This place has fantastic food, pastries, and coffee. I have been here multiple times and have never been let down by any of those. Now with that being said, I have sat at a table and sat at the bar quite a few times and have been so utterly disappointed in the time I had to wait and the lack of service I had received. The last time I visted I was with a party of five and had to wait a decent amount of time to get a table which is understandable, but my gripe was that they gave us the option to split our party 2 and 4. My family sat at a table with 4 and my boyfriend and I sat at the bar. We put in our coffee order and food order in before the rest of my family. It took us 40 minutes to just receive our coffee and we were sitting in front of the espresso machine. My family had received their coffee order way before us and had already eaten when we got ours. By the time we got our coffee my family was done and had to wait for us to finish. This was so unacceptable and ridiculous. The service here is pure ass. I usually do not mind if the service is subpar, but this has happened so many times that it is hard for me to want to come back, which sucks because this place has great food.

This place has amazing breakfast food and great hot chocolate (the warm vanilla is a must). You should try the critters for dessert! They are deep fried croisants covered in powered sugar and honey. I really want to give it 5 stars because it truly is some of the best breakfast food Ive had, but the service was terrible. We were ignored for a long time when we walked in and it took very close to 2 hours for lunch. There were 2 servers for the entire restaurant even though it was filled to capacity. Definitely dont come here if you are in a rush or on a strict schedule. We were told the portions were very large by the waitress but they are only moderate. The sides are very small and maybe not worth the price, but they are tasty. Important note: There is only a capacity of 60 people so it is a very small restaurant which means there will typically be a wait. It was even full on a Monday afternoon. I wouldnt try coming here with a large party; there are maybe 4 or 5 tables that seat parties of 4 and the rest are tables for 2.

My wife and I arrived right at open, and were seated immediately; based on the more negative reviews here, we thought avoiding a wait would take care of any possible annoyance. We were mistaken. The service was quite poor. Our drink order was taken twice, and was still delivered incorrectly. We were also asked to confirm our food order 20-minutes after placing it. We then watched four tables of people seated after us receive -- and finish -- their food before we got ours. When we asked for pastries to go, our server directed to get up and go to the pastry counter to place our order. The pastry counter attendant then directed us to carry our order back to our table. Our server then came over to ask us what wed ordered so she could add it to our bill. This process added twenty minutes to the 60-minutes wed already spent at the restaurant -- a restaurant where wed each ordered one omelette and one coffee apiece. 80-minutes. For two omelettes, two coffees, and two croissants to-go. The food was good. We wont be back.

Top three meals of my life! We were looking for a quaint, romantic spot with great food for an anniversary dinner. Boy, did this place fit the bill! It has a nice, cozy atmosphere. The service was attentive, but not overly so. Our waitress offered knowledgeable suggestions on everything from wine through to dessert. She knew her stuff, but was happy to let us choose. And the food!!! Phenomenal. Portions were generous, meats (seared tuna and filet) were cooked PERFECTLY, and the flavors were outstanding. Seriously, words fail to express how complex and masterful the food tasted. At one point my girlfriend nearly "lost her composure," if you catch my drift. Dont mean to sound crass, but it was that good. I had beignets and coffee for dessert and they were better than Cafe DuMond in the French Quarter. And the price, for a fine dining experience, was reasonable. Bottle of wine, appetizers, two hearty meat dishes, two desserts and coffee for $100. Ive paid three times as much in NY for half the meal. We WILL be back.

At its best, this place is wonderful. Interesting flavors and perfect portion sizes. The coffee and espresso are worth the noise and overdone (typical TC) decor. About once a month I get the desire for crepes georgette and an espresso, and head up to Patisserie Amie. I loved the slightly bitter taste of homemade caramel over a delicate crepe, with 2 or 3 slices of pineapple carefully placed inside. Unfortunately the last time I was there ( a very busy Sunday) I ordered my favorite sweet crepe to find it made with much less care, with a stack of pinapple holding what appeared to be melted baking caramels. The price is higher than it should be, but when they are hitting on all cylinders, the value is fair. If you have time, try the beignets, they take about 15 minutes to make, but WOW. Used to come with a free cafe olate (coffee and milk) No longer the case with the new menu, but still worth it.

We are eating here right now, came for the crepes. Delicious and service was great. Very busy but we got taken care of quickly. We blindly ordered a crab crepe and though it was great my secons bite revealed onion and my palate is a little to sensitive to it. Our server Samuel was quick to apologize and remove it from out bill. However the Asperges crepe was worth any hiccups we had! Something our server had recommended to us and it payed off. Delicious white sauce, asparagus, ham. Came out perfectly. My first crepe experience here was perfect, we are business owners in Grand Rapids and appreciate good customer service.

I have been here before and been pleased....but yesterday.....even though I ordered the Normande because I loved the ingredients.....the brie cheese was swapped out for bleu cheese without being informed of a shortage.... yes I noticed. it is disappointing when youre ready to taste brie. No adjustment was made to bill or explanation, Im sure the cost difference was substantial. I had driven 800 miles here to see my family and this small thing was a real bummer. Didnt want to make a thing of it but attention to detail is a big part of the appeal of this establishment. Someone had a bad day and it spilled over to customers.

Firstly, the pictures on their website dont capture the elegant ,peaceful, intimate atmosphere. The menu is perfection. We had to have the beignets, they are presented beautifully and melt in your mouth. Best eggs Benedict ever!! Asparagus crepe was mind blowing, perfect crepe, the ham took a back seat to the asparagus but as you chew the flavor finishes with a ham that is creamy, not Smokey.....light Bechemal sauce. The coffee is a must, full bodied without bitterness. Cafe aulait is beautifully presented. If you are like us, always looking for a memorable experience with food....This IS it!!!

Loved everything about this place! I enjoyed the French atmosphere, the energetic and friendly staff, and the food! I had the omelette special of the day and the Hitch espresso drink. Perfect combination! The omelette was nothing like anything I had eaten before! It had fresh mint mixed in the eggs and was packed full with sweet peas, pea sprouts, sautéed greens and a creamy goat cheese! The dish came with a side if fresh fruit and some crispy bread. My husbands only complaint was that he could hear the chefs music coming from the kitchen over the french music playing for the guests.
