My wife and son and I waited 20 minutes at our table while munching on dry bread and water before I decided to go up to the bar and order some beverages myself. The server finally came over 10 minutes after that and said that she is sorry that no one has waited on us yet, so I thought the bad news was over. We ordered - I ordered the steak frites, my son the muscles, and my wife the fish. it took about 40 minutes until the food came out. My steak was just a bit warmer than room temp, as well as the fries. Im not exaggerating either. My sons muscles were barely warm - no steam or anything that would appear hot. My wifes fish came out cold, and dry. It was SO bad, that we didnt dare even try sending it back. We just got up, and told the manager the deal and said we were leaving. She felt bad, wanted to know if there was anything she could do, or offer a gift card. I declined, saying all I wanted was a decent meal and decent service, which we had none of. I will never, ever be back. I have to commend Parasole Restaurants though - ALL OF THEIR OTHER RESTAURANTS are absolutely amazing. Especially Pittsburgh Blue! Salut - you need major, major help.

The only difference between Salut Bar Americain and Fridays is the prices. The place reeks of corporate management, theres way too many tables that overwhelm the staff & the food was overpriced. We arrived on time for our reservation but still had to wait 20 minutes for a table. Then it took another 45 minutes for our waiter to bring out the wine wed ordered and wed been sitting there for over an hour before our dinner finally came out. And what a disappointment. My steak was mealy & gray and the seafood was overcooked. Not cool. Well not be making the same mistake again. For steak & frites, try Meritage in St. Paul instead.

I went here on a Tuesday night for a late dinner with a friend. We sat in the bar so we could watch the basketball game. After our server found out that we were not ordering drinks, he left us alone for almost 20 minutes before coming back to take our actual order. My salmon was undercooked and the rest of the salad was poorly executed. Maybe I just didnt care for that much fennel in my salad, or the arrugula was a few days past its prime, but the whole thing was disaspointing. And I expected more from my $17 salad. And my server.

Absolutely the worst service ever. Took 45 mins until we noticed the manager coming over to look at our table to see if our food was there. Never came and said a word to us, we only talked to the server when she took our order. She delivered food to our neighboring tables (ones that even ordered after us) and said nothing to us. No refill on my coffee either. We left after 50 mins of our food not coming out. Left a 10 on the table for drinks and no one stopped us as we left. I recommend this place to nobody and will never be back.

The service was good/friendly but most of the food was horrible for the price. The chicken was dry and tasted only of salt. The tuna didnt taste quite like tuna and it was flavorless. We make it better at home! The crab cake tasted fishy and there was only one at about $14. I would suggest to stay away if you want a good or great dinner. Lunch might be better since its hard to mess up a burger and their fries were great. I never take time to write about places but this one deserves it!! Not very good for the cost.

I wish I could give 3.5 stars. Went for happy hour with my wife. We had the oysters, gnocchi, and each had a drink. Everything was good but nothing really stood out in terms of flavors or uniqueness. Though we ordered off of the happy hour menu the final bill didnt seem like it was a steal. The tap list was pretty generic. We sat at the bar and the service was good. Ambiance was nice as well. The wife and I will probably go back but probably not for a while.

My husband and I went to Salut for our 1st Anniversary dinner by recommendation from one of our friends. After reading reviews I was a bit nervous regarding our experience. We were blown away by the impeccable service, the incredible food, and the waiter (Eric) was kind enough to give us Anniversary red velvet cupcakes. We will definitely go back to Salut, you should not hesitate to try this fantastic French cuisine with an American twist!

Dont order the salads. The Greek included a leaf of lettuce on the bottom and topped with minimal olives and feta. Not even a real salad, some sort of modern take on a Greek salad thats entirely deconstructed and extremely awkward to consume. The Salad Nicoise was extremely bland, no dressings offered to counter the dryness it left. Although their lunch salads were awful, the staff seemed very lovely and welcoming, which adds the extra star.

Had a fabulous Valentines dinner at Salut. Our wait person, Rosalind, was so friendly and had the right suggestions for food. We loved our P.E.I. mussels, sweet potato croquettes, hangar steak with lovely mashed potatoes with bordelaise sauce that Rosalind brought to us extra for the potatoes when we asked for some sort of gravy. Yum! Our bottle of Malbec topped out the meal. Fine dining. Well be back. Maybe for Sunday Brunch?

Great seafood. Very nicely prepared easy to eat king crab. .cut lengthwise. Cracking tools not required. Lobster was also prepared same way and both were fresh and very delishious. Jumbo shrimp and oysters very good. Red velvet cake is best in town. Staff are professional and attentive. Id give 5 stars but really want to see them try improving. My experience was near perfect.

Met friends for happy hour. Very nice that you can sit in either the bar or restaurant section and enjoy their happy hour. They offer good drink prices and some interesting appetizer options (food was just okay though, not great). Loved the space--roomy and many booths and tables not crammed close together. The big parking lot is a plus as well.

Horrible, the fries were soggy, the salad was nothing but lettuce leaves and italian dressing. The sandwiches tasted alright and were good sized portions but really not worth $14. The service was the worst part, we were ready to order but she didnt even ask us she was allready on her way to do something else. Will not be returning...

Great French themed restaurant with superb cuisine. Perfect appetizers for our group of 10. The entrees looked like works of art and tasted sublime. Service was a bit slow at times, especially to keep drinks topped off. The bill delivery was also tardy. Overall, fine cuisine for those courageous enough to try something different.

At first my wife is like "where are we?" I was skeptical also. Quiet industrial park looking area, but quiet. We walked in and super impressed with the old school wood work and unusualness of this Best Western. Definitely not your typical motel/hotel. Staff was awesome and friendly. Rooms were great and again not your usual room

I have only been once but did not leave impressed. The food was average at best and not worth the price. Worst was the loud atmosphere which left one unable to hold a conversation with anyone not sitting right beside you. There was also a tasteless brochure either at the table or presented with the check.
