TL;DR: good food, garbage experience, probably wont go back for a while. Has been a good experience the last few times weve visited, but the owners are no longer involved with service and it shows. I think 3 stars might be generous, but the food IS pretty good. Service was pretty bad...Had to repeat order several times because music was hard to hear over, and the guy just wasnt listening. Several things were missed from our order, we had to tell prep line what goes in the standard recipes because they missed ingredients 3x before they got the items right, one order got spilled and line prep kid cleaned it up with his bare hands and went back to work without washing, and then I had to tell the register operator all over again what we ordered...Several times, because she was having a hard time ringing things with all the other commotion...And again, something was left off the final check, so I had to pay a 2nd time for what was missed. To boot, the ordering system and experience is horrible at this location. Easily visible overhead menus are incomplete, full menus have to be returned before you get to the counter which slows down service and causes confusion. Then, no one takes down the order, causing you to repeat it multiple times. Finally, the reg operator has no idea what on the line is yours, so forces you to repeat the order all over again.... If youre reading this Piada, seriously, you guys really need to work on this.... Even really good staff would struggle with this approach. Get a KVS and a better POS, redesign your menus to be more usable, and at least turn down the music enough so your employees can hear your customers

So, what is a Piada, you may ask? Certainly that is the question on your mind as you walk into this open and brightly lit restaurant. Italian street food is the tag line on their marketing materials so that gives us some hints. A Piada is basically an Italian burrito. They start with a thin flour bread circle that is toasted with some olive oil and spices, then your choice of meat, sauce and veggies are added. Then its folded up and served hot. Simply delicious and not as heavy as your normal Chipotle. But, for my money, Piadas pastas and salads are even better. The pastas are huge and can serve 2 people and you can mix and match veggies, meats and sauces or go with one of their menu ideas. The chop salads are also wonderful. Of course, you cant go wrong with a piada, the namesake. For pastas I love the sausage with the diavolo sauce and the seasonal Fall Steak and Avocado Piada is sensational. Best of all, its fast casual so youre not ask to tip, which saves us from having that uncomfortable conversation. Also they tend to have a lot of coupons so watch you mail or your inbox. Love the Piada.

I have been here several times since it opened. Food is pretty good, but ordering system is super inefficient and error prone. By the time you get your food, you have repeated your order at least once to 4 different people, and every time something is not right. I am very tolerant and I understand mistakes happen, but if it is a reccuring theme, somethings not right. All in all when everything is weighed its pretty far down my list of choices. As far as specific items, I like their balsamic salad dressing and there are many options to come up with a great pasta dish. Today I had soup for the first time there and it was ok, but tasted very prepackaged.

I tried ordering online before I went, but the online order wouldnt go through, so I decided to place my order when I got there. Boy, was that a mistake! I was 3rd in line when I arrived and I waited 15 minutes to place my order (some people behind me decided it wasnt worth the wait and left). This wasnt because they were busy, but because the staff were suuuuper slow! The portions are decent, but I think theyre on the spendy side for what you actually get. Will I get this again? Eh... probably not. If I do, Ill definitely give the online ordering another shot.

The food is good. I order on line and have now 4 times and every time and I mean every time they are out of something, or they didnt print out the order so nothing is ready. Im not ordering late, in fact latest order was just after 8PM. You shouldnt be out of ingredients at 8PM. They are nice enough about it when I get there but its annoying to use the pick up service when there always seems to be an issue with it. Ill still go there because the food is good and the people are nice but they have got to get a handle on inventory and their pick up service.

Outstanding food. Nothing here is bad. The pasta is a hair on the dry side (read as: needs a bit more sauce) but still really good. Everything on the menu is great. I prefer the Steak Avocado Piada with Orange Italian soda. If its Tuesday and not too far for you and you have kids (so many conditions!), hit up the Mall of America location to take advantage of their free kids meal with drink (a more than sufficient portion for a kid) with adult entree purchase. Cant beat the quality for the price on Tuesday, for sure, but maybe any other day, too.

Two of us got dishes that were assembled per their recipe (trio, calamari piada) and one ordered a customized piada and a side (orzo salad). While the ingedients seemed fresh, all of our dishes were awful. Very greasy, very salty, no taste. DEFINITELY not Italian! Two us felt sick after eating there, it was just too heavy. By far the best part was the Italian soda. The place was clearly conceived with Chipotle and Noodles in mind, but those places actually serve food that is cooked and seasoned.Wont be back! Very disappointing.

The salads are unbelievable! The farmers market salad is amazing and order it whenever I go there. Ive tried other dishes but Im hooked. I went there today, and spilled some or most of my salad while eating and politely let them know so they could clean that up. A few minutes later the supervisor (Matt) came out smiling with another salad to compensate me for the loss. Not many restaurants take that extra step so today they earned another loyal customer. Great food. Great atmosphere.

The pasta was dried out and less than room temperature. The pepperoni rolls were hard and stale. They do not heat up the food! They take lukewarm pasta and throw on the cold veggies of your choice and call it fresh. The Calamari sand which was basted in oil -bland and gross. This is why people in the mob never rat on each other -its the fear that they will end up in the witness protection program stuck with this kind of garbage.

Love the calamari personally, but all of their food is fresh and tends to have a little bit of zing to it. Portions are decent sized ( fairly large), but even more importantly than the quantity, I must stress the quality is supreme. You can taste how fresh it is, even the feel of the ingredients is a fresh and crisp texture. This is definitely not your typical McDonalds pink slime garage at all! Very snazzy
