Im giving the bakery a middling review more on execution than content. We purchased a piece of pie and two pastries for take out. I didnt examine the contents of the containers until later that day. The piece of pie was the smallest portion I have ever seen. Please excuse the hyperbole but the serving size was approximately the same size as the mini-scones offered by Byerlys in packages of a dozen. The pie itself was both excellent and poor. The crumb topping was inedible. Simply too hard to chew. The filling was wonderful, very, very good. The pastries were good. Unfortunately the server stuffed two pastries into a single container, squashing both. I will definitely visit the bakery again. However, I will be checking the containers before leaving.

You know that place you drive by for years and years and never stop in because youre always running late? Well, I was finally ahead of schedule today and swung the scooter into Honey & Ryes parking lot. I cant believe Ive missed out on this scrumptiousness for all these years. I got a quick snack of a ham and gruyere croissant and quickly realized I now have a favorite quick bite. The croissant was flaky and light and the ham and cheese were rolled into the croissant and not just plopped into the middle. It was the perfect proportion of cheese, ham and crispy goodness. I cant wait to try more at Honey & Rye and will probably do so on the way home.

I purchased a chocolate croissant which , as the seller pointed out is a classic, and which I pointed out is done well by some bakeries and not well by others. From Honey and Rye the croissant was bready and dense, not layered, flakey and yeasty. The filling in a croissant is almost immaterial, the dough defines the baker. I have faith that the bakery will improve because it is determined to be the best. I will try again in a year or so. Other items such as the savory bread pudding have been good. I look forward to trying more items and to bragging that this is my local bakery.

Wonderful! Every single item I have tried is a hit. The bakers are creative too. This has become my favorite place to treat myself and others. For special event I buy a whole chocolate coconut cream pie -oh my gosh... I have to go get one right now. I have lived in St. Louis Park for 25 years and have seen a few bakeries come and go. This one is special and I expect will be around a very long time.

Great pastries and coffee with cheerful, talented staff. My only knock on this St. Louis Park institution are the comparatively high prices and limited seating. Attempting pleasant conversation with a friend over coffee and their AMAZING monkey bread, becomes significantly less enjoyable when fixed with the glower of any subsequent patron in need of seating. Best get your treats to go!

Great food, fun atmosphere. Best items are the apple strudel, pretzels on Sunday, and snickerdoodle cookies. Only downside is they dont make the strudel or snickerdoodles as often, but you can always get a quiche or monkey bread instead.

Constantly impressed by the seasonal offerings. I thought the apple strudel would be my all-time favorite, but then it became pumpkin bar season. Do yourself a favor - get a pumpkin cheesecake bar, and savor every bite of it.

Delicious! The breakfast sandwich was so good and the pan au chocolat was superb. The cafe miel was expertly made. A little light on seating but they seem like more of a high quality grab and go spot.

Delicious pastries and breads. They also support local farms by acting as a CSA drop site and purchasing their produce. Highly recommend a stop here!
