I grew up on Primanti Bros. sandwiches from the original, Smallman street location in PGH. Best damn sandwiches anywhere! But I have to say that the Novi location doesnt come close to home... Been years since I had a "Capone", so I ordered one and well, I was pretty disappointed. Bread was so dry that it fell apart before the first bite, the sausage didnt have that browned yumminess, and the fries werent crispy like I remember... My wife ordered a milkshake that the server promised to be so thick ya needed a spoon, yet was "runny" and "soupy". She ate a few bite of the Burger she ordered and said it was bland and not worth ordering again... Id say, if youre gonna go to Primantis, take a weekend, head down the turnpike to Pittsburgh, and head to Smallman st. in the strip district or over to East Carson st. on the Southside. Its been a staple around those parts for years. Ask anyone! As far as them branching out to become a "chain", well if they wanna survive outside of the Burg, then the cooks ought to go learn from the best... Sorry to say, I wont be heading back to Novi for a Capone any time soon if ever...

My wife and I were really disappointed with this place. The wings were good, but had a hard time not having to pay for a side of ranch when it literally says on the menu "order of wings comes with free bleu cheese or ranch" (blame the manager for that one). My wifes sandwich was brought out and I waited an extra 10 minutes to get mine because they "forgot". The sandwiches were by far the biggest letdown of the entire experience. Absolutely no flavor at all. I will go to Arbys and have a better tasting sandwich than this place. They claim Italian bread which is a complete joke. The bread is soggy and bland. If youve ever had true Italian bread you will cry with how bad this tasted. I had high expectations going in but left with the intention of never returning again. I felt bad for the waiter because in situations like this they are blamed for something out of their control.

Worst Experience at a restaurant in a long time. The service was atrocious. Waitress had a really bad attitude problem, walking away and being cold. We had to wait an extremely long time between drink orders, then the food came out and some items, including a childrens meal was overlooked. The grilled chicken on the salad was awful! It must have been in a vacuumed sealed packet, it certainly was not cooked the day it was served. The sandwiches were good, but french fries on the side were cold. The manager had to be requested twice, but once she arrived she was helpful and tried to make things right. The only positive I can say is that the TV setup is nice for football games. I have been to the original Primanti Brothers in Pittsburgh and this is NO WAY NEAR the original. The Novi store is trashing the brand and experience.

I was really excited to try this place because I love deli sandwiches. despite all the flair though the sandwich is actually quite dull. First the bread is white Italian which is kinda lacking in flavor. Maybe if it were grilled or toasted? Second I got capicola but it was sliced way too thick. Then the fries act really just like more bread in the middle, they arent crispy and the taste doesnt come through. Overall I thought the sandwich was incredibly dry. They dont come with sauce. If this just had some Russian dressing or Italian dressing it would kick it up a notch. As it is Bronx deli is many times better. I did love the tater tots though. They were super crispy and awesome and the venue is nice. Ill probably go back to try something else but its sad their signature item is pretty bland.

A few of the guys from work wanted to try this place out so we ordered carry out. I myself ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich alone with cheese fries and a side of fried pickles. The sandwich had no flavor to it and barley any Buffalo sauce . The bun was soggy the meat was dry. The cheese fries tasted as if they took a few slices of cheese and threw them in the microwave and put it on top of the fries, the fries themselves were also very soggy and had no flavor to it. I couldnt wait to try the fried pickles, I took a piece and bit into it and the whole pickle came out, the pickle wasnt even warm. No sauces were included in anything no ranch for the pickles. Overall experience was a fail but I will go back because I believe in second chances

The atmosphere gets a 5 star rating. Good place to eat, watch sports & drink beer. The restaurant reminds me of Buffalo Wild Wings. They are known for their sandwiches, however; the menu offers other items such as pizza, burgers, wings, chicken sandwiches, fish, and salads too. Their sandwiches get a 3 to 4 star rating. They are huge! This isnt a problem, but it seemed to be lacking some mayo or something to tie it all together. The bread is soft. The meat is delicious. The slaw adds a nice crunchy sweet vinegar twist. You can fries on the sandwich or get them on the side. Either way they are yummy. I recommend you try them for yourself. Im willing to visit again.

It is nice to get a Primanti Brothers in Michigan, all though I do feel that it came with much unneeded hype. The sandwiches we had were mediocre at best, but the appetizers and pizza were great. The happy hour is also pretty fantastic (3-7pm EVERY day). The service was good, the restaurant was clean, and the decor is nice and somewhat unique. I would urge anyone to try a sandwich as tastes differ, and at the end of the day it is a good experience. I will continue to go back, but for pizza and wings (they run a special on Tuesday) and for the good happy hour.

Good experience. Portions were huge! Had the Angus Sirloin Steak and Cheese. Liked it, but would get fries on the side instead of in the sandwich and just add a few on myself. There were too many fries which were not crunchy and end up as too much smooched potatoes in my sandwich. Fries are yummy on their own. Sandwich also needed some sauce!!! where is the sauce!!!…and they should lightly grill the bread (but they don’t). Terror Tots were great, liked the fresh sliced jalapenos. I’d go back, but it not in a rush. Pizza looked good, will try that next time.

I would NEVER recommend this restaurant to anyone. Went here after shopping at 12 oaks and found hair in both my food and my friends food. Mind you, we ordered completely different things! It was not just a piece of hair either, but an entire clump in the middle of my chicken sandwich, as if someone was brushing their hair while preparing our food. Luckily, the manager did mediate the situation by giving us free drinks, but we left as soon as we finished them. I was completely disgusted and will not be returning.

So I went there yesterday for my birthday. After seeing it on food network for years. I ordered the pizza and wings and they were great. My wife had the Cajun chicken, loved it. My problem was the service. Ordered a pitcher of beer, it came to the table with food in it. My buddy ordered a drink, never came ( was not on his bill and he ended up sharing my pitcher) . Im hoping this was a new server or just some kinks that need worked out. Hope I come back and they WOW me so I can change my review.
