Have been hearing this is a great place to eat in Ramsey. Based on our experience on 13 May 2011, I disagree with that assessment. I spoke about out concerns during the meal to both our waitress and Martin -- who is likely the manager. Read on knowing that we did try to offer constructive criticism while we were there and the table felt that our concerns went unnoticed. As a little preamble, I have live in various states in the Southwest, have catered a number of events, prepared meals for private clients, had numerous original recipes published in cookbooks, write -- and am published -- on food, cooking and restaurants on a regular basis so I do have some great background for these opinions. Chips and salsa. BLAND. Asked for spicier salsa and was instructed by wait staff to add hot sauces on the table to the salsa. Did that and it did not increase the flavor and the spice / heat level only increased a minimal amount. How about adding a second salsa for people that actually enjoy heat and flavor? Meals. Disappointing. Wet burrito was gummy. Not spicy enough. Poblano peppers were drowning in sauce and there was no real pepper flavor. The cheese on this plate was not melted consistently which gave the meal an odd texture. The other two diners ordered beef Chimichangas. The rice was cold on one plate and both diners have heavily wrapped, soft, doughy, Chimichangas. This is NOT a Chimichanga. As a deep fried entrée, they should be crispy on the outside, not a pale white, soft blob on the plate next to the cold rice. When I asked Martin if soft and doughy was how they served them, he said there was a new cook and that maybe they could have been crispier. That was it, no apology, no offer to replace, nothing. Presentation of these two meals, like the others, was messy. None of us will return to this restaurant.

I have ate at the restaurant about five or six times now, and I think I am going to search for a better Mexican place. there food is sometimes good sometimes just ok, nothing fancy. The last time I decided to go, the kitchen lost our order and so our server re-wrote our order and put it at the top of the que. They lost it again, and the server went and got the manager and went to the kitchen with him. A few minutes later the manager walked by and said they are working on our food now and then kept walking. (No apology our we will make it up to you or anything.) about another 15min go by and they bring us our food. All four meals that we ordered were cold and we had to send them back to be warmed. Non of us could understand it. why if they were working on our food would it be cold, would it not be hot. On top of all of that the got some of the order wrong. So overall if you want a poor service with sub par food sure... try Acapulco, for me Im not going to give them any more of my money.

Aweful tonight. Didnt get seated until after an hour of waiting when we were told only 25 minutes... didnt get food until 2 1/2 hours later... we didnt even have silverware or get refills for a long time... people were seated before us and the people seated after us?? Got their food before we did. We yelled at the waitress.. her excuse? That we had more people. Um the food comes in the order as it was taken honey(;. Even I know that. We werent the only table pissed either. I saw about six tables looking around for a waitress to help them and I saw a lot of eye rolls. The workers didnt even care they just kept going about their own business. Aweful service. Aweful management as well.

Thought I had a coupon for my birthday from this restaurant so my family and I went in. Turns out it was a coupon for another Acapulco in a state Ive never traveled to. So once the waitress pointed that out I was sad. She said she asked the manager if they could honor it but they wouldnt. She gave us a card to fill out so they can send an email for your birthday because apparently you get free dip or something during this time. I was baffled because it is my birthday month so I thought maybe they would give me something but no, they didnt. Anyways, Im not impressed with management or the prices of food. 20$ for a burrito and a drink.. Eh Ill pass from now on and go somewhere else.

Went here for taco night with 8 people and a baby. When we got our tab we were informed that they no longer split tabs on taco night. The new general manager made that rule because large groups come in and each person will have a 3$ tab. That is understandable but thats what you should expect when you have a good deal on tacos. We were all fine working out the tab between everyone untill the manger comes up, looks at my tab that only has one taco and a drink on it and says "this is why we dont split tabs." Thanks for the smart ass comment mister manager you now lost my and everyone else in my groups business

Recently the management changed and they no longer split tabs on taco night, the our group of 9 expressed our disappointment with the waitress and she was very polite and said shed make an exception because we were one of the last groups there and it was very empty. The manger later showed up after some complications with splitting the tab and was very rude and exclaimed "This is why we dont split tabs!" So I do not recommend this place unless you enjoy paying with cash and being yelled at.

First I will start off that our service was okay, considering our server had to run her butt off. (It wasnt her fault) The food was poor, we paid $15.00 each for a Taco bar.....no peppers, no good greens, no onions etc! Not a $15.00 taco!! Oops, the rice was good though. The other choices of food were lukewarm. My first impression was, wow....nice restaurant...untill we got our food! Maybe just a bad night????

The kitchen has been getting slower and slower and slower. So dont go there if you have any time restraints. In the past the food, when you got it, was very good. Tonight however we found a glass marble in the side of black beans. The dining room supervisor did what he should and of course could not apologize enough. Our poor water was mortified. He was a very good waiter. We will not be going back however.

We ate here yesterday, after driving by this area for the last four yrs not knowing it was there. Took a new route and came across it and Wow! The ambiance is great, the Food is very good. The service was good. The waiter was very considerate after he had approached us several times to take our order not wanting to interrupt my husband on his phone. Id recommend this restaurant for sure!

Havent had a bad experience here after many visits. Food is always good and in large portions. It sometimes makes it hard to finish your $6 34 oz beer! Even during busy hours the waitstaff is attentive and usually quick to respond to your needs. Out of the Coon Rapids, Blaine, and Ramsey location; this one has the best food and environment.
