Terrible service. Arrived at 5pm, restaurant was 3/4 empty, took them 18 minutes to set up a table, still didnt get it right. We finally walked over to the table they were futzing around with ( we had a party of 7 with baby) and told them, wed be fine with it as it was. At that point all wait staff evacuated the area... We sat and waited another 10 minutes for a waitress to appear, the table had no set-ups (silverware/ napkins), and when the waitress arrived all she wanted was to take drink orders. We wanted only cold water, and that seemed to irk her. She walked away, and went up to the server station and proceeded to chat with the other waitresses. No water, no service. We walked out after another 5 minutes of watching her chit chat from a distance, and they couldnt have cared less. As I was leaving I told the waitress why I was leaving, and she said she had been busy delivering hot food. Right, hot air maybe ( chatting with her co-workers) but nothing even approaching service.

Absolutely love the Beechwood Inn. Been going here awhile, and it never fails to deliver. At one time West Michigan was packed full of these kinds of amazing Americana, family owned restaurants but they are fast becoming scarce. The perch, smelt, and broasted chicken are my favs. Generous portions with great sides. Heres hoping they are around for a very long time. If you are thinking of heading out to one of the chain restaurants, why not give Beechwood Inn a try instead?

Beechwood Inn used to be amazing food with great service. The last three trips I have made have been worse each time. Steaks not being cooked correctly, food being cold even after being sent back to be reheated and no consistency in the quality of the service or the food. Three years ago this place was still a 5 out of 5...I am not sure what has changed but I hope they fix it because it was one of the best spots in Holland.

I did the carry out option and it was ready to go very, very fast. Also, never had their onion rings before but they are seriously the best onion rings I have ever had. When I opened the container you could really smell the beer batter - they tasted amazing. Also, had the fried mushrooms, which are awesome.

This place has amazing food and a diverse atmosphere. The Beechwood Inn and Coyote Cafe serve the same menu, but the feel of each side is completely different. The Coyote Cafe has a wonderful deck and bar. The Beechwood Inn is laid back and cozy and perfect for a wonderful family dining experience.

Staff was friendly. Dining area and restroom was clean. I ordered the steak and they cooked it medium- it was a true medium- which I love. They also had French or Catalina style dressing for my salad which was a plus. Reasonably priced as well. Nice spot!

Our steaks were excellent, and our server Alyssa was great...Very attentive, prompt, and friendly. Weve had her a couple of times, and she has made our experiences very positive!

Its hit or miss with this place. Some things are OK and some are really bad. If you look around a lot of older people go here (deteriorated taste buds) keeping it alive.
