It was such a let down and way too expensive for what I received. I went here for my anniversary. I wish i had gone to ruth chris instead. The atmosphere was poor. It wasnt romantic, and it looked very dated. It wasnt soft lighting, it was just dim/dark. It looked dirty but i couldnt tell because it was too dark. Plates, silverware, dinner side carts, every thing looked 20 years old. But, that wasnt the biggest problem. thee food wasnt good. The rolls were great(free). And that was the best part of the meal. The table side ceaser salad was bad ($17). Too much dressing the lettuce was soaked in it, and the balance was off; too much anchovie paste. The croutons were rock hard. I was afraid to eat them cause i was worried i would break a tooth. I got the 16oz ny strip(25). I ordered medium rare it was raw. So i sent it back and it came back well done. the vegetables were supposed to be sauteed, but they were under cooked too. And the steak was bland, little or no seasoning. they waitress didnt ask if i wanted steak sauce either. But by this point i was starving so i just ate it anyways. So again it was very disappointing. i love salad! But, i couldnt even finish it. I could have made a better steak at home for $9. all in all dinner was like $100. I tried to offer some constructive criticism, but the owner wasnt interested in hearing it. he just told me why i was wrong. Needless to say i wont be back. and you should avoid it too. Texas road house makes better ever thing better for less than half the price.

We have been going here for years and always have received a great meal with very professional service. The atmosphere is more the classic professional restaurant when people actually dressed up a bit and did not let the kids scream and run around. Geared more for adults but families are certainly welcome. Although casual and everything from shorts and T-shirt to suit and tie work, it always feels like an event when here and not just going out to eat because you do not feel like cooking (it is not an Applembees experience). The comment above about leaving hungary? The freshly baked, too hot to handle upon arrival bread basket is addicting enought to fill up the biggest eater. Then add the dinners where most or all come with soup, salad, entree and side. Then try to resist the desserts! Maybe Old Country Buffet is better suited for some? The bar is always staffed by well knowledged bartenders who can whip up the classic gin gimlet or martini just as easily as a Yager-Bomb or whatever drink is in this week. Very good wine list and liquor list also. Again, a more classic and professional feel bar. No, I do not have a vested interest in Boodles. It is just after driving by this inconsipcuous place for years and not thinking twice about it, friends finally took us there and we have enjoyed it ever since. Prices are very reasonable for the level of preparation and service. Enjoy!

My husband and I went there on a Saturday night . We were seated in a 2 top near the front door which was fine since we did not have a reservation. The gentleman that seated us was very nice and said someone would be right with us . We sat for 15 minutes and no one gave us water, bread or even acknowledged us . A table near us , that was sat after us , already had cocktails. I asked that waitress to help us and she said I wish I could but the person whose section it is will cut my head off. We sat another 10 minutes and then asked the gentleman who sat us to find the waitress. She finally came over , did not seem friendly and took our drink order . We told her we were in somewhat a hurry and would like to order but she said I will be back . 10 minutes later came back with our drinks . 35 minutes is a long time to wait to just be getting out drinks . The food did come out quick and was good. The gentleman came over and said he was sorry about the wait ,and the attitude of the waitress ,and we could have a free desert . When we told the waitress that ,instead of saying sorry for the long wait ,she acted mad and said who told you that ? You would think she would want to make the customer happy! Never going back there again!

Horrible service. Absolutely atrocious. Cant comment on the food because we left before eating. We chose Boodles on the advice of friends. My wife and I dressed up as we were told it was formal attire. We were seated immediately. But virtually ignored thereafter. We placed our drink orders shortly after being seated, but it took over 20 minutes to get our drinks. After about 15 minutes, we asked where our drinks were, and other than a short, "Im sorry. Let me check on that." Didnt hear back until the drinks arrived another 6 or 7 minutes later. When the drinks arrived, we told them we were ready to place our order, but the server wasnt ready for us. She said shed be back. We waited another 20 minutes before finally getting up and leaving. We sat there for over 45 minutes, never placed our food order, and waited over 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive. We rarely do this, but we felt compelled to write the restaurants management a letter explaining our horrible dining experience. As you can imagine, the letter was never responded to either. No phone call, no written response. Nothing. The letter was as ignored as we were. I will never go back.

At one time this was my favorite restaurant. Over the years the quality has gone done and the prices up. Holidays and special days, the prices go through the roof, they overbook and even with reservations you have long waits. The outdoor space used to accommodate people is void of decor or atmosphere, cold in the winter, and not a nice addition to the actual restaurant. It could be a nice addition if they put some money into making it a nice extension of the restaurant. Rather than being on the defensive the owner could use negative comments as an incentive to improve and keep customers happy and coming back. Not fair to charge patrons in the restaurant full price for drinks and the ones in the restaurant bar area reduced prices during Happy Hour. The dinner guests are spending big bucks on dinner and should also be entitled to discounted drink prices during Happy Hour. Complaints shouldnt be dismissed when theyre valid and by customers who expect first rate service and food for priced accordingly. The owner needs to brush up on his manners and set an example for his staff.

First Visit. Went to Boodles on 1/28/12 and had an outstanding time. Went at 9pm on a Saturday and got seated in about 15 minutes. Bartender served us some water without us even asking. The restaurant is a little cramped, but Ive seen worse. There was a performer singing and playing a trumpet, but it was nice and relaxed, not overbearing. Had the crab and shrimp dip (a special from their dry erase board) for an appetizer and it was excellent. Had crab cakes for my entree and it was very good, with nice chunks of real crab in the cake. Getting 3 crab cakes for $20 is a pretty good deal. Often get less food for more money at a place like Mitchells. Our other party members got the Steak Stewart and the Veal Oscar. Both looked very appetizing. The steak stewart is cooked table side, which is a nice touch, but can be a bit awkward when the restaurant is full. Our service from hostess, to bar tender, to waitress were outstanding. Our waitress was very personable and turned the outing from an A to an A+. Will go back again.
