I was so thrilled to hear of a local business with barbecue, but have to say I was really disappointed with my food. I looked up the menu online and decided on a brisket sandwich with Mac n cheese ($9). They told me my total was $11.88. I double checked the website and made sure my sandwich and side were $9. Some of the other sides showed an extra fee, which really wouldnt make them a side, but the mac n cheese had no extra fee. I arrived and asked about the cost and was told the mac n cheese is $2. I explained that the website menu says otherwise and that is why I selected the mac n cheese. Alison said "we have a menu online"? I told her yes and she stated she had no idea, and she would have someone fix it..... No apology, no effort to make good on that price, no anything. I let it go because again, Im super excited to try a new local business out. I get to work and dive in. The mac n cheese has a great flavor, but was cooked too long. So long that the bottom of the aluminum pan its in, is covered in burnt Mac n cheese. I take a small taste of the BBQ sauce and notice it sure taste like it consists of a LOT of ketchup.. put it on the sandwich, and take a bite.. YUCK. I have a mouthful of pure fat. So I dismember the sandwich to discover the lowest quality of brisket one can possibly get. Its about 1/3 edible brisket to 2/3 pure fat. That is absolutely disgusting. I now feel very sick to my stomach. Note to owner : Come on man, people are excited youre here. People are not excited to have pure fat sandwiches, eat BBQ sauce that is primarily made of ketchup, or be charged for the sides you claim their meals come with. Im so disappointed. I really wanted to like this place.

So I figured Id give this place another run. Really would like a local spot for good bbq. The beer was cold. The owner was there this time and he seemed for nice and proud of his establishment. Got the pulled pork this time and it was good. Didnt care for the house sauce. A few more options to possibly suit different people would be an option. However had the same waitress behind the bar as before. The woman should not be in the hospitality industry. She was short, rude, and utterly horrible. I asked about other sauce option she slams a tobasco sauce down in front of me. States here u go and walks away its a bbq joint. As were preparing to leave she asks if checks are combined or separate and since her question wasnt answered promptly enough snaps those are ur options. I stated I could do without the attitude so she screams have a nice day in the rudest way possible. Way to bring it to all the patrons inside. A third trip will not be possible. I hope the best for the new business owner in our small town. But with staff like her and the guys screaming outside previously. I dont see alot of growth. You can only have so manu great reviews from friends and family before the reality of it comes out. Best of luck Jerry you seemed like a nice guy buy some of ur staff could use some help.

Well was hoping for a local bbq hit. We are still looking for our go to Pacific hot spot. The impression I was given was border line gonna spit in my food. Based on reviews got the mac n cheese. Possibly could have been better fresh cheese is time sensitive. Although cheese dish was questionable but plentiful portion. As a second side ordered the beans suprisingly compared to the bar set was pretty good. Went with brisket and got 75% fat not a good cut of meat and absolutely not a good brisket. Was a treasure hunt for a bite through mounds of fatty meat. Cutting corners in bbq is competing in a race barefooted meat is important. Staff reminded me of a basement with teenagers hanging out. Amanda was the server she seemed complacent at best. One young man on staff enjoyed a snack afterwards flicked food into dining area at another staff member than vacated to front sidewalk to smoke a cigarette and yell at other locals down the street. All in all I think this place will end up a bar for locals to consume copious amounts of alcohol. As for a resteraunt they are leaps and bounds from tastey and comforting.

It is a shame I went there for lunch at saturday at 1pm.I waled in and the place had a very musty smell to it. Like a damp basement. i went in anyway. I ordered a grill burger. The only thing good was the meat..it came with cheese even though i didnt order any, or was asked if i wanted any. when I got my food it came in one of those plastic baskets with a paper lining it. wooo what quality does that show. It came with no condiments like lettuce, tomato , pickles or onoin..Nothing. so i asked for some dill pickles which is use by most establishments. bbut they had none..They did give me some bread and butter spicy pickles, Even the Ketchup had a strange taste..They did bring me some onion upon request. It was a strange feeling like they didnt care i was there or not,,service was barely there...i hope they can fix what is wrong,,The place has allot of potential. Time will tell.

Very cordially welcomed by Jerry. Shared a full rack of ribs and Cole slaw and potato salad. Sauce is served on the side. Nice flavored sauce. Good Cole slaw without an overpowering dressing. Nice red potato potato salad. Ribs were a little dry but had a good smokey flavor. Portions were good. Service was good and fast although at 3:45 on a Saturday afternoon they were not yet busy. Jerry also joked with us as we were leaving, thanking us and inviting us back. Overall a pleasant experience.

My first visit to this place did not disappoint! In fact, it was perfect from start to finish! We walked in just a few minutes before the kitchen was closing and Jerry welcomed us in and the waitress took our order right away. The service was excellent and the food was absolutely delicious! Get the cornbread casserole! OMG! So good! The ribs were really good. I sure do hope this place stays busy enough to stay open. Its seriously as good as the big bbq joints in St Louis.

Ordered a pound of pulled pork and a pound of brisket with a side of Mac and cheese. I actually got a point of each, no skimping. Mac and cheese was great. Tastes were awesome, BBQ was warm and delicious. Friendly staff very fast service. Recommend this hidden gem, reminds me of a town time forgot. I will be back whenever I go by this please. Just off 44 easy to get to.

I dropped by Brown Jerrys to try it out. As a professional cook I like to try out all the foods than I am the most picky about. I had the brisket sandwich cola slaw and potatoe salad. I have to say Jerry has the touch. Even the in house bbq sauce was excellent! The staff were all friendly and made me feel at home. Ill be back!

Amazing food. Since we ate here weve been telling everyone they should go too. Corn bread souffle, mac and cheese, brisket with warm spicy barbeque sauce. The only disappointment was I didnt have room in my stomach for more.
