The Golden Corral at Zona-Rosa sure has went down hill since the owner ( Ben Shively) has passed away.The management is waiting tables ( Maria makes 50000.00 yearly) and raking in the tips that the servers should be getting. Im sure Ben would not approve of the way management has changed so much. What a shame ! The management is NOT what it use to be.Maria has no management education, except what she has learned there, and lacks professionalism and deportment in her role trying to be one.Even monkeys can be trained to peel a banana, perhaps she should go get some. Ben was a wonderful man, and an excellent manager. He would not yell across the restaurant to an employee,with customers there.I worked with him when the restaurant opened, so I know the difference now. A good restaurant that is missing a great manager. What a shame !

Today, June 17 07:30-8:30 pm; I was treated to diner by a friend. The servers were delightful, they were from some charity. After eating I had no money for a tip and felt bad about leaving without tipping the server. I truly felt he deserved it. However! He ran after us because w left something behind. He reminded me that he had done a great service and LOUDLY reminded me that I was not going to leave a tip behind despite his excellent service. Obviously he meant to embarrass me in front of everyone at the parking lot. It will be a very long time until I return to Golden Coral, and I will NEVER go if a charity is serving. I hope my apologies are passed to that man, I felt bad for allowing a friend to treat me to a Fathers Day meal.

This Golden Corrals food is quite poor in quality. This last time, we went in right at 1130 and weve been there during the dinner rush. Everything is oversalted, or lacking in flavor, or dried out. The steak folks give you what you get, dont bother asking for your preference. "Medium" could be bloody, or cooked to a pork rind, you never know. The biscuits are tough and leathery on the outside. All their staple items you crave, are not made right at this location. The dining room is kept decently clean and we havent had any service issues. The kitchen just doesnt prepare their food well. Ive been to different GCs here and there and worked at one in Springfield long ago. This one is better skipped.

This place has a good selection of food, though it is the quality of food you would expect from a buffet. There are three things that drive me nuts every time I eat here. 1. The sign doesnt tell you that drinks cost extra. That is not an unusual policy but it should be front and center on the sign. 2. The drinks are in line before the trays. This means you have to fill all of your drinks for all of your kids and hold them until you get to the trays. 3. The plates and utensils are not always clean. You have to look carefully when you get them or else risk getting back to your table before discovering they are dirty.

Dessert area was an absolute mess! Everything was either empty or sloppy. The strawberries where tiny & dry with dark spots. Cupcakes tipped over & smashed. Salad bar was not looking fresh. I wanted a Ceasar salad but the lettuce was wet, mushy & alot of brown slimey leafs (gross). The baked fish seemed mushy & undercooked. Meatloaf was very dry. I think the best think out of my visit was the rolls. I left not full because I was afraid try anything else & just wanted to leave. Unsatisfying & not appealing. Seems like the health department needs to make a visit there & clean it up.

Will never come back to this buffet. 95% of the crowded buffet was 9 and under children licking their fingers, and picking up food from the bar. There was a little girl eating FROM the ice cream machine with her mouth on the spout. When we told an employee they took a dirty rag, and cleaned around the machine, but never the place her mouth was. Told another employee, and they did the same thing. Desert bar was a complete mess, and cheesecake was hot! Absolutely unsatisfied with the way this was ran. 13.99 is a horrible price to pay for awful service/sanitary issues.

This place is great!! Food is always available and fresh. It is sad that Ben is no longer around, but management has done an exceptional job in keeping this place running and growing. Mary Marin, it appears you have a personal problem with management and not this location. It sounds like you are jealous of the manager you described. Is it that you or an employed relative are butt hurt about actually having to work and perform to the great standards of this location? Great place to eat, Keep up the good work staff.

Food always great. Variety and family atmosphere. Were slow to refill the food. Dishes were not well cleaned when you went to get some. Serving utensils were not changed. I was there 3 hrs and at the beginning a customer in the bathroom did not wash his hands. I noticed he touched everything and served himself, and because of this I notice none of the serving utensils were changed out at any point in time. Do you guys not care about germs and contamination in the general public...because we all have to touch it??

The Argentinian Cheff or the Kitchen boss is rude, he definitely lacks the skills to communicate with customers. The servers are usually nice but sometimes they disappear and you have to leave the place dursty. The floor sometimes is dirty and full of food, and tables and chairs arent cleaned properly. The food in general is good, the deserts could be improved a bit, and the carrot cake should be served more often since when its finished, it takes forever to place new one in the deserts area.

we have visited here several times and have enjoyed it every time. the food is great, service is wonderful, and price is awesome. yes, the chocolate fountain could use more variety for dipping but it is still a nice end to a meal. the many different ethnic foods is really nice. and you can have a grilled seafood or steak right there. this particular location by far has been more pleasing than others we visited. price. food. atmosphere. great

Ribs were bloody and the manager did not care. Tried to tell me how hard they worked and never apologized for the bloody ribs. Also the people behind the grill never looked up to help you. We had a line of 8 people wanting to get waited on and it just never happened. I told the Manager and again he never cared. He just went and set down and a table and did nothing to help. IF I could do zero stars I would, maybe minus 5 stars

This used to be one of my favorite places to go but recently it has become rundown and the food is less than desirable. Im not sure whats going on with this place but it has turned into the ghetto so to speak. The last two times Ive gone in there with my son, there has been literally almost a fistfight one of the times and the other a couple was arguing for over 20 minutes until we finally left!!!! BEWARE

Went for breakfast. 2 of us, $17 for seniors. Food was cold and Scrambled eggs was watery. I noticed there were two construction workers and us. I see why it was empty of customers. Everything was salty as well. Bakery cook was singing terribly to music too, very annoying . Will not be back ever.
