I have to be honest and say my husband and I never had the opportunity to taste the food. We pulled into Eagan MN to drop a load we had brought in. There is no truck stop in Eagan and we were so excited to have the opportunity to #1) Get Sleep and #2) Eat a meal at Starkys Tavern. To be fair, we pulled into the parking lot around 05:30 when daylight had not yet arrived. After sleeping for a few hours we were having coffee getting ready to walk next door to our much anticipated sit down meal. The owner or manager is out front yelling something out direction. My husband gets out of the truck to see how we could assist. At this point we were shown a very small sign stating no trucks. We were in the back of the lot in a desolated corner. Yes, there is a sign stating no trucks,. Yes, there are a lot of less than desirable truck drivers on the road today who in fact do not respect their surroundings. BUT the vast majority are good, honest, respectful folks. I am tired of the assumption that we are less than socially acceptable. I am tired of the disrespect shown our direction. I love what I do and am very proud to say we are quite prosperous with owning and operating our Kenworth T660. We missed a sit down meal in the YES luxury of a restaurant atmosphere. I am sad and will never ever step foot into an establishment where there is prejudice of any form.

A group of us went on a Saturday night thinking it would be fun to play some pool, have some drinks, listen to some country music and maybe line dance. Well, the place was dead at 800 at night and there was an old guy running the music who was taking money from his 8 or so old friends to play slow old music. I asked if he took requests and he was mean and almost confrontational implying that if we arent going to go on the dance floor to leave him alone. The bar and waitstaff were friendly so I brought up the interaction to them. I was told the old guy runs all the music and nobody likes him. No wonder the place was dead...... Apparently old guy pays rent to run the dance floor and he only takes care of his friends who pay him money. What a joke. I feel bad for the wait staff, as long as music Nazi is there my friends and I will not be going back!!

One of a kind hole-in-the-wall with a few surprises. Food is ok and while the staff are very pleasant and friendly the service can truthfully be painfully slow if they are busy. However, if you like to ballroom or country dance this place cant be beat. Giant floor and friendly customers. Different nights have different kinds of dancing so get on their mailing list or google them. I think the Dancing business has their own facebook page.

Im literally so angry at the old man who is the DJ. He plays crap music slow songs for the highly skewed crowd at this bar that is age 50+. He isnt nice or thankful for the business. If you are a southern transplant and craving a dance to wagon wheel, barefoot blue jean night, all shook up, well this is your place. $5 to a grumpy old man to dance with a bunch of older folks.... Wheres the 18-40 crowd?!

Love love love Starks! The food is always delicious and you get a lot of it! Yesterday I tried the cheesy jalepeno pretzel and some wings before the All You Can Eat fish fry! Im still full! With the great selection of craft beers, one of my favorite places to eat! Oh, and the dance floor is great for my toddler to run around & get some energy out before sitting down for dinner!

Great food. Great atmosphere. Fast service! Specials are great. Burgers are awesome. Totally recommend the philly steak sandwich or buffalo chicken sandwich. Chicken is always juicy!! Taco salad is great too. All the specials are amazing. I cant say a bad thing. We love going here for lunch because its fast, reasonably priced and delicious!

Dont let the small town honky tonk bar look fool you. Starks is a great place to grab a hearty breakfast like youd find in your favorite greasy spoon diner. Reasonable prices and quality food. Also has some pretty darn good burgers during the lunch hour. (Get the tots!)

Tasty food at reasonable prices, great lunch time menus. Customer service feels like could be improved, waitress seemed rushed with order and seemed pre-occupied with other tasks such as busing tables. Lots of truckers, some business folk, but full stomachs.

Great prices, friendly staff. The type of atmosphere and food that you would expect at a trucker bar. Plenty of people in dress clothes too swinging by for Happy Hour though, because the deals are great.

8. Oz was good. Baked potatoe an LOTS of butter. 4 tvs. 3 had golf, 1not sure. And then listen to line dance instructor. Food out weighs the rest. Just had to keep truck off there property.

The website really doesnt say it well, there is only a small dancing floor in center of restraunt, and we had to pay $5.00 each to dance, it had a bingo atmosphere to me, but clean

The mushroom burger was delicious with the waffle fries. My boyfriend also really liked the patty melt. It is a nice low key place to watch a game and have a beer with good food.

Service has dropped a bit ... Food tho has never disappointed me!!! Tap could definitely be colder. Pouring into non chilled glass doesnt help keep it cold.

I only have been there on Mondays so maybe weekends are more fun but this place was dead and it smelled funny. No music or tvs on in the pool table area.
