My daughter and myself love chinese food so we were very excited to try this place as it was so close to home. Although reasonably priced, there were enough downfalls that we wont be returning. The "clean" table we were seated at was sticky and was also right next to the apparent break area for the employees so I was watching them pick at their own food and wiping their mouths and then coming to grab our cups and plates in between bites. I dont begrudge them from taking breaks and eating themselves, but to have them touching their food and mouths and then coming to handle our plates and silverware and refills was a bit much. Next, though there was a decent variety, most of the food that was out was lukewarm at best, so some things like crab rangoon and egg rolls were hard or chewy but not crispness to them at all. Also, they shrimp that was in several dishes hadnt been had even an attempt at being deveined which was pretty unappealing. And it didnt appear that anyone had been by to clean up the ledges around the buffet because there was food strewn everywhere. i hope this was just an off day, and not how they always handle business but I wont be back to find out.

Me and my family went for lunch, every single dish on the buffet appeared to have been sitting for a long,long time.All the dishes the vegetables in them were so freezer burnt I had to spit them out,even their cream puffs for desert were the same horrible freezer burnt very very badly.Also every time any one of us stood up to try to find something decent enough to eat the waiter followed us around and kept asking us to pay...we hadnt been in there 15 Min.!!!So I wasted $40 and my family left just as hungry as we were when we arrived,To top it off when I Informed the manager of the freezer burnt buffet he acted like he didnt care and wouldnt refund my money even though we ate next to nothing.

Hi my name Nicole.....The food is lovely here,but their waitress are fking RUDE, THEY ACT LIKE WE SUPPOSED TO LEAVE them TIPS EVERYTIME A REGULAR COME IN. When a person dont have the tips they want. The girl in the orange shirt will not serve you your beverage with a decent attitude then spill water all over the table and not apologize nor pick up her mess. And when me and my bf went yesterday she toss me water instead of asking what kind of drink I want it and walk away. So she need to be fired or just be a greeter,she shouldnt be around with a attitude like that and their food. So I rather you guys just get a take out and go.dont stay there.

Not as big of a selection of actual Chinese food as Im used to because of all the American food -- which is actually a good thing for us, since we have a kid who doesnt care for Chinese food -- but everything I tried was good. They also have a decent sized selection for Mongolian barbeque, and an impressive selection of fruit. I didnt try the sushi or the dessert. The food and eating areas were both clean, the staff was friendly, and our waitress was really on top of things. Prices are pretty typical for a Chinese restaurant: our bill came to about $40 (not including the tip) for 2 adults & 2 kids under 12.

I live close and eat here often. I am enough of a regular that they have my drink order down before I get to the table. That being said, I strongly suggest that you not go to late at night. Sometimes the food is a little old, and tonight for example it was a little over an hour before closing and the food was pretty old and dry. The soup was down low enough you couldnt even get the laddel into it to scoop any out. They really didnt care when I pointed out some of the old food. This is a good spot for Lunch and early evening when things are fresh.

To start with I was seated at a dirty table no one noticed I had to tell someone. when I ask what I wanted to drink I had to do that three times in order to get the right drink. some of the food on the buffet was cold some was very hot and fresh. Never got my ticket so I could pay at the table so I paid at the front register overall Ive been going there for four years and this is just getting worse slowly but surely.

Ive eaten here several times and it was OK. However, today, I found mold on the bottom side of a piece of cake I had taken from the desert bar. All I got was, "Sorry." There was no offer to comp the meal or a free meal to encourage my return. Not eve "Is there anything we can do to make this right?" Horrible, short-sighted management. They will get no more of my dining dollars.

Weve eaten here twice. Once on a weekend and once on a week day. Their buffet is THE BEST. They have a huge variety, and some very good stuff on it. Stuff that I would is never thought a Chinese place would have. Especially at this price its a great deal. Theyve spoiled me! Lol. I dont think I will ever eat out at any other Chinese buffet again!

This is the best Chinese buffet in Kansas City metro area hands down beats all the rest the staff is wonderful managements great food is hot on time and love the salmon most places dont have that great staff wonderful food it reminds me of Chinatown in New York and also San Francisco the best Chinese buffet restaurant in Kansas City hands down

This is one of my favorite KCMO buffets. The food is good, the place is clean, the people are friendly, & its close to the Chiefs/Royals stadiums. I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 because they dont devein shrimp before they cook it, (& its hard to do after its cooked), so I dont eat and cant recommend the shrimp. Otherwise, theyre perfect.

Not good at all! Save your money and dont waste your time. I was sorely disappointed. Food was not fresh looked as if it had been sitting out for a while. I ended up eating only the crabrangoon fried rice and sweet and sour chicken. The meat for the mongolian style grill was not on ice. I will not be going back.

Great food, but a few things, like the mozzarella sticks were a little undercooked. Its nothing I couldnt look over because the freaking General Tsos Chicken (my fav) was amazeballs! Good variety too, with lots of sweets and a chocolate fountain. Plus, me and another person ate for like 16 bucks.

I never in my life met a racist Chinese person in my life that is until today. Got me stepping out of character in the restaurant yelling for a fork and a refill all because she wants ignore all the black people in the restaurant. I will not come back and she put a booger in my moms drink

Food is sub par , sometimes old. Buffet is very lacking on variety. Got harassed by the staff for parking my motorcycle in a handicapped spot even though i have have appropriate handicap license. Overall , not worth your effort. Go to Mama China just 5 minutes east of there.
