Have you ever had those days where everything just seems to be a crap shoot... And you just feel run down and just overall out of it??? Well... Heres the solution... Get some coffee from Desert Wind Coffee Roasters!!! :D Let me tell ya...i had to get up early to goto the doctor and i was craving some caffeine...eeeerrr... Coffee! ;) Did a search on yelp and Desert Wind Coffee Roasters came up...i was feeling very very tired.... Very very run down when i walked in... But the aroma of the coffee just slaps you in your face and wakes u up! As i walked in enjoying the aroma of the coffee beans....i was greeted right away....i asked him for a suggestion when he asked me what i wanted. He suggested the Heisenberg (sp?) And the other guy concurred. So i got that one to drink there and an iced toffee nut to go. OMG.... The heisenberg... Was amazing. The perfect balance of sweet to the natural bitterness in coffee. It was just amazing. I could have drank gallons of it and been bouncing off the walls and i would have been happy! I mean as soon as i finished it, i was already craving another one! Yes it was that good! They know good coffee!! Flavor (7/5) They even put the toffee nut latte into the reach in for me to keep cool until i was ready to go. That was my preference. They would have made it for me fresh when i was ready to go if i had wanted it that way instead. Can we say great service? Service (5/5) And honestly, after i drank the heisenberg... I had the caffeine kick that i needed and the world looked rosier and i was energized to last the entire day! And yes i drank the toffee nut latte while i was driving to work... Yup that was the cherry to top it all off.... Coffee tasted great.... Service was great.... Ill definitely be back!!!

Desert Wind Coffee Roasters sends coffee to local United States troops and soldiers fighting overseas. They post photos of the soldiers on their walls next to American flags. The Las Vegas soldiers call in orders to the coffee shop owners. The lovely couple wraps, ships and mails the coffee to the Middle East, United Arab Emirates, and into war areas - The owners take the time to send "care packages" to local soldiers serving in Iraq. I pulled out my camera and began interviewing the owners. Then I asked around the room to interested patrons. Loyal customers speak volumes about the amazing couple that seems to welcome each person into their coffee house as if welcoming them into their home. Plus their coffee house home is large, so friends mingle, read, prepare for work and students study for school. The irony for me was literary. Friends have been telling me to visit Desert Wind Coffee for months in Summerlin, but the first day I walked inside, an extremely large photograph of Leo Tolstoy, writer of War and Peace, his photograph was standing on the wall as soon as I walked in. Tolstoy is so brilliant in my eyes that I named my first born son after the author. Authors, writers, book lovers, the entire place is out of a Hemingway novel like his Paris story written in Movable Feast about Fitzgerald in French cities like Lyon.

It turns out that there IS world-class coffee in Las Vegas. This place is an absolute oasis in the very literal "coffee desert" that is Las Vegas. I was not able to find anything better than Starbucks on the strip, so imagine my relief when I stepped into a coffeehouse that could hold its own against the best of Seattle or New York City. The owner is friendly and knows his beans. They roast their own, and theyve got a really creative set of house drinks (The Walter White is superb). Its even conveniently located on the way to the magnificent Red Rock Canyon national park! All ye despairing coffee-lovers suffering in Las Vegas, this is your home away from home.

Began coming to DWCR some time back after reading all the 5 Star Reviews. I was not disappointed. The roasts are smooooth and rich and the service is friendly and fast. After only being open for six months or so, the owners Joseph and Pam needed to expand due to more and more coffee lovers discovering this gem.The extra space is wonderful while it still retains its comfortable and cozy atmosphere. Needing to expand within a realatively short period since opening, is a testament to just how good the coffee and service are at Desert Wind Coffee Roasters. You will not find a better cup of coffee or specialty drink anywhere.

Made the trip out here with my rental car based on the reviews. Saw the coffee roaster in action and got to say hi to the roaster. Counter staff was extremely friendly and seemed really happy to see someone from our of town drive out to the shop for coffee. They have a very unique breaking bad espresso shot menu you should try out. I wish they would have offered pour over coffee choices. I also think they should upgrade to a Slayer espresso maker ;-)

Amazing! The coffee is fantastic, reasonably priced, the shop is cute, but the best part is the people. My friend and I live near by and decided to go check Desert Wind out. Its our new favorite place. The owner, Pam, is such a nice person and she really created such a pleasant atmosphere. In the time we were there just about everyone else who walked in were regulars. Everyone was so nice the employees and the customers.

Great place to (comfortably) sit and enjoy a coffee. This shop is laid out well and there is not a bad place to sit. The baristas are terrific and friendly and the menu is diverse. They also roast their own beans and account for some of the cleanest tasting coffee I have experienced in Las Vegas. I only purchase my beans from this shop since purchasing my first bag. Give it a run and you wont regret it.

They sell their beans to restaurant Violettes Vegan, and thats how we learned about this place. The blend they sell to Violettes Vegan is my favorite, and it goes well with unsweetened almond milk. This is the only coffee that doesnt make me jittery. The ambiance is great, the staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and the coffee is always super fresh. Best coffee in Vegas!

Place is great to meet with friends or just do some reading. Coffee is good, more on the medium dark roast. Bought a bag of the Tanzania peaberry, its wonderful! They received only four stars because the barista could be better. Pour over was weak tasting and in my cappuccino, the milk was way too hot. This could be easily fixed with some training.

Hidden in a strip mall behind US Gas, this place has a very nice atmosphere, good seating, is quiet, and they have a good variety of coffees available. I am a tea drinker, and they were out of matcha when I was here, and the green tea was very good. This is likely to become my meeting spot as an alternative to the corporate coffee chains.

thought I was a coffee drinker, but had no idea of what I was drinking my whole life or why I liked it. The staff was SUPER friendly and helpful, pretty much educated on all things coffee related and then, crafted me a special Tea drink and got my coffee right! (how I like to drink it) enjoyed it very much, and now I know why haha.
