I really want to give this place a better review. I keep trying to order from them, Ive given them many chances, and it always blows up in my face. The delivery is awful. I ordered last year, and my order was over an hour late (and I always put in orders of at least a couple hundred dollars for my events); I wanted to give them another chance and ordered last week, and my coffee cake arrived smashed - it looked like someone kicked the thing around for a while. I called back to see if they can deliver another cake or give me a refund, but no luck on that. I guess its the customers fault that they cant figure out their delivery system. Its too bad, their food really is delicious, but the delivery is unacceptable and unreliable.

So Id consider myself a cinnamon roll connoisseur and these are without a doubt, hands down, THE best cinnamon rolls in the world. Technically, they arent cinnamon rolls. Im talking about the puppy dog tails. Ohhhh yes. The 6 inch cinnamon twists from heaven. I laugh when I go to a restaurant and they tell me that their cinnamon rolls are amazing. Nothing compares to these. When I used to bike to work it was right on my way and it got really bad for a while. I was eating 3-4 of these puppies 3 times a week. At least I was biking but man, truly amazing. Pro tip: Pick up 2 dozen of these and bring em into your office. You will be a hero, like I did today.

This hidden gem has the best cinnamon rolls Ive ever tasted. My favorite part is that they set out a tub of unlimited icing for you to pile on to your liking. The small bakery gets packed on a Saturday morning with a line out the door. Its a perfect place to have a baked good and a cup of coffee to start off your weekend, and seating alwasys seems to open up on their front sidewalk area. The staff was really speedy and even offered my brother a free puppy tail so he could try it out for the first time. Its super close to the Hennepin area of Uptown and the Lake of the Isles are if you want to walk off your delicious breakfast.

I absolutely ADORE this place. The cinnamon rolls are amazing (though I recommend splitting it), or a puppy dog tail for a more manageable amount. Best part? You can add as much frosting as you want at the side table. If youre having guilt about what you just ate, walk two blocks to the trail around Lake of the Isles and stroll it off! Their cold press is also really good. Bring your own mug for a discount! Their WiFi is quick, reliable, and you actually can get a table, dont be scared off by the size of the space and how many people are in line. The staff is efficient, and turnover rates for tables are high.

Very cute, snug sidewalk bakery with nice outdoor seating available. Decent baked goods, the famed puppy dog almost lived up to the hype, but in all honesty it was a bit bread-y. Meaning, it wasnt the most seasoned or sweetened thing in the world. I bit into it and tasted a very thick, extra-consistent and puffy bread with cinnamon and frosting (which is a good cream cheese recipe). I understand not everyone is as thorough a critic as I am, so I understand how ppl love to give this cute bakery 5 stars. A perfect cinnamon roll for me (sweetened, seasoned, and baked very thoroughly), however, the puppy dog is not.

Arguably one of the best if not the best choice cinnamon buns out there. Im a big fan of cinnamon buns and these are my favorite, they are made fresh, taste amazing, and are a good value for the price. Extra frosting is free (unlike Cinnabon). The buns are also better than Cinnabon because they taste more home made and are much fluffier and arent so dense. Pro tip: if it is peak hours, call and make sure they have enough buns ready, they go fast, especially if someone walks in and orders 12-24 to go without calling in advanced, otherwise youll be waiting 20 min. (Its worth the wait though!!).

Isles is THE go-to place for sweet buns and pastries. Their puppy dog tails are what theyre famous for, but their buns and cakes are equally divine. Plus, their coffee is excellent. Ive gone into too many bakeries to find they serve terrible coffee. Pro tip: get there before 8:30 and beat the rush, especially on the weekends. If you think you can just roll out of bed after 9 and grab a quick pastry, think again—be prepared to wait in line. (Of course, the wait is worth it, so youll still leave a winner.)

Excellent, excellent pastries and coffee. Truly a cant miss. But like some other reviewers, counter staff is hit or miss. Dont force folks to stand at the counter and watch you have a conversation with some other employee for 30 seconds before you acknowledge them when theres a line. Its a small complaint but it has happened again and again and again. The food is fantastic but there is a wealth of other options in walking distance with better service which has prevented me from becoming a regular.

This place probably has the best cinnamon rolls in the twin cities. I go there frequently. However, I stopped by to pick up six rolls for an office gathering this morning and was completely shamed by the staff. It was terrible and unacceptable. They wanted me to call ahead next time with a large order (Which is fine.. I understand they are a small shop) but the way it was handled was awful. So much so that Im not sure if Ill go back. The rolls = 5 stars ... The counter staff = 1 star.

Talk about quality, I had the coffee cake and topped it with frosting. Omg I have had dreams ever since that first bite. As far as appeal standing in line seems well worth it. While you wait you can watch the crew going to work like a bunch of keebler elves. I can not say anything bad about the service. I was in and out, greeted, explained my options and laugh at when I put a huge glob of frosting on my coffee cake. All in all you have eat before you die.

Best place in Minneapolis, hands down, for any reason. Puppy tails are legendary. Tiny spot, order day before for a larger order (for your sake and other customers), dont expect to walk in at 8am and demand a pan of tails when the place is packed. Other options besides just the tails are delicious, too. For to-go/large orders they set you up nicely with utensils and extra frosting cups.

I love visiting this place on a Saturday/Sunday morning. Their freshly made buns are the best and they are made even better by the fact that you can add extra frosting to them yourself! Last time I was there it looked like they were expanding the space, which they were in dire need of. Very excited for them to have a bigger area to support their loyal patrons and attract new ones!

The cinnamon bun was gigantic, but a bit too much bread and not enough frosting. I later found out that the frosting is a self-applied option, and realized people were carrying out cups full of frosting (some without any accompanying bakery). The puppy dog tail might be the ticket, as its a slimmer piece of pastry. The coffee and outdoor seating on the sidewalk sealed the deal.
