My wife and I got kicked out of Curraghs for having brought in coffee from Tim Hortons. I had just gotten into town from Chicago to meet up with my family for a holiday weekend in Holland. I purchased coffee to have while I shopped the main street stores. My uncle and brother (who had drinks and ordered food!) texted me their location at Curraghs. Shortly after I met up with them, the very unprofessional manager (which you wouldnt be able to tell with her elbow tattoos and multiple face piercings - always classy, especially on an older women) told me that I cannot be in the restaurant with my foreign coffee. My other brother had just showed up with some candy from a local store which she thought was mine and did not like either. I promptly left with my wife, my coffee, and my business. There was 6 of us that were going to come back later that night for drinks. We did not. My wife and I were going to stop in for dinner that weekend which we also did not. Owner of Curragh - your wonderful side show cost you $150.00+ that weekend including future business over a $2 coffee and some candy. Note: When a business is located in a tourist town within the shopping district, people are going to walk in and out with multiple products from multiple stores.

Right off the bat we were set off by the fact that this is the first Irish Pub that weve been to that doesnt have Scotch Eggs. The waiter was very pleasant but it was quickly obvious that he wasnt trained about the food very well. We had two questions regarding the menu and for both he had to go ask for help. He should have been mentored more effectively. We dont blame him for not knowing. He was very attentive and kind. Now for the real deal breakers. The food. I ordered my favorite Irish dish, the Bangers and Mash. My girlfriend ordered the Irish Stew. My mash was great but the bangers were more like breakfast links than a true banger that I have ordered numerous times from other Irish pubs. They also were lacking in flavor. My girlfriends stew was mostly onions and celery in a thin tomato soup with only a couple of small chunks of lamb. Overall the atmosphere was top notch along with the decor and Irish music. What really killed the experience for us was the food.

Ive been going here with my friends for several months now for Trivia Nights on Thursdays. Usually good food, service and trivia is a blast. Tonight however, a new waitress who said shed been gone for a year asked for all of our IDs once we sat down. I asked why and she said that anyone under 21 has to leave at 10pm. Again, Ive been going here for 4 months now and never has this been an issue (Im 20). GM came out and stated its been a rule for two years and reassured me that all of his staff followed protocol (obviously not) and that there definitely is a sign (okay but where?). I wouldnt be as aggravated as I am if: (1) I hadnt been going to this for months (2) I didnt have to drive 45 minutes one way (3) If they apologized or seemed sorry at all (4) Or at least paid for the pop I had Regardless, my group is moving to a place down the street that does it on Wednesdays without the age cap. Thanks for wasting my time, money, and gas tonight.

The manager (Pam Kimber) waited approximately 45 min until our food arrived to inform me my 2 10lb dogs that were sleeping at my feet had to sit on the sidewalk while we ate. I replied, "What if they get run over by a bicyclist or accidentally stepped on?" Considering it was a Sunday during Tulip Festival, it was extremely busy or it would have not been a problem. Her response, "Well, I guess you will have an expensive vet bill or a funeral." She then offered us to go boxes if that was not an option. It took every ounce of patience not to flip the table in her face and walk out. She tried to come back and "apologize" by saying she had dogs at home and shes been a manager for 10+ years with the Curragh. How does this information help me besides feel bad for your dogs at home!? Never again will I visit this place solely due to this woman and her unapologetic insensitivity toward my dogs

Went there for dinner and sat outsid, the atmosphere was very nice however the service was terrible and the food took forever to come out even though there was no wait for inside seating. The major issue we had was the food, first I ask what veggies are in something and I get the answer veggies. I ask for something without onion and Im told they cant stir fry without them??? Then I ask for a side salad and sandwich without onion and find them in the salad and can taste them in the sandwich where they picked them off. The salad was old brown lettuce, seemed like it was remade that morning based on the looks of it. They forgot to put dressing on the sandwich which did not taste like an $11 dollar meal. Would never go back for the food.

This was our first visit at The Curragh. Were new to this area, and after few not so good experiences, we were quite worried this might have been yet another disaster. Surprise! Surprise! This place is great, very nice atmosphere, very pub-like, loud yet not obnoxious. Very friendly staff, great food and alcohol selection. I know for some here its not good enough, but we like it. We dont get a chance to get out much, so when we do, we really appreciate every successful evening together. And The Curragh became one of few Hollands favorite spots for sure. Its a MUST-TRY.

We went to the Curragh for our friends birthday. We opened a tab with our credit card. The bartender gave our card to the wrong person. When we found out, we were clearly unhappy - to which the bartender replied "Its no big deal - it happens all the time." The fact that the bartender is used to this kind of thing happening shows what kind of shady business this is. To top it off, we have now had fraudulent activity on the card and it has to be replaced. I cannot stress this enough - DO NOT EAT/DRINK HERE. They have terrible service and shady business practices.

I dont recommend this shi**y place!!! We walked in there and ordered food. This short blond bartender who has worked there for seven years gave us some drinks. She overheard our conversation how this pub has 3 mexican cooks cooking irish food. This girl went bizzerk!! She called us racist and rude while we were only stating facts. She was so stupid she didnt know what the word racist mean and even though she was white, she got offended. She talked to her Menager who told her thay if she wants she can ask us to leave. I dont recommend this shi**y place!!!

I couldnt even finish my meal before I was fed up and had to leave the restaurant disgusted only to eat somewhere else. Services was rude and terrible. Food was not of quality and no better than an out of the box Applebees. DO NOT COME HERE FOR GLUTEN FREE. The gluten free menu was not a true gluten free menu. If you choose the gluten free burger, wrap, sandwich etc, you would receive it simply without a bun or wrap. Also you would pay more for the gluten free when you get less than the regular order.
