I like to support small businesses in my neighborhood and discovered this nearby restaurant. My first two visits were pleasant, the food and prices seemed decent. On my third visit, I ordered the French toast and was presented with one slice of thin, burnt appearing FT. I got the attention of one of the wait help and showed him the problem before even taking one bite. His words were, "Oh its overcooked" and he took it back for replacement. Another waiter came back and said, for your information thats how our customers like the French toast. Then my waitress came by and said, "the reason it is so dark is because of the cinnamon they put on top gets dark." First of all, we are talking about a piece of bread, not filet mignon that was half eaten and someone tries to return. And I am not fresh off the boat and at 58 years old have eaten and cooked enough French toast, to know how it should appear. We never argued and it fact for some stupid reason, still tipped. I have worked as a waitress in the past and the first response anyone in customer service related job should be is, "What can we do to make you happy?". I will never eat there again. If you want a really great breakfast, with professional, pleasant wait help, go to T Birds restaurant. I go to the one on Blue Diamond.

The food is great and thats what allowed me to put up with the horrible service for so long, but I will never go back there. At first, it looks like a nice, homey country cafe, but no one has EVER been nice there. Im not even talking about customer service (which is non-existent) but even every day person to person manners is lacking. Whenever I have placed an order, the attitude I got was as if I had rudely interrupted them from something else theyd rather be doing than serving me - like they were doing me a favor by taking my money. The place would to well with some decent managing, but forget it for now. If you order something (which I advise against) expect to wait. They offer delivery service, but dont count on it. I dont know how they are staying in business, honestly. The connecting bar, The Bounty, is equally horrendous. Unless youre looking to get irritated and frustrated, just stay away. They dont appreciate your business. In these tight economic times, give your dollars to someone who will treat you like a person.

I love close to this restaurant and the fist time we went there it was amazing food was great and service was decent..... The second time me and my family went there the customer Service was horrible but we remembered how good the food was so we waited patiently and finally we got our food never had refills offered to us until we already done eating..... the third time we went in was today we sat ourselves like we were supposed toand patiently waited for some one to acknowledge us it took 10 mind for someone to get our drinks In the meantime 3 other familys sat down after us and were helped right away.... time passed and we still did not have our drinks or placed or order. .... meanwhile the other 3 people that cane in after us were already ordering.... It felt very uncomfortable and I found it to be very rude of our waiter whoever he was wet finally just got up and walked out me and my family wont be back again and I wont refer this place to anyone I know very disappointed.....

I LOVE THIS PLACE! Ive lost count of how many time Ive taken the family here for breakfast, lunch, dinner or just desert. The food can be described as generous portions of comfort. The pricing for meals is excellent, you never feel ripped off and they always have promotions like kids eating free on certain days. They always decorate for holidays and the mug wall is awesome. The restaurant is always clean and the staff makes you feel at home. Speaking of the staff, the restaurant is family owned and operated and loves dishing out just enough attitude to make you laugh. If there is one item on the menu that is an absolute must, Id say thats "the country nachos", the best tasting twist on nachos ever. Country Cafe has a feel of something thats been lost since I was young and it keeps me coming back.

We go here a couple times a month. Its a family-run small town type greasy spoon sort of restaurant. That being said, I like it. We like to go for breakfast. Its not gourmet food but it is a great everyday food option. Super casual and relaxed. If you want gourmet, go to the strip. If you want a good family restaurant, with reasonable quality, portions, and cost, come here. Its a locals joint for sure! The family that runs it has a wicked dry sense of sarcastic humor. So if they tell you people enjoy burned french toast with a straight face, they really are still joking. A good healthy sense of mid-western sarcasm from what I can tell. ;-) Props to the family that runs it, I think they have nailed their market and done well.

Sunday with a party of 6. Restaurant was full. Staff apologized often for the wait (20 min.). Seated us and restaurant cleared out ;). Veggie - beef soup was thick and hearty...I could tell it was homemade. I could have eaten a pot full! Chicken - fried steak, club sandwich, tuna melt, and grilled chicken breast were wonderful. I like Bleu-cheese dressing for my fries and theirs is thick and filled with chunks! Peach cobbler with ice cream for dessert made me think I was back in the South and grandma was in the kitchen. Walking distance from home when Rainbow gets paved. Looking forward to Saturday breakfast in the fall after Friday night football. Staff was wonderful. Love this place!

Came in for a late breakfast on a Sunday, waited 10 mins for a seat since it was fairly crowded, after ordering, it took almost a full hour before we got our food! My french toast and sausage patties were barely warm, my gfs order of a hamburger steak was also almost room temperature. My guess is that it was sitting for awhile before it was brought out to us. Also, the green beans did look like they were from a can. Servers were polite enough, but in conclusion, the food quality and taste wasnt very good, and the service was just way too slow. I dont think I will be returning.

Very unsatisfied with the customer service today! They made us move out of our booth to a table instead of them having to go around a table to serve, because the high chair was in their path. That was very rude and aggravating have to move everything from one table to another and keep in mind there were only 3 other couples in the restaurant. It wasnt like they were crazy busy. The whole situation was so uncalled for. My mom said the host probably had some type of OCD. I say just rude.

Great honest to goodness food. Good size portions. Steaks that does not need A1, and pork chops that are moist and hashbrowns that are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. And a variety of dessert to choose from. I recommend you try it. Jason is the Owner and I like that he is part of the service, not just standing a nd watching his employees.
