Holy overblown! I heard about Serranos from multiple people, and after eating true authentic Mexican food while living in the southwest, I expected better from here. Aside from the flat, luke-warm service from the point of walking in, Ill start by saying that the burrito is a bellweather of any Mexican food joint. If they dont do it well with the burrito, dont trust the rest of their menu. The first warning sign was that the menu--described "sauce" turned out to be nothing more than a smothering of burnt nacho cheese sauce--an obvious sign of non-authenticity and poor preparation. The only saving grace here was the meat; it was well prepared, Ill give them that. My partners meal, the pollo picante, was very bland and easily something I could have prepared at home. In all, my biggest regret in eating here is not bringing my own red and green sauces to give these poor dishes the flavor they deserved... Next time Im in East Glacier, I look forward to a nice burger at the diner down the street.

This place was the absolute worst. We waited an hour to get in and then another hour plus to get our food. I paid $13.00 for 6oz. of chicken for my son that he said tasted like a fire cracker. My chicken mole was cold, not flavorful and the black beens tasted like were dumped from a can with nothing else done to them. When I complains I was told everybody waits an hour and that the menu states that 6oz of chick is what comes with that plate. So I paid $28.00 for not just the worst Mexican food Ive ha in my life but one of the worst meals Ive had in my life. I would have rather eaten some of the unused freez dried food that didnt get eaten on my backpacking track. Its a good thing they are the only Mexican place in town or they would be out of business.

Definitely not authentic Mexican, at least not like most restaurants weve been to. All the good reviews had us excited, but... Chips - ok Salsa - not salsa, but "pico" instead (but not really good pico) Queso sauce - not blanco, more like nacho cheese with green chiles in it. Portions - huge Burritos - good meat, tons of pinto beans, whole thing smothered in their queso sauce :-( Service - good

Great service, food ok but not worth the price, prices are INSANE. $98 for 2 margarita pitchers. The menu said $26 per pitcher, but when u order the nice waitress convinced us to do the special tequila, unbeknown to us its a $23 upgrade per pitcher. Wish we knew, when we inquired, the managers was rude and didnt care. Drinks and food way over priced

The staff and service was second to none. They took care of my family when we arrived late. They did not turn us away but rather quickly sat us down, offered us their full menu when I told them I would gladly let them limit us. They were so hospitable and the food was amazing! What a treat after a long rough day. Would recommend to anyone!

We are from San Diego where there is excellent Mexican food on every street. So I was a bit skeptical about a highly rated Mexican restaurant near a national park in Montana. We tried tacos, burritos, steak, enchiladas, bean dip, chips, salsa, and dessert. Everything was legit! Better than legit -excellent by any standard. Highly recommended.

After reading other reviews I had high hopes for this place. However, as a native Southern Californian who is accustomed to good authentic Mexican food this restaurant is not worth more than a 30 minute wait tops. My family waited for 1 hour and 15 minutes for a table. The service was not very good and the food was just okay.

Was told the wait was an hour and got in within 30 minutes. Win. Service was good and waitresses were definitely working hard, but food took forever and was pretty bland once received. They filled our water constantly which was much needed after hiking. Super hot temperature inside. Not great/ok overall.

Was in town for the seasonal closing of a local lodge and just stopped in to try the place. Love the place so much we had dinner there twice in a week. I had the chicken tacos one night and chicken Enchilada the second. Can be crowded so get their early if possible.

Arrived right at dinner time, after a long day of biking from East Glacier to Two Medicine Lake then back. Got lucky and was able to be seated quickly. Ordered the Veggie Delight plate, lot of food, well presented and tasted great. Good way to finish a long day.

The food was great! Service was nice! I had enchiladas and they were excellent. I also had the Huckleberry pie for dessert and it was also delicious. For starters I had the chips, and I recommend the jalapeno and cheese refried bean dip to go with it.

We had the Plato Jose - a chile relleno, chicken enchilada, and slice of steak. All were delicious. The service was wonderful. I wish I had room for dessert as the home made key lime pie sounded very tasty.

Becky is the best. Made me a margarita a year ago when I stopped by that I still remember. Great food and great experience. Full of friendly people because no one is there that doesnt want to be.

The food was good and the servings were large. However there can be a long wait for a table. (About 45 minutes the night we were there for two, much longer for bigger groups )

I do not like that I myself had to wait for over half an hour to be seated and 45 minutes to get my food. My appetizer came with my entree. the food was mediocre.

THE SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT AND FOOD WAS TOTALLY AWESOME. WHEN I ASKED FOR MORE HOT SAUCE THEY SAID WHICH WOULD I LIKE. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO EVERYONE.

The carne asada is outstanding. Also recommend the Tampico. Even the beans were devoured! Friendly service and cheap drinks. All around a great little place.

You wait your whole life for that one woman, and then you wait your whole life for Serranos. Then your life is complete.

Crowded, over priced, and the cheese they top burritos is similar to fake gas station cheese. Very over rated .
