This restaurant is not safe for adults and children with food allergies. If you go here, warn your waitress that you have a food allergy and then order something she assures you is safe, you or your child might have a life threatening allergic reaction because it is now clear that the staff doesnt even know what they are selling. And then when you tell the restaurant staff about the reaction, they will blame you. People who have food allergies are not at fault for what they suffer from any more than a person in a wheel chair. Would this restaurant also blame a handicapped person who had a problem in their restaurant and tell them they should stay home? I encourage anyone who believes restaurants have a responsibility to care about people and know what they are actually serving people to stay away from this business. Its one thing to accidentally have a miscommunication about food service even if its due to poor training. Its another to not take accountability for it and to blame your patrons. What a disgusting, reprehensible attitude. Wake up: Food allergies are on the rise. If you sell food, you have to be more responsible than this. Horrible, shocking attitudes, I dont care how good your food is. You should be ashamed.

Amazing Meals & Decor A New Favorite WOWd Oh Yea I was with the very unique decorated walls and tables along with fast friendly service with a smile from Cindy,,,youre great. An amazing great eating spot you must try. I seen they ere in the top 5 of Detroits best breakfast spots and have many awards and Thank You letter posted. I just cant believe Ive missed this place on my eating adventures. The flaming cheese was incredible at only $4.99 loaded with a super flavor Ive not had before,,,much better than any other placed Ive had one burned for me. Super lunch combos along with great soups and salads. had the Polish combo really good and that loaded burger with crunchy fries YUM. Wife had the super Chicken dinner which was cooked to a perfect flavor. Well be back for many more meals as there prices are very reasonable and the service really tops many in the area. Check them out on Facebook too for many of there specials and great photos. ENJOY

Very disappointed to see the owner misogynistically belittle and publicly shame an older female server who apparently worked there for 25 years as he sat at a table with his family surrounding him while they were dining together. My family and I were astounded and we quickly paid the bill and left. It wasnt necessary and he could have taken her quietly to the back to discuss the matter of shredded lettuce rather than yell at her in the dining room. We wont return and I hope she finds another job. :(

Our favorite breakfast spot, bacon always cooked perfect not burnt like most places, eggs always perfect over- medium, get my yolk with white cooked, unlike most people who either over or under cook them, fast and friendly service, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, always CLEAN!! I cant tell u how many times weve left places over dirty silverware or glasses, even huge franchises. Never have had any issues at Flamingos! Thank you so much for caring about your business to keep your clients satisfied

family dining atmosphere, flamingo and beach theme. happy colors. great go to for breakfast! all of their food is very good, reasonable price, not skimpy...usually have some left over to take home. most of the staff has been there for years. many locals and police frequent. kids welcome and accommodated, as are disabled and handicapped. very friendly atmosphere, even between customers while eating.

Their fish sandwich is the best Ive had in SE Michigan. The batter was crisp and delicious and the fish tasted fresh. It wasnt watery the way they come out when thawed just before frying. The fries were also good. The portions were generous by Michigan standards and the price reasonable, but the sandwich would be considered dinky in Pittsburgh.

this is a wonderful resturant and my husband and I attend often. The breakfast specials are great and I have never had a meal that I have not liked. The service is outstanding everyone including the owner is extremly friendly. This is a nice, relaxing place to chat and enjoy a meal.

Stopped on a road trip that started at Detroit airport. Service was very friendly and good food that tastes just like homecooking. The chicken and dumplings were great. The atmosphere is that of a diner with kitschy decor. Would recommend!

Some of the best diner food. Clam chowder is divine. Fish has a great light homemade breading. Even the bread is perfectly crust on the outside and soft and fluffy inside. Great old-fashioned good food.
