As a life long resident of southern Maine who regularly eats breakfast out and is always trying new restaurants, Palace Diner takes 1st place for excellent food quality at a low price with friendly staff. While the menu is small the basics are covered well with some creative combinations, like the “Dog Dish”, and daily specials. Unfortunately there is limited seating since this is an authentic diner car. Try this Diner first, if you are unable to get in there are several other good diners in the Biddeford Saco area. My next choices are Lucky Loggers, Golden Rooster, Skippers, and All Day Breakfast. My other preferred breakfast locations: Low Cost/Good – Excellent Food Quality: Marcy’s (Portland), Chutes (Windham) Mid Cost/Larger Menu/Excellent Food Quality: J.J.Eatery (OOB) & Stone Dog(Windham) Upscale/Large Menu/ Excellent Food Quality: Good Table (Cape Elizabeth) & Amore Breakfast (Ogunquit)

THIS IS HANDS DOWN MY FAVORITE BREAKFAST SPOT! I wish I could go here more often! It is a small space, so dont be surprised if yiu have to wait a bit to sit down, but it is well worth it! And you dont even notice the wait since you are in historic down town biddoford! The staff is better than their potatos! And if youve had their potatoes you know they are VERY good! They have a very small menu! So its easy to try everything! If you are a fan of flapjacks just make sure you get there before noon! Definitely come to this holy grail of a resteraunt if you have the time! Ps. The coffee. The BEST!

Palace Diner was an enjoyable and delicious dining experience. I was truly a bit surprised that it is an actual diner (counter seating only - maybe 16 stools); I guess I didnt do my research. We waited perhaps 30 minutes and it was well worth it. One buttery slab of French toast and their famous fried chicken sandwich. Take the leftovers. Service was very welcoming and genuine.

Small, simple menu that doesnt sound like anything special but will knock your socks off. Literally everything is exceptional, the staff is wonderful, and you cant beat the nostalgia of eating in an old train car diner. More than worth what can sometimes be a long wait -- I cant recommend this place highly enough.

So so wonderful. Almost dont want to share so I can keep to myself. Positively worth a trip and the wait for a fried chx sandwich. Or anything else they are serving. Top it off with great music and service. Can hardly wait for next trip.

The best place to have breakfast in this area. The pancakes are the best I have ever had, the deluxe sandwich is amazing and their seasonal omelette is always able to get your attention. The stuff is extra nice and friendly.

Best breakfast in ME. Everything is good, but the Deluxe (egg sammy with cheddar, pickled jalapeños, bacon and mayo) is a crowd pleaser. If they have the fried chicken sandwich, order it.
