My family and I took my mother to Landmark Buffett on Sunday January 24, 2016. It was 38 of us and we were celebrating her 89th birthday. My brothers and I got there at 10:38AM and the rest of our family arrived at 11:00AM. It was not crowded and there was not a line. upon paying for our meals we were told by the assistant manager Brittany Orff that we could not sit together because we did not make a reservation. My daughter explain to her that we could see areas that were empty and we would like to sit together and we would make sure we take care of the waiter or waitresses. She said no If you want to sit together you need to get out of line and wait for an hour. I went to the front of the line and asked what the problem was and the assistant manager Brittany started talking loud, rolling her neck and put her hands on her hips. I asked her why the confusion, I have not raised my voice at her one time, Im only asking her a question. I asked why we cant sit together and she said you dont have a reservation and thats our policy. We will sit you in groups of 10. My mother said thats fine lets eat. twenty-seven minutes later we are still in line after we paid for our meals. My niece says excuse me Brittany but we have been in line over 27 minutes and we still are waiting on a seat, Brittany snaps back and says you dont have a reservation and if you all want to sit together you can wait for a hour and a half and Im only seating groups of five. She proceeds to tell the waiters and waitress to sit other customers that are behind us. She walks to the back and my nephew happen to walk behind her with his son coming from the bathroom and he hears the waiters telling the assistant manager that they just clean up the room in the back and it will accommodate the large group of front. They went on to tell her they will pull together to get us seated and waited on and she tells them NO, Im not giving it to them!!! If it wasnt for the fact that our mom was in a wheel chair, 89 years old and a diabetic we would have left. This was uncalled for. Whatever happen to customer service and professionalism one third of the group ended up in a private room and our waitress was wonderful, pleasant and caring. The chef came out to meet my mom it really put a smile on her face and we told her how we appreciated it and my other family said the waiters and waitress were extremely nice!!!! They need to take Ms. Assistant Manager Brittany Orff and let her buss some suds and get a attitude adjustment.

Im really surprised to read bout the bad experiences at this buffet. I just read this because Ive just had an experience myself but didnt really consider it a bad one. I went to Ameristar this past week and the cashier must have been in training as he charged me twice for my meals and said he refunded the incorrect amount but it still has not come off my debit card after 4 days. When I saw that he charged me twice I asked him if he refunded and was told yes, but I never saw him do it so Im not sure he did. But this does not upset me. I have gone here so many times since they opened and have never had a bad experience, so these reports really leave me floored. Never would have guessed it. Some people just should not be working with the public. I have no complaints about them, just an observation. Occasionally the food is not as tasty as usual and I know that can happen anywhere.

This stacks up with most casino buffets. There are plenty of choices and plenty of people there to keep the food flowing. The menu does not change very much week to week or month to month, Some folks would appreciate the consistency. Early is better than late ( they do run out of main course items but do not have other substitutes. The wait staff is very efficient, they clear course after course, while keeping your beverage glass full ( great lemonade ) If there is one complaint it has to be the check in process. Even with a short line it takes a while to pay for your meal and be seated. Also this is a very good place to take a large crowd from work to lunch. They can handle big groups and get the back to the office in a short time .

My hubby was really in the mood for a buffet last week and decided to take me here. I believe we went on a Wednesday, which is apparently BOGO free for seniors - so it was mobbed! But once we finally got a table, things were good! I felt like there were PLENTY of options - this place is pretty huge. But I felt that the quality was just fine. Definitely clean. But nothing that felt gourmet or special. I mostly enjoyed the basics - chicken, sweet potatoes and broccoli. My husband ventured into desserts, but he said they werent great. I doubt wed go back again considering its a pretty far drive for us and it wasnt life-changing. But its a fine place to eat if youre in the area and want a buffet.

Twice in the last month weve gone there, once for dinner & today for brunch. Worst buffet ever! The foods fine, but their staff and managers dont have a clue about how to run a restaurant! When I had a problem today, the first manager said" yeah, sorry, that happens sometimes, but have a good rest of your day" second manager, Brittany looked right in my face and lied when I told her the problem. When I ask to see the main manager, I was told she was unavailable & they couldnt give me her business card or name because thats illegal. I did leave my name & number with Brittany & she said I would be contacted within 3 days. We shall see. I cant believe this is how they think you run a business!

All in all, I have to say the food served at Landmark Buffet is above par. There are times when something may go wrong, but you as the customer should alert the staff.. For the person who got over charged: Did you check you receipt directly after you paid..... you should have...... Sour chocolate milk, double check with your server.....Did you? Ameristars Landmark Buffet : Is the place I dine, where the food is fine........ Rob had problems too, but he grew into his post.. You have to give these new folks a chance to make their mark of success or failure...... Now about some other patrons............................................................

You would think spending $20 a person would include great customer service ...This was my second time at this restaurant and when I say I wont be coming back.. My friend and I tried eating here, she Just left a family reunion, so I told them its just 1 person eating.. Some red-haired lady who appeared to be a manager, approached us while I was eating to make sure the food was just for me? I was like really.. I know I had 2 plates so what.. I felt very discriminated against & would not be spending a dime at this place again! Thats just my opinion.
