I wish I could post a picture of the dry, cracked fondant on the cake, all the way around. We were told we would not be getting fondant, yet we did. We were told we would get Bavarian cream in one layer, but it had strawberries in it. Some of Myy guests were allergic to strawberries. I got a call that they were still waiting for a picture. I had no idea what she was talking about because I was never told they needed a picture, but I sent a couple to be obliging. The ones I sent had fondant on them, thats why they said they put fondant on the cake. The ones I sent were circle cakes, but I still got the square cake I requested. So why did I get fondant? The cake was dry and cold in the middle. The man blamed me for all of the problems with the cake and said there were no strawberries in the cake. Then wanted to give me a store credit. The occasion that I needed the cake for is over. What would I do with a store credit? Extreme disaster. Oh, and the cake was given to us without a box. It was a 2 layer cake, not big. No box or any type of covering at all. 8/15/2017- Im editing my post because the owner did give me a partial cash refund of my order. However, when my boyfriend went in to pick it up and purchase a baked good for a family member, the owner stated that situations like mine are why he doesnt like to do business with women. The family member that my boyfriend was purchasing for is female and was standing right there. That screams bad business to me. But I did state that I would say a kind word about him, so I will. After he saw my review and I contacted the Better Business Bureau, he agreed to give me the store credit in cash instead. So in a round about way he tried to make the situation right. ?

had our wedding cake made there 8 yrs ago and it was very, very good. however, just went to get a smaller cake for a gift and it was not very good. it was dry, plain, the butter cream tasted fake. the store is at a great location, but when you go inside, it looks empty. the shelves are bare, the display cabinets are bare. it looks like they are going out of business. the owner is a nice guy, but something is missing. i can sit here and analyze what is wrong with it, but i am sure he knows it and its not my job to tell them what to change. Have not tried their wedding cakes in awhile, but they were very good last time. i just hope they are better than the items for general sale in the store. hope this helps.

The was my second time purchasing a cake from Dunias Bakery in Livonia. The first cake wasnt sweet at all but enjoyed it somewhat. The second visit as I picked out the cake the Owner (Cake Designer) coughed and coughed by the cakes and in his hands, then used his hands to serve and remove cakes from the shelf. Never once did he wash his hands. This was the Norm for him. I can never do business with Dunia Bakery every again. To not practice Hygiene while dealing with food is Dangerous. Nice people Nice owner but Hygiene and cleanliness is a MUST.

AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME Loved the service, Love the Wedding Cake, Loved the cupcakes, Loved his sence of urgency, Loved his punctuality and Loved the presentation. We had plenty at our reception and folks took home desserts. They are still talking about it today, a whole year ago. I refer people all the time. one of the best decisions made. you can not go wrong, honestly!!!! Thank you Dunia Sweets

The owner messed up my wedding cake. Completely different cake came out after an hour consultation and going in a week prior to talk about it. Says its not his fault he wasnt there for my consult even though I called ahead. Argued with me about the mishap being my fault. Worst customer service I have ever received and I left without a wedding cake the day before my wedding.

Worst bakery ive ever been to! Dont waste your time going there. Go to Elite sweets on 8 mile best bakery in the area! They made a mistake and said thats not how i ordered it, i have a 2 yr old daughter that couldve did better baking and decorating then they did!

Just the right place to stop in and get your family some cookies, cakes, or treats. The owner makes you feel like you have known him for years.... just the place to go to and get an amazing wedding cake or a tray of baklava.

go here for the balaclava! cant make it cheaper! this is their specialty! other bakery items look like previously frozen. . trust me on the baklava! great Christmas gifts!
