Fried pickles came out really fast, had a couple of pieces of calamari in it. Luckily no one are our table is allergic. Salad course came out quickly...then the wheels fell off. Cook came out to educate us on the difference between well and medium well, then took at least :20+ to bring out the entrees. (Patti melt, a hamburger and a small steak) We were 1 of two occupied tables on a Saturday afternoon. Place was fully staffed, at least 4 servers and another 3-4 people in the kitchen +management. Patty melt was a hockey puck patty of beef, on over sized marble rye. I struggled to find the "melt". Fries where cold. The Burger was big. Steak was well cooked, but an unidentifiable cut of beef. Steamed broccoli was nearly raw. Server left empty drink glasses on table throughout the entire meal. To our servers credit he did alert kitchen to the under cooked broccoli and the manager did come and offer a recooked/new side, but given length of time we had already spent waiting it wasnt worth it. It is a shame food quality was so poor, staff were obviously vested, we watched several servers working feverishly to clean the dining area. No amount of courtesy or cleanliness can make up for cold, under cooked food.

Our first time at the Local House. We arrived around 8:30 on a Saturday night, so just a hour or so past peak time. (best time to go out after 7pm) We were seated immediately. Within a very view minutes, were greeted by Julie and received our menus and were served our drinks 2 minutes later, if that. She told us about the special, the price and gave us time to looked over the menu. Speaking of the menu, offers a good number of options, from appetizers, soups, probably a dozen types of hamburgers, pastas and full blown steak dinners. VERY reasonable prices. We had our food within a reasonable amount of time. The sandwich that I ordered was hot and fries were freshly warm as well. My wifes salad was cold and she loved it. We will be back for sure. I would have given this place 5 stars but I ordered my steak medium and came out medium rare with just a touch of blood. BUT it tasted great and I still enjoyed. Things were going well and it was not too under cooked to try it first. So note to self. In the future order steaks a little more on the medium well side next time. Over all rating A-.

Wish I could give them less than one star...they dont even deserve it. Couldnt tell you what the food is like, because we never got seated, because the servers were literally picking and choosing which customers they wanted in their area / at their tables, and we clearly didnt meet any of their criteria. The hostess had no clue what was going on, and certainly didnt have any control over the situation. It was ridiculous, but we gave it about 20 minutes thinking maybe it was just...I dont know what...we were trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. Then, a huge party of 8 walked in, and got seated immediately while my husband and I continued to sit there...until we just walked out.

We were so unsatisfied with our service, will likely not be coming back here. The service was so slow and we had an appointment at 8:30 and we waited for 20 minutes sitting there before our server came to ask if we needed napkins, did not get napkins with messy wings, and took forever to get to go boxes. Chicken wings were also undercooked and we told our server, and nothing was done about it. Waste of money to have gone there hoping to eat nicer, could have went to McDonalds for cheaper and better service.

Always great food & plenty of it! Good beer & bar drinks & the service is excellent. The owners,arw very nice people.We always come to The Local House when visiting family in St.Louis. We reserved a large table in the bar area for 10 of us. Always very accommodating. Central location in the Arnold area for our family to meet at. Had a great visit & dinner here tonight. Be sure to try the bread pudding for dessert! You wont be disappointed! Laurie Myers is posting this.

This was our first time here and most likely wont be back. We waited an 1 1/2 for food to arrive, as everyone else around us got theirs, finally as it arrived we were told their grill was down. We were told something would be taken off our bill but when we received it, nothing was taken off. Food was over cooked and some of it cold. That wouldnt have been such a problem if our service was great but Service was not very friendly nor apologetic and the food was mediocre.

I had a horrible experience with my bartender on tues night, not only did she ignore me, give me attitude and take forever but come to find out she is saying bad things about me to other patrons and employees. This is very unprofessional and embarrassing. I just want others to be aware so you dont have to deal with this. The restaurant it self is awesome and all the other servers I have had are great but she really is a horrible employee to do things like this.

Have always had a great experience until tonight...The owners decided to get rid of their double button for a extra shot and now charges full price for the extra shot...imagine our surprise when the bill came and we were charged full price for 4 drinks but only ordered 2 doubles...wow what a shocker 26.00 in drinks...which means a double drink is now 13.00 when most places charge 8 or 9....definitely will rethink this option for dinner next time...

Dont go there when it is busy, they dont have enough beer glasses. My husband waited 15 minutes for a beer! The new female manager couldve cared less! She took no initiative to do anything to resolve the situation and neither did the bartenders. There were 2! We definitely should have gotten the beer for free!!! Im a bartender and would never let this happen to any of my guests! Its a shame b/c its so close to our house but oh well, their loss!

This place is the Bees Knees! I went with my grandfather shortly after they opened. My pop had the Turkey burger and I had the Stacker. WOW!!! probably some of the best burgers Ive ever had. This place puts 5 guys Burgers to shame. The service is incredible with me never having to ask for a refill. Plenty of TVs to watch as well as a dining room away from the bar. Anyone who comes through Arnold, Mo needs to stop in and have a bite.

Took wife last night, she had the fried chicken special & I had the chicken modiga. Hers came with mashed potatoes & green beans & I had white pasta with a salad. Also had the button mushroom appetizer. Everything was a home run! I understand they have a full bar but we had tea & soda because wise folks know not to drink in Arnold Missouri lest you go to jail. The food is outstanding but the police are notoriously bad!

Traffic was terrible after the ice storm. We couldnt make it an hour down the road, so we decided to stop here and have dinner and drinks. Food was amazing! Portion sizes were enormous and priced extremely well for the size. Would definitely come again ice storm or not!
