The following is a posting of my email to Buca and Bucas lame and nonresponsive reply re my recent dining experience at its Lake Mead, Summerlin, Las Vegas location. You be the judge. My email: Comments Had dinner at NV-Summerlin last week with my son. We ordered a salad for 2, spaghetti & meatballs for 2 and 2 ice teas. Food & atmosphere was XLNT. I thought the salad at $14.95 was a little pricey, but certainly no "deal breaker". When I got the bill, however, I saw that we were charged $3.99 each for our ice teas. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! $8.00 for two glasses of ice tea. Totally outrageous and way out of line! NEVER have I seen that much charged for ice tea, including 5-star restaurants. That so tainted my dining experience at Buca that I do not plan on returning again. And its a shame, too, because your food is good and your location is so close by. Incidentally, the restaurant was full and my lack of future patronage is notably of little significance--but I felt compelled to register my disappointment notwithstanding. Bucas reply: Good Afternoon, Albert Thank you for visiting the Buca di Beppo website. We appreciate you taking the time to contact us regarding the prices of the iced tea and have shared your comments with our Vice President of Culinary Operations. Our guests feedback is highly valuable to us. Thank you again for writing and we do hope to see you soon! Grazie! The Buca di Beppo Famiglia

Way over priced, small portions, decent service, fun 50s era Italian environment (think Grease). This location needs to have its booth seats redone. I literally sank into holes underneath the pleather casing where countless people had sat before. Felt like I was sitting on a toilet. Was really disappointed in the "family style" portion sizing. They have 2 sizes: small, which is supposed to be for 2 to 3 people; and large, which is supposed to be for 4 to 6 people. This is laughable. Small is enough for 1 person as an appetizer, and large might feed 2 people, but certainly wont fill them up. The pricing is ridiculously high for basic food. The entrees dont come with any sides. The pizza is inconsistent in taste and texture. I highly suspect the dishes are not fresh but frozen prepackaged, like a Chilis. The meats are suspiciously fiberous with particulate. It shouldnt be this way. I was disappointed. It may be fun for a kids celebration of some sort, but I wouldnt expect anything more than a prepackaged experience from the food to the decor from 1950s New Jersey

Over priced fast food quality child size portions. I never leave reviews online about restaurants but this place compelled me to reach out to the public consumer. I left one star on my rating that goes out to the silver fox who sereved us she was nice polight and funny I want her to know she does a great job. But the food is a major problem. I paid for two people tonight and I could have bought dinner for six people at Stieners and the quality of food would still be much better. My tab was $70.00 for two 5 oz mixed drinks that cost 20.00 one of the smallest chewiest burnt orders of calamari for $15.00 and a two person serving size portion of veal that sucked so small 3 tiny pieces of veal with no pasta on the side for $27.00. I was insulted with this meal. I hope my tab helps keep you in business just long enough to change your old fashioned cash grab ways. I will never return to this restaurant so long as I live and if your a patron who enjoys real italian food look up Capos on Sahara. Youll spend the same but youll have an amazing experience.

Called in an order and told it would be ready in 20 mins. When I got there I was told that they no longer had one of the plates I ordered. When I asked if they had something similar they said they could make it but it wasnt on the menu anymore. When I told them to just leave it out they said they hadnt started anything in my order because they had to wait til I made a decision about the other plate. They told me that it would take 10 mins. 30 mins later they have served 4 to go orders and when I asked they said it would be another 5 mins. When I told them I have been parked in your 15min to go order parking they said Im lucky they didnt call to tow me by accident and that in the future air should not park there for that long. 10 mins later I got my order. Would highly recommend going somewhere else to order food.

Got to the restaurant was told it would be a few minutes before my table is ready they needed to get silverware. 5 minutes later we where seated seem like a long time for silverware. Got to the table, no silverware. Order dinner and appetizers and mentioned that I didnt get any silverware. Dinner was served still know silverware. Ask the busboy to bring the silverware. Noting. Asked my waitress for silverware. Finally some silverware. During dinner a bus or brings a large cart of dirty dishes sets it in front of our table while we are eating. After 5 minutes cart is removed. 10 minutes later Busboy shows with silverware. Over all food was good. Never got a refill on my drinks. Funny thing is never leked Buca until the last time we went for someones birthdays. Had a great time. This time sucked.

I was invited to a company party here. This is the second year my company has an event at this location. The first time here wasnt great but I thought "maybe the second time it will be better" but it wasnt. We got the cranberry apple salad which was very good hence the 3 stars, however everything else wasnt. The bread was hard to the point where you could hear peoples molars trying to break it appart. When we recieved the pasta and the parmasean chicken breast the food was cold cold. It felt like the food had been ready since we had arrived and just been let to sit. The service wasnt that great but passable.

All in all our experience was just average. Nothing was particularly bad, just not great. The was ok. Our server was a little slow, not terribly, but just enough to notice. He might have been busy with a big party in a current area of the restaurant. The tables around us got all their drinks, complementary bread, and food before us, even though we were seated before them. If you get water, it is unfiltered tap water, which in Vegas isnt really drinkable. I wasnt a fan of the Italian cream soda that I ordered, but the server did get me a lemonade and had the cream soda taken of the bill.

The service sucked. The waitress harrassed us 3 or 4 times before we ordered "Are you ready yet?" Once we got our food she wasnt seen again for a long while. We knew she wasnt busy with customers because she had complained to us that she had only been given 3 tables. Also, the marinara sauce was too sweet. And it seemed like everyone around us had a birthday, so there was incredibly loud singing and clapping all around us. Also, the prices are ridiculous. Im never going back to Buca di Crappo.

1 stars. Good service food below par bland and overall you can probably cook equally if not a better meal in your own home without the overpriced food tag. special notes: funny enough being a 22 year old in Vegas you can pretty much find a drink anywhere however in this instance my id and request was turned away due to not having an id turned to the side. Its is an okay restaurant if its in your convenience however not worth a trip to if it is any amount out if your way.
