This was my first visit even though I live a 10 mins walk away. I have to say this is now my favorite restaurantand my boyfriend said it was a great idea I had. food is amazing some of the best Chinese Ive found. The prices are reasonable and the portion size is great. The staff is wonderful. My boyfriend and I walked in about 7 pm on a saturday and were seated right away. Wait time was perfect. The photo is the left overs. I highly recommend Chens. Its a comfortable quiet place with staff the cares about your experience.

Chens has THE WORST chinese food I have ever had (and Ive had some pretty bad chinese food). First off, I ordered a pupu platter and have never got one at any other place that didnt come with crab ragoons... THE BEST PART!! Neddless to say, Chens pupu does not include crab ragoons. Secondly, everything else was disguistingly bland. Beef teriyaki was slimy and tasted suspect (maybe rancid). It was completely unedible and made me want to vomit immediately! Stay away from this place!

Horrible service. I was sitting at a table in the bar, not drinking, bartender comes over asks for my ID I gave it to her. She walks away and I said "I got carded for sitting at a table, thats a first" she comes over flips out and says "you get carded at bars! Dont cause problems in my bar shut your mouth!" And walks away. Management did nothing. Never had such rude impossible service in my life, and I didnt even ask for anything.

I am baffled by the poor reviews. We have eaten at Chens many times and I love the food. Service was always prompt and courteous. The main meals come out as you are eating the appetizer. Vegetables and egg rolls are served crisp. Ingredients are fresh and prices are truly reasonable! I would not hesitate recommending Chens to a friend and have a many occasions.

food was really bland...i wasnt impressed at all and ended up dousing everything in soy sauce. the crab rangoon was soggy...the spareribs were all fat and no flavor...and the "mothers chicken" was supposed to be spicy but it was far from it, even the fortune cookies were burned however the delivery was on time and the delivery guy was very nice.

Chens has some pretty good specials (my wife and I really like the Mothers Chicken), and the price is about average for a chinese restaurant. They have a good drink selection as well. We have been going regularly for the last 2 years and the service has almost always been great, the waitresses are usually very friendly.

Most direspectful service i have ever experienced ..ordered a specail plate because of allergies ..these mfs came and delivered me a plate with pork fried rice and. When i called back they gave me a hard time to just get the rite meal..and even hung up on my face very rude of them i lost my appetite .....

AWEFUL! everything was horrible. The Lo mein was very oily and old. The sesame chicken was hard and not fresh at all. The egg roll seemed old and scallion pancakes were also very oily and seemed old. The cook also came out and looked very dirty when I went to pay. WIll never come here again.

Food was okay. Some of my broccoli was cold. Waitress never asked if we wanted refills, we had to flag her down. Portion sizes are big. Everything I ate had a tint of fish to it. Which is gross when I ordered chicken and Broccoli. They dont bring out tea or bread unless you ask.

The food was the worst thing i have ever eaten i wouldnt go back even if the food was free, on top of that there were fist fights going on in the bar area just like a white trash bar just what you want when you want to have a nice night out just a bad experience.

I have lived in the area for many years and have enjoyed Chens food since they opened 20 years ago. I have also tried many other Chinese restaurants in NH and Mass and none compare. Chens in the best by far in all the categories of food.

I was a little disappointed when we ordered our food, we never got any silverware, duck sauce or fortune cookies which we always get. Luckily we were at a place that had silverware o wed be eating or dinner with our hands! :(
