My girlfriend and I heard amazing things from friends about Ummies. We were excited to finally check it out. Unfortunately, the food and service was horrible. We really wanted to like the restaurant, but it was one bad thing after another. We ordered some wings for appetizers and that was fine. I got the black and bleu burger and my girlfriend got the avocado burger with an egg. I asked for no dressing and when I got the burger, it was easy to tell there were barely any bleu crumbles on top. The egg was cooked all the way and both burgers were well done black on both sides. You could taste the char from the grill and it was very dry. My girlfriend works at a restaurant, so we were trying to be understanding to the waitress, but it took us over 15 min from us asking for a check and to actually paying out. Our server instead closed out the check of a big family. We sat before the family, ordered, ate, and asked for the check before this family. And we still were waiting for her as she walked passed. She didnt even check back with us to explain she was busy or behind at the moment, completely ignored. Not to mention, another table came 20 min after we sat and they still got their bill before us. We couldnt believe it. We then thought maybe if we cleaned the table, got our jackets on, and had our card out and ready shed realize were ready to leave... still nothing. We then thought of just walking out, but we didnt want to be rude. Finally, another server came and cashed us out. As I was signing the receipt, our server finally came and apologized. She then shared all the servers are behind, but she really just didnt prioritize us when we were there first and completely ignored us. We did not tip and she gave us a $5 gift certificate for our "inconvenience". Were still shocked we had such a bad experience. For the restaurant to have a full page on the menu of just burgers, you would think the burgers would be better. You cant request temperatures, its not add on friendly, char tasting, and sadly all around a black patty. We will not be back any time soon. Be wary of their burgers and bad slow service.

For both time that I was there with a large group the service was horrible and food came out cold. I ordered an appetizer and a regular meal with a salad. They brought out the salad and the meal at the same time and then half way through my meal they brought out my app. My food came out cold and was completely over salted. The worst part was that the service was horrible but since we came in a group larger than 8 we had to give 18% gratuity. So I had to give a 7 dollar tip to a waitress that did a horrible job. Not impressed. Will never go back again. Plenty of other bars in Mankato that are better.

We went there on a Saturday in the early evening. The atmosphere was good, and our waitress was friendly. The drinks were large and cold and it wasnt very busy. However, it took 40 minutes to get our food, and I had upgraded my french fries to onion rings for an additional $3.19 (if memory serves me correctly). When I finally received my meal, I had a total of four (4) onion rings on my plate. Two large, two small. I was incredibly disappointed. Should have stayed with the french fries.

This is a nice locals bar. The wait staff is very friendly, they know their products. They are helpful when asking for recommendations on food or drink. They include a nice set of local, regional and junk beer. The food is on the buttery side for my taste, but it is consistent. Friday nights or event night it can be quite loud and crowded, however, the staff is still quick and attentive.

Experienced slow service several times when it wasnt busy. Waitress slapped an extra gratuity onto the bill for a reasonable group of 8 with no warning. Service was was so poor, none of us wanted to tip much if at all. Orders were billed incorrectly and apps were delivered mid meal even though they were ordered ahead of the meal.

We went on a weeknight, so it wasnt terribly busy, brought the kids, so we were also early. The food was good, the prices were fair, service was good as well. All in all, it was a good experience, we will go again.

The fries and tator tots are fine, but we found a hair stuck in the burger. Also the burger patties on their are way too huge; couldnt taste anything but meat and could barley fit it in my mouth.

This my favorite bar in town! It has great service and very friendly staff! They also have great food and drink specials! On Wednesday nights they do trivia which is very fun!
