WRIST FRACTURED/BROKEN after getting ASSAULTED - taken by complete surprise and picked up, carried outside, and slammed into the sidewalk on 6/3 by one of the bouncers there. Over the years I have been to the Wild Onion tons of times, and I have never once caused a problem or had any issues with staff. On 6/3 upon approaching the bouncers at the entrance, one of the bouncers said I stumbled and was too intoxicated to enter. I calmly asked the bouncer to elaborate and clarify as to why he wouldnt let me in when my friends were allowed in and some of them were more intoxicated than I was. I laughed and said come on guys this seems a little ridiculous not to let me in, didnt raise my voice or say a single mean or aggressive thing,, didnt come at or touch them or try to push past them to get in and we werent having any sort of heated conversation which is why I was so shocked when one of the bouncers picked me up, carried me outside, and launched/slammed me into the sidewalk with enough force to fracture my wrist upon impact. After kicking me out, the bouncer dared me to come back in so he could assault me again. The bouncer who assaulted me later lied to the police and said that I had turned around and came at him (never happened and I would never do that), he gently shoved me out the front door, and I merely tripped. The second bouncer who saw it all, but did nothing wrong wouldnt call the investigating officer back and conveniently enough the bar doesnt have a security camera at the entrance to protect customers so their macho, meathead bouncers can get away with this. My friends were already inside so they didnt see the incident. Bouncers have a challenging job, and I am sure some drunk and angry/violent customers possibly deserve to be escorted out using reasonable force, but I sure didnt. I reached out to the bar and management to report what occurred hoping the bouncer would be fired and the bar would improve their bouncer hiring/training as this seems to happen somewhat frequently based on reading other reviews and with two coworkers sharing similar stories of relatives and friends being assaulted there. The owner/management never returned my call to apologize or to make things right. Wild Onion management, I gave you two stars (originally but updating this to one now after the owner responded to this calling me a liar) rather than one as I had been a customer for years and I know you cant always control one bouncers actions, and I would hope his actions dont represent your companys values. Call me back and make this right and do everything you can to prevent this from ever happening to another customer. If not, I can assure you that my family, friends, coworkers, and I will never spend another penny at your establishment, and we will continue to share my story and how poorly you treat customers. Please, if you are the bouncer who saw it all but did nothing wrong, one of the people who nicely came over to see if I was okay, or anyone else who saw this happen - reach out to me, and lets make sure that bouncer gets the assault charge that he deserves. Owner - Shame on you for calling a previously loyal customer a liar without knowing, ever meeting with me, or returning my call. Couldnt you even slightly consider that a customer is telling the truth? Why would I have called the police or spent time posting this review if I wasnt telling the truth? I would never assault anyone, and I was standing there calmly laughing when I was assaulted. The bouncer is extremely fortunate that there conveniently is not a security video at the entrance, and my friends didnt see what happened. Yeah, I waited until the investigation was over to post my review since that is what my brother who is a lawyer recommended. Show/Tell me the proof and his injuries if I assaulted the bouncer like you claim. Did he strain his back when he picked me up, carried me outside, and slammed me into the sidewalk? I know I can sleep well at night knowing the truth, but can you and that bouncer?

A good restaurant doesnt have to be based on the interior nor exterior of the restaurant or even its location, but should be based superior service and the unbeatable food they serve. Anyone would travel to have a taste of the unbeatable food and to a part of an a great atmosphere. This has not been one of those experiences for me. Out of 5 Stars * Stars for Service: I expected, at the least a smile. No, a smirk doesnt count. Friendlier service. I would agree with everyone else about the "bouncer" at the front entrance. He does his job great, Im sure of it! But he shouldnt be doing a job of a hostess. We waited for someone to greet us at the entrance, the "bouncer" finished talking to another customer at the bar before he acknowledged us and had us pick our seats. A simple "Please seat yourselves" sign would have done the same trick. *** Stars for Overall Meal: Honestly Im being generous with 3 stars. Our nachos came to us cold and in the midst of it, burnt. Granted, we waited a bit to say anything to the waitress, but in all honesty, I was disappointed to find that halfway through the nachos, the fried flour tortilla chips were burnt. Thats when we tried to sent it back, but the manager said we waited too long and we ate half way already. I asked if I could pay half because I agree, we did eat half. She said no, nor could she take it off our order. She asked if they could box it for us, I said, thats okay. The Steakhouse burger was bland and unappetizing, the fries tasted burnt. The Juicy Lucy had good flavor and was better than the Steakhouse burger. The only complaint and that threw us off was the patty that was rolled into a ball and placed between two pieces of hamburger buns. The best part was the Double Diamond wings. The smell of the wing sauce tingling your nose as you bite into the wing tells me thats a good wing! The chunks of bleu cheese in the dipping sauce added to the flavors of the wings. Overall, no, I would not recommend this restaurant to my friends or family. To send them to disappointment would be a shame.

The Wild Onion is an Applebees on steroids and viagra. Numerous fellas have to leave the club each night due to wearing through the crotch of their jeans from humping the S out of anything and everything. Ladies - if you are looking to get gang humped on the dance floor, this is the place for you. Fellas - if you are not gang humping on the dance floor, this place might not be fore you. Be careful as to where you stand as I got kicked out for standing too close to the back door. I was in a circle of friends talking by the back bar and one of the bouncers told me that I needed to move because I was blocking the door - he was standing in the doorway with the manager (werent you blocking the door???). The manager rules over the Wild Onion like Kim Jong il in North Korea. He uses fat farm boys dressed in tacky ties and white dress shirts to carry out the dirty work. I took a small step in as I didnt want to take a large step because then I would be standing in the center of the circle (standing in the middle of a conversation circle is usually frowned upon by those engaged in the conversation). I then told the bouncer that I was fine standing there and was not blocking the doorway like he was - I will admit, a little cocky on my part. Then he grabbed me and said that it was time to leave. I didnt put up a fight but the bouncer was very adamant in shoving me all the way to the door. I will admit, three to five girls said hi to me and gave me a smile on the way out. I doubt their badass fantasy in their minds involved me getting kicked out for standing too close to the door. The bouncers definitely struggle with "small man" syndrome and if they worked at a retirement home, they would kick out residents for shaking the yahtzee cup too vigorously. In conclusion, if you are wearing a hat, looking to grind out that 4-hour boner that the commercials warned you about, standing too close to the bar, or not being a duschbag this place may be for you.
