached" eggs were really microwaved in plastic cups - homefries were cold - coffee was almost comically watered down - Hash was from a can, tasted like Hormels; not the homemade stuff the waitress said it would be.

My wife and I have been going to The Loft at Strafford Farms for years. We have met so many great people there. The service is excellent. It is a great place to eat and drink. The atmosphere is perfect in large part to the wonderful people that work there. The Frequent Dinner Card is a nice thank you to their customers.

They dont have many staff members on Friday nights so service is slow. Last two times I was there the food was very bland and tasteless. I got their "BBQ" pulled pork sandwich and the bun it was on was soggy and the sandwich was very dry over loaded with vegetables and almost no trace of bbq anywhere on it. Very dissatisfied. :(

Tried the Back 40 grill ( backside of Strafford Farms ) for the first time, service was okay some of the food was okay. restrooms and general upkeep were mediocre-at-best. Seafood chowder expired a few weeks ago Im pretty sure.... Roll the dice and give it a try if you want

Weve had a hit or miss feeling with this place. The food can be amazing or so-so. The wait staff on the whole is nice, but there was a lady who seemed to think she was a lot better waitress than she really was the last time we were in.

This is our favorite breakfast place. The staff are super friendly and the food is very good. I really love their Frequent Diner Program. We have saved up and used our points throughout the past 10 years or more to cater parties.

Great food. They went out of their way to make sure I wouldnt have allergic reaction & made my food without that ingredient. They care about the people who done there. Love it

Love going here. Always nice to me, and everyone around. Food is always decent and the beer cold. Very accommodating to my needs as I sometimes work on my laptop there.

Hair in my food. Watered down coffee. Eggs cooked with (what tasted like) old oil not butter. Bland previously frozen home fries. Not impressed. Not going back.

I wonder if the owners really see this place needs a face lift inside along with a new chef. Its 2016... Hello! Is anyone home up there.
