Bathrooms need heavy overhaul on remodeling, and a cleaning staff. Bathrooms were filthy, hallways were messy. Food was good so hats off to the chef but the big tavern (bigger more expensive burger) came smaller than the double tavern. Server (Alex) was rude and annoyed that she had to serve us one booth over cuz we had kids as couldnt use the table. She was slow with requests( we actually kept requests to a minimum cuz she was forgetting things and not coming to refill drinks and when we did have a request she was not happy about it. Honestly the 17% tip we left was more than she deserved but she wouldve gotten a 21% tip if she was less annoyed And did her job) never got bottomless steak fries. Had to ask for refills which took up to 10 minutes to get. And asked for side sauce 3 times and never once received it. Place was dead so she wasnt swamped... 4 tables to cover and felt like she had 15 tables to deal with. Will not use same server if we decide to give this place or more try. We are huge on customer service and we tip generously when treated with respect and we respect that she tried to hide her attitude and annoyance but it was not enough to mask it and made our small party of 4 very uncomfortable the majority of the time.

From past experience, I vowed never to return to this restaurant. I only went today because I had a gift card. This visit firmed up why I feel the way I feel about Red Robin. Way too much time passes from when youre sat at a table to when your server actually makes contact with you. The food is so-so. (Definitely not worth the price they charge for it.) This is just a bad restaurant overall. Also, if you order buffalo clucks and fries, your fries will also be buffalo as they use them to line the dish before they drizzle the buffalo sauce all over the chicken. Those were the nastiest, soggiest fries Ive ever had. Never again, Red Robin. Never again. No Flavor in the Burger Meat Ive not gone into a Red Robin in over 5 years and now I know why. A family of 3 a burger each and a drink $ 40 plus tip is out of my league. This place maybe good for families with small kids as they sung happy birthday 6 times while we were there. The burger meat has no flavor at all and the service is not the best waiting and waiting for drink refills at $ 2.39 for a Coke and $ 5.25 for a draft beer.

We are a family of 5 and we have a 3 year old daughter with multiple food allergies. Going out to dinner is very rare as its hard to find resturants that can safely accommodate those with food allergies. Red robin is known in the allergy community to be accommodating to those with food allergies. Today server Luke and Manager John L did a great job accommodating our young family. I spoke to John L both on the phone prior to coming in and again upon arrival to the restaurant. John sat at our table and explained to us the training he goes through. My husband and I were both incredibly grateful for Red Robin for creating an inclusive envrioment for our daughter. The only downside is the food isnt amazing. Its good, the kids had a great time but the food is comparable to every other chain restaurant out there. However due to Red Robin being the only allergy friendly restaurant in the area we will be back. Thanks again Red Robin Southgate for accommodating our family.

We sat down at 3:45. My wife received her cup of soup and I received my side salad 30min later. When my food arrived 55min later it was not what I had ordered. I ordered a Big smokey jack tavern and they brought the small one. My son ordered the kids chicken strip with fries he additionally wanted a cup of soup. She wrote it down wrong and he did not get fries. When I had ordered I stressed that I was ordering the big tavern sandwich and even pointed to it on the menu to avoid confusion. I sent it back and asked it to be removed from my bill, I do not eat food after it has been sent back. When we received our bill they had taken my wifes food off and not mine. There were two other tables in our section that also sent their food back because of the food quality or because it was the wrong thing. We also had to wipe the crumbs off of our booth seat when we arrived. I have gone to this location since it was opened when I was a kid. We will not be back.

4pm Saturday...many empty tables but told to wait. For 15 mins Then it got really crowded. We waited for a long time after we sat at a table for our waitress. Waitress named Cassandra came and told us we have wait a minute and then she finally took our orders. A different server brought our food and finally our waitress came and asked if we needed anything else so I reminder her that we were celebrating my daughters friends 10th birthday She brought her sandae and put it on our table...she said its a free sandae we dont sing birthday song unless it requested because they didnt want to embarrass the customer. She looked at 10 year old and asked her if she wanted her to sing a birthday song. WTF! I talked to a manager named Lofonzo, on the way out and told him about the service. He said please called us Monday and tell the story to my mamager so we can give you some money to come back. FTF!!!!

Most of the time when I go to Red Robin or get takeout I really enjoy the unique tastes of the burgers and this time wasnt any different except I decided to customize my A1 Peppercorn burger. I just wanted a little different taste so I exchanged the onion straws for a red onion slice and added extra tomato. The only problem is getting extra tomato to them must mean going from one thin slice of a medium tomato that doesnt cover 1/3 of the burger to getting two thin slices barely covering 1/2 of the burger. This was very disappointing to get less tomato than I would expect from a normal portion for the price you pay for their burgers. I think the next time I order and want extra tomato I may have to explain how much extra would be considered extra. I just hope I didnt have to pay extra for that pathetic amount of tomato.

My girlfriend ordered a tavern double substitute with Boca burger but it only came with one at the wyandotte location. We didnt have this problem at the madison heights location. We told the manager and he said that he would make an exception thia time.Then our waitress seamed annoyed from the beggining. We waited forever for the bottomless fries to start out after we told her we were hungry. She kept passing our table and just looking at the empty dry plate after we had finished them and doesnt offer to replace. She brought me more water but not my girlfriend. She bought us to go containers with no bag and we even asked her for a bag. She also handed us a bag with an attitude as if we were nothing her.
