I walked by this place a few days before and it smelled amazing. We only have one decent Chinese place in the Roseville area so I came back to try it. My wife was excited because they have a lot of gluten free options and having a gluten allergy can complicate eating out at times. She got the Moo Goo Gai Pan at a 3 spicy and she said it was too hot. She is generally fine with spicy foods. Regardless of the spice she wasnt overly impressed. I had the General Tsos which Ive been searching for a good version of this in the Midwest, nothing beats the places I went to in Oregon and California growing up. At $13 for the entree I was hoping it would be amazing. Sadly the portion was small, the taste was bland and the meat quality looked a little low. Sadly this will not be the go to place I was hoping it would be. Might give it another shot sometime to see if we caught them on an off night. I should add we got takeout and there were only three tables with people in the restaurant. The cook was busy staring at his smart phone when I arrived, wish hed spent more time focusing on the quality of our meal.

Stayed at Ramada for business and called ordered for delivery. When I called to place my order I was told about the 7.00 delivery charge (which was not an issue) my issue came when it took over an hour for my food to arrive. Then upon arrival and after I paid I opened the bag to see my order was incomplete (no egg roll) no soy sauce and no utensils. It is take out/delivery and you are delivering to a hotel room. I dont really understand the order not complete but to not supply eating utensils for takeout/delivery. The three stars might be for effort, as for taste, I had to go to Wendys across the street and ask for a fork so I could then return to eat cold take out. Maybe if I had dined in the situation could have been different, but when I called to just let them know the above issues, the person answering the phone was very rude and did not offer any type of apologies. So I can only imagine what the dining room service might be.

This place is exactly what Ive been hoping for for years! Amazing street type food with great ingredients, gluten free options and crazy good spice! They also put thought and care into their ingredients. Sourcing organic, local and grass fed. So yummy food without the gut bomb:) We went with our 3 little kids. We all ordered something different and everything was a hit. My son loves calamari but we havent been able to have it for years due to gluten intolerance. We were able to order it here and it was soooo good! The place wasnt hopping but it should be! People just dont know about it yet. Prices were really reasonable. GO HERE!!

Food is worth about half of what they are asking for. My boyfriend and I got take out for us to share - general tsos chicken and fried dumplings and the portions were unbelievably small with very little flavor. General tsos had enough food for one person. I expected a lot more for the $13 we paid for it as compared to a place like China Express which packs the containers full and doesnt cheap out by filling half the container with rice. Dumplings were also very small. I was super disappointed because the reviews made it seems great and we were both still very hungry after eating. More like a snack than a meal.

I like this place quite alot. The space is calm and sunny, parking is easy. The menu is fairly small. Ive liked the Madras curry and the Indian Fried noodles and the green beans. Also the dumplings are a treat...different than chinese, crispier and more savory. Prices are just a tad high--but the quality of the ingredients is noticeably above average. I enjoy the blend of south asian and chinese tastes. staff will tell you how spicy things are relatively and if you ask for hot you will get it! service is friendly if sometimes a bit slow because of multi-tasking in a family run place. recommended!

Very good food. I read a previous review that said the service was a little slow, but I do not see that as a negative. I think it indicates that each dish is prepared right after you order it. I will definitely be going back there. I also will try to get my Friday Night meeting to go there as we go to a different restaurant each week. I mentioned this to the proprietress and she said that they close at 9 on Fridays but if we get there before the doors close theyd be delighted to serve us. Thats flexibility.

A great fusion of Chinese and Indian food. Dont go starving as you will wait for your food as there is a crowd and it is the wife taking the orders and the husband cooking. I went in a group and had my baby with me and the wife kept cooing and you could tell how much she enjoyed babies. The husband surprised me by asking about her when I picked up my to go order for home when we finished our lunch. They may be super busy, but they notice things and that makes a big impact on customers!

Read a few reviews of this place so I decided to check them out for lunch last week as it was not far off that days commute. I must say, the lunch was really good and distinct from your average American/Chinese restaurant. The order itself was for sweet/sour chicken w/ sauce on the side. The pieces were big and meaty, not your average batter fried piece of meat. The prices were slightly higher than Im used to but the quality made up for it. Ill be back.

The Chicken Chow Mai Fun is so freaking delicious! Whenever I crave this dish, I head down Hennepin and stop in for a sit-down meal or take out. The food arrives relatively fast and the service is great. Nina, the owner, usually stops by to chat and is very friendly. Ive tried other dishes here (good, but nothing tops the Chow Mai Fun) with friends and have had good experiences. Definitely recommend this place for a good ,local, ethnic meal.

Thomas and Nina are incredibly hospitable. I used to live near this restaurant and go there maybe once a month ~ Im a poor college student. Thomas always remembered my roommates and me. The food is delicious. Just tell Thomas what you like and hell recommend something great. I recommend the Madras Chicken and the Indian Fried Noodles. The dip that goes with the wontons is amazing. Oh! And dont forget to get some of Ninas ginger tea!

I ordered the spicy shrimp fried rice, veggie samosas, and shrimp toast. I was not impressed. The rice was bland, the only seasoning I could taste was faint curry. Also, the shrimp was not cleaned well. The shrimp toast was also bland - not like any I have ever had before. I didnt like the mustard aioli. The samosas were fine, but the accompanying sauce was gross and weirdly sweet. I would not get food from ChinDian again.

I have visited several times and the food has been outstanding every time. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable yet very classy. Entrees are priced reasonably. The sauces they use make every dish unique and very flavorful. This is the kind of place where the owner will come out to say hello and make sure everyone is satisfied. I highly recommend ChinDian to anyone who is into Asian or Indian food.
