They need a larger variety of desserts. The check in lady is wonderful, the older woman. Sometimes you could get very sucky waiters and waitresses. With the mashed potatoes, within a half hour of me going up there three times they still do not have any fresh ones made the pan sat there with hard potatoes. Desert area the bigger Mexican guy refused to make any more cotton candy he said "I dont know how to make it" which I told him how to make any still refuse to make it. I told him that was basically the main reason why were regulars there. I love a lot of their hot food but I will tell you this a lot other waitresses and waiters suck and theyre only there for the money and I does not care about the people. Second time must be in there our waitress never attended to our table whatsoever my husband asked for coffee we waited for an hour for her to fill the cup and never did. Plus every day the prices are different prices when you go at dinner time and even at lunch time- Which I do not understand.

Some of the reviews I do find very hard to believe, Im not saying that everyone that eats there is going to have the most pleasant experience, but I will say they have the Grand Rapids location beat by a mile and then some. They are way cleaner, better service, and they can actually keep most of their things filled even when it is busy. I watched a guy in their kitchen, Victor was his name, practically running all the kitchen by himself and still doing things right. Takes 5 or more in GR & they still probably couldnt keep up with him. Lisa & DeAnne are great and provide excellent service and another great thing is that this location is owned by a woman, who I think does care about her customers. Even though we live in a GR suburb, we will only go to this Golden Corral when we want to eat there. It is worth the 20 mile trip for everything that is substantially better than GR. Great job to Nadine and her crew.

The waitress was awesome. Lisa was very busy, however she came to the table to check on us many times. The food was alright kinda flavorless. The deep fried chicken was some of the best Ive ever eaten that was homemade. Saw more then one person on there phone well preparing food. Found six dirty bowls in the clean ones. The woman in blue shirt, in the picture section was on her phone. Staring at that. Not sure if she was washing dishes or preparing food. As both were right there. As seen in the picture. No wonder the bowls are dirty. Definitely not a good combo in food service. Added to the picture section of the restaurant. Only one place in the place to refill your drinks. In the area you come in at. Its always busy there. Like a Corral ha ha... Pain to get a refill when its like that. Should add another one in a more convenient place.

My boyfriend and I ate here and there was a hard piece of plastic baked into the popcorn shrimp. We told our waitress and she showed it to the manager and told us the manager said "it couldnt have been anything they did because she made the shrimp herself" I dont think she understood that it was baked INTO the shrimp so it was their manufacturer. We thought that maybe, like many other places, a manager would have good customer service and personally come over and apologize...but nope. I finished eating and then as we were leaving we asked to speak to a manager face to face since they didnt come while we were at the table. The manager we spoke to was very unapologetic and basically didnt want to give us our money back because it was "too late". She offered us a buy one get one free coupon but I can promise you we wont be going back.

Three strikes and youre out! Rude cashier, food from salad bar, totally empty. On to main course, no rolls,no honey butter, no chicken, no pot roast, no fish and never refilled! On to desserts, or lack there-of. No pudding, no pies, no cakes, all totally empty, and never refilled. But there was lots of gummy bears, Im a senior and dont eat them.... Plus, Complaining to the manager, did zero good. No refilled drinks. Dirty dishes left on tables around us. A place is only as good as its help/manager(s), and this place has zip for That. Guess I could understand if the place was busy, but it wasnt. Even if it was, they needed to keep up with salad bar, main food bar and dessert bar! Bad reviews will shut a place down! Hoping theyll get there act together soon!!! From now on, if we want to go to GC, well travel to GR or Muskegon.

Measurably better than when first opened. Came when they first opened and then again a couple months later. Service was disorganized and the food was so so. Since then the service is much improved as well as the food. Had to go through growing pains like most restaurants to get to a better level. Would now recommend this place to anyone looking for a large variety of good food. Only issue I see now is that they advertise brunch food (omelets, French toast, etc.) from 9a.m. - 2p.m. seven days a week but as noon approached most breakfast food trays ran out and they pretty much quit refilling them. If this is going to be the norm maybe a change in brunch hours is needed. Overall good though.

Horrible management! Someone had mixed up the unsweetened tea with the sweet tea (simple mistake, not a big deal) when my mother politely let the manager know that the tea was mixed up and asked for a new one he told her this is regular tea thats just how we make it, it tastes fine he took her cup away and didnt even offer her another drink. She had to go to the back of the line to grab a new cup. The food seemed to have been sitting for a long time and many items on the buffet were empty. The one good thing I can say about our experience is that our waitress, Jasmine was wonderful! She was very kind and quick on her toes! Thank you Jasmine!

We waited a month to see if the newly opened Golden Corral in Holland, Michigan would get its act together (friends told us their horror stories) but we have decided once was enough for us. They were so disorganized, long lines for food, empty food containers, the list goes on and on...also pop was $2.29 extra, whereas other buffets include it in their price. Our bill for three seniors, two pops, and tax came to $47.75, and we felt that we ate maybe $20 worth. To deal with all the noise and confusion and then leave while still hungry...dont waste your money, time or energy. Holland has so many restaurants that are far better than this.

Best part of the meal was seeing the exit sign. I know they just opened but Oh My. They better hurry and fix the issues. Rude employees, waitress only take when she was leaving early and was hinting at a tip. At least 65 percent of the items were empty. Not over stating that either. We have eaten at GC on Alpine in GR and in Muskegon. Not even close to what you experience there. As you can see in photos employees are asked to be on their phones. Witnessed a young make employee come out of the bathroom zip his zipper up and put on his belt then go directly to table and touch customers items. YUCK...!!
