I disagree with the comments on being to expensive. Comon this is the most unique and authentic Indian food to get in the whole state of Montana! The pricing is great, for this kind of deliciousness! I dont agree with the pricing of the Bamboo Asian Chinese Food place. I went there twice each time I found Nats, and a dead fly in my food!!! I honestly believe Mirch Masala should switch the Chinese place for better comfort and more options in authentic Indian food! I love this place!!! I try and eat there every weekend when I can! And Im not even vegetarian. But really the Chinese place has to go and Mitch Masala should take over. I talked with so many of my friends about this awesome Indian place! I highly recommend it to everyone I speak with! But the lack of options still is something g to worm on but the fact that lunch will be provided soon beats it for me!

Mirch Masala is gem among Bozeman restaurants. When you walk through the door the aroma of fragrant Indian cuisine is an indication of the wonderful foods that you are about to experience. It is all vegetarian items but there is no need to miss the meat when all of the food is so rich with aromatic flavors. Be sure to get there on the early side. Since this is family-run, authentic home cooked Indian food in a buffet setting, some items can run out. Its not going to be the cheapest dinner in Bozeman, (about $20 per), but if you are a fan of Indian, it is going to be one of the best! I have not yet been disappointed! Reservations are recommended as it is a small restaurant.

This place serves buffet and we called up to know , if take out is allowed. The owner said yes and said we will be charged by the container. We paid for 4 buffets and were allowed to take 4 items in 4 foam containers of medium size. The lady offered to get us chapati/Indian bread from the kitchen. When we ate, we realised it was stale and sour. We regretted stoping over at her restaurant. And we paid $11.44 for each of these bowls. It is not only over priced (which would be ok) if we were not served stale bread ( and Indian bread goes sour when the dough is going stale). This type of food could cause food poisoning if we are unlucky

If you are looking for a unique restaurant setting with a delicious and yet exotically homemade feel, this is the restaurant for you. I went last Friday with my father, brother and girlfriend and was delightfully surprised by the delicious Indian cuisine. If the vegetarian label is off-putting to you, dont let it be! My family are regular, meat-eating Montanans who who can put down a lot of food. The buffet style with selections of many Indian dishes with varying kinds of texture, seasoning and flavor left us both stimulated and satisfied by the meal! Also, its all at a very reasonable price for the quality and quantity of the food.

First off, the vegetarian thing doesnt throw me off at all. In fact, if there is one cuisine that can do it really well, its Indian. This place just really missed the mark when my ladyfriend and I went for dinner. I think we paid ~$40 for two buffets, some strange, unleavened bread that definitely was not naan, and some decent tea. The buffet was lacking in options and, most importantly, the food was room temperature. The layout of the restaurant is really strange too, they sat us in a corner with both of us facing the wall. This is not the Indian buffet we were all hoping for, unfortunately.

Surprised to hear such unenthusiastic reviews by others, to say the least. Mirch Masala is fantastic. Great food of actual Indian quality, reasonably priced for the states (you want cheap Indian food? Go to India. Its going to cost a typical amount in the states.). Primarily though, is the family running Mirch Masala. They are kind and sincere and definitely put hard work into their restaurant. Ive lived in Bozeman my entire life and Mirch is for sure my favorite restaurant.

Fantastic food, atmosphere, and price! Was a wonderful experience all around. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive, the restaurant was clean, open, and charming. Loved having the buffet style to try out various entrees. Wouldnt mind seeing them put in a bigger outside patio area with some umbrellas. Will be making this a restaurant that I routinely visit. Nothing bad to say and am thrilled to have an authentic Indian restaurant in Bozeman, MT!

Probably one of my favorite dining experiences ever! So simple, so delicious, friendly/home-like atmosphere, & the owners are great. Its clear that they understand what young Americans value in a restaurant, but they havent sacrificed the authenticity/quality of the food to get there. In a way Im glad I live so far away from Montana, because Id be blowing all my money at this place if I lived in Bozeman.

Wonderful experience. I have food limitations (no gluten or dairy) and they were extremely understanding and accommodating. They made me a substitute for naan with rice flour. The food was delicious and authentic, the service personal and the price was way below what we were expecting. I will definitely go back. I recommend this restaurant and hope it gets the support it needs to remain in Bozeman.

Was very dissapointed when we went there today for lunch. For a 2 & 3 year old they wanted to charge full adult price for the buffet. Our kids usually eat a tiny bowl of rice and a small amount of fruit. What a rip off. 18$ for two small kids eating less than 1$ worth of food?! Also, their lentils are super watery. Very dissapointing. The service was also not friendly. Wont be going back.

Dont let its all vegetarian buffet turn you away. The place has fantastic food that will certainly fill you up. Tucked away in an unassuming house, its served buffet style with very friendly hosts. It will feel a bit small, but the owners make good use of the space and dont cram tables close together. I would definitely recommend this place if you wanted good authentic indian food.

Food was good but expensive!! Buffet (only option) is $15! Only one meat dish (chicken), otherwise rice, lentils, beans, spices etc should NOT be that pricey :/ Also a small fountain drink is $2.00 so you know theres price gauging. I was disappointed since Id heard great things. Wont be back, its out of my price range...

Kinda disappointed its only vegetarian and didnt see any naan bread, missing out on some of my favorites like chicken tikka masala and Murgh musallam, but otherwise the food was good. Pretty cramped space which can make it difficult to get back and fourth from the seating area to where the food is located.

Probably the best meal I have had in Montana (I have lived in the state for 8 years). So flavorful and authentic without being too spicy. If I lived in Bozeman, I would come to this restaurant a few times a week. Simply delicious!

DELICIOUS!!! My only complaint was that it was buffet style lunch, so naturally I got way too full! Lol we literally got a bit of everything. Sat outside. Order a chai tea. Not from the are but would definitely return otherwise.
