Pulling into the parking lot, at the back not the front where it was packed, there is a sign for valet but you dont have to use velvet. They make it seem that way, its just a service so you can park back there without using the service. We arrived and placed our name for for people for dinner. What was supposed to be a 30-40 minute wait which turned into over an hour on this Friday eve. There are two sides, the actual restaurant and a bar side thats just appetizers and drinks. The side with appetizers is twice as large as restaurant area. Surrounding the two areas is a like a bar seating but over looking the view on high bar stools with tables in middle. We ended up sitting at the high stools (seat yourself) on outer edge and admired the wonderful view. Waitress came (very casual) took drink orders and appetizer order. Alcoholic beverages and a calamari. I orders a vodka on the rocks with 3 olives. Drinks came, dirty glasses and my drink no olives. Glass had stuck food I had to scrape with my nail and glassware was filmy. Calamari came and it was fantastic. Mixed with deep fried peppers. After over an hour wait we finally got escorted to our table. In the middle of restaurant but our total view was gone as we were surrounded by the high bar and stools people were sitting on. We ordered our food. My fish tacos were boring and sloppy. Dropped a lot of juice every bite and spilled on myself. Menu said $12 but check said $14. I didnt worry about it. Wife and friends ordered salad with scallops $24 wow! Not worth it. A little arugula a couple scallops and some chunks of bacon fat and a juicy egg fried on top, must be a fad. Another person opted for chicken and they said it was dry and she became a little sick in the stomach later. When you sit in restaurant at a table all the ambiance has gone and it feels like your sitting in someones back yard. Tip: sit around edge in the appetizer section and have casual drinks and calamari. Thats as far as I would go. By the looks of it, thats what that designed it for. I may or may not go back the place is just ok. Wait staff were very nice especially Julie. Bottom line: too expensive for what it was but casually drinks and apps and view great. Dont sit at tables, sit at counter around edge. You may have to ask someone to shift over. BTW: Cash Only. Apparently they have 2 ATMs on premises.

I have nothing but good to say about the place. Contrary to one of the previous reviews I was grateful for the Valet Service. Its about maximizing the limited space they have for parking. The kid even assured me a tip wasnt necessary. As for the ambiance...it goes without saying that you want to sit on the high stools at the raised bar table. The view over the water and marina is lovely. As for the food I have never been disappointed. I had a Lobster BLT on my mind before I got there the last time and even though it wasnt on the menu they whipped one up for me. I opted for their onion rings instead of the sweet potato fries. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! With the extra little kick of fresh ground pepper in the batter! I had no experience with filthy drinking glasses nor rudeness from any of the staff. To the contrary I found everyone to be very personable & efficient! Dont let these naysayers deprive you from enjoying a lovely casual Summer dining experience. Just remember...cash only!

Right out of the gate, The Deck impresses, but its difficult to rate because it lacks consistency. The atmosphere is perfect and, true to its name, sits right on the water. Its idyllic for those that love dining al fresco, and I fully enjoy the ease of valet parking. The menu is ok. The food is average which makes menu prices unjustifiable, and the wine list is terrible! I was able to taste three at the table and none had flavor, which did nothing for the food. With respect to the service, our waitress was pleasant, but we had the mussels sitting at the table throughout the entire dinner, and it kept attracting bugs. Overall, I think The Deck relies somewhat on its atmosphere and location to keep it thriving. For the price, I would like to see some more effort.

Great views of the marina and nice outdoor seating. You pay for the views with higher prices on everything. The menu looked promising but I was disappointed in the food. Nothing was bad, just okay. Burger was bland, despite the fact that it was covered in "gourmet" toppings like pork belly (which was somehow also bland). Fish tacos were served on raw flour tortillas. French fries were from a bag. Fresh seafood might be good here—havent tried it yet. Go here for views and drinks. If you want good grill food, go to Gracies at Salisbury Beach.

Its a little better than ok. The service in the restaurant was good. I got a blue cheese burger and the flavor and presentation was good. Looking out over the water was nice. Now why it was just ok. My burger was under cooked twice. I order medium well which is a thin line of pink in the center. First time it might have been medium. Under cooked for me. I sent it back and it was cooked more but still not med well. I kept out the second time. The flavor was very good. Wed go back.

Drinks tasted like they had no alcohol, food wasnt cooked to order, waitress forgot to bring me a drink and charged me anyway, valet attendants unprofessional, walked out after eating waiting For my car and got offered no assistant and had to ask for my keys, they left my car unlocked and backed up into a pole/cement base damageing my exhaust tips and rear valence, I guess thats what happens when you let teenagers park cars, not coming back here, really disappointed

Food very limited, waitsaff very unprofessional all high school and college kids just a summer job for them.Same thing with most of the bartenders a Sumer job...there taking batting practice hoping they can get good enough to score a decent job behind a bare when they go back to school. All in all complete amateurs... And it shows...do yourself a favor park in first lot and dine at the old strippers...dont be disappointed on your night by going to the deck.

Service was a little slow when we sat down. Waiting wasnt too bad as the day and the view were perfect. Was our server acknowledged us, things were top notch. We started with the Fried Calamari as as an appetizer. The were very good. For dinner, we had the shrimp tacos and the fish tacos. Both were outstanding! Great food, cold adult beverages, beautiful weather, and an outstanding view equals an excellent dining experience. We will be back!

The food was not good. The chips and fries were soggy. The pulled pork sandwich was served on a small hamburger bun. As we were deciding whether to stay for a second drink, a manager asked if he could have the table to seat another party. No thank you for the $200+ just spent. No offer of would you like anything else. It was my third visit. It will be my last.

This is a great place to enjoy the views of the Marina and decent food. We got the fried shrimp and scallops, done just right. They have a good selection of beer, the espresso Martini was a great dessert and was well mixed. Its a good place to relax while enjoying a brew with a view.
