This is a great place to have a nice lunch. If you like Mediterranean food, this is the place to go. I have to admit that I am from Mediterranean so I may have a bias to such a food in general but I am also very critical of such a food as well. Frankly, I found the food superb. I have had Mediterranean food all my life and I have no idea how they are serving such a great food in Indy ;) Now about the details. Their Feseinjan (which is a Persian food made from walnut sauce and chicken) was the best ever. Their Eggplant Stew was also fantastic. The Kabab and Falafel was average - I found it a bit dried - maybe not my style. Sambusa, Salads and Rice was good. They felt like home made Mediterranean food. Their Humus and also dessert were also good. Healthy Food: Well, Mediterranean food is healthy if compared to the fast food you get everywhere else; however, Mediterranean food is not the healthiest food available. A lot of oil and salt is used to make them; however, if you have fast food once a month, this is nothing! Place: Its behind Castleton mall - so if you happen to go to the mall around noon you can have a nice lunch. Time: I have no idea why they only have lunch. Seems weird. Maybe its part of their business plan! At least they could have a normal restaurant services after lunch. Cost: $14 for a lunch buffet is a bit high for the average person. They serve around 30 items including the desserts. I have been to many buffets in Indy. There are some (not Mediterranean) that are only $5.99 for lunch (same number of items but lowered quality); however, you get what you pay for. I bet if they were $9.99 they could have absorbed more customers so that they could be open at dinner time as well. Recommendation: I will definitely go again. I will advise it to my friends - specially the ones that are willing to pay a bit more for the great (and unique) taste.

This is the best buffet in Indianapolis. It is my favorite. I consider myself to be very discerning when it comes to food. Weekday lunch buffet is $10.50 and weekend is $13.50, which inlcude drinks and desert! Everything is made fresh everyday and prepared by the owners and their staff. There are three sections to the buffet bar - salads, vegetarian section of rice, vegetables, beans etc and meat section with several types of beef, lamb and chicken. The falalfals are absolutely the best around. I love the eggplant, okra, green beans, and different types of rice dishes they create. The coconut pudding is incredible - not too sweet but full of flavor. very satisfying. The Mediterrano is worth a trip across town. They are open for lunch everyday inlcuding from 11:30 am to 3 pm on Saturday and Sunday for late lunch or brunch. I cannot say enough good about this place except to say you will not meet nicer people and have better quality, great tasting, nutirional food.

Wow, how the mighty have fallen. This place was one of my favorite restaurants back in the day - worth the premium price of the buffet. I took my co-workers there based on on the quality of the past - it was a dismal experience. The gyro meat was overcooked and dry as well as the chicken, the soda machine wasnt working and worst yet, my co-worker found a long piece of hair in the grape leaves. We brought it to the attention of one of the workers, he shrugged it off saying it was probably a customer. We informed him that was impossible as it was IN the grape leaves - he shrugged it off again without offering any type of remediation. Will never go back again. This place used to be packed over lunch time, it was a Friday and there was hardly anyone there.

Have been going here for 15 years. Loved the couple that used to own this place. Previously left a five star glowing review. This place has been under new ownership for a few years and recently an employee refused to give my 2 year old daughter silverware because he says kids are too messy. no falafel on buffet and found a giant hair in the stew. employee refused to apologize for hair and in front of other patrons suggested that I put it there myself because I was unhappy about the silverware. I did not ask for a refund, nor was I given one. I am blown away that someone would suggest I put hair in my own food just to make a fuss. Absolutely my worst restaurant experience in 35 years of dining!

Why is this place open? Its appalling. The food is disgusting. I tried the hummus and it was awful---I make better hummus on my own! This used to be a fantastic restaurant 20 years ago serving true Persian food. Now its trash and the food has no flavor. I hope this place shuts down because this is NO MEDITERRANEAN food. This is flavorless hospital food. Anyone that knows what true Persian food is supposed to taste like will be insulted by the food at this place. If you only lived in Indiana your entire life you may think this is okay because youre a dumb redneck that knows no better.

Its the best!!!!! Its not listed on their site but the buffet hrs are 11-3 and then its dinner till 9 now. It has new owners which have it open till 9 where it used to be buffet only and only open till 2:30 or 3pm. The new owners are nice and have kept up the high quality under previous owners and actually (while i didnt think it possible) improved on some things and expanded food choices. Awesome Turkish coffee too!!!! Its my gf, employers, close friends favorite Mediterranean food choice in Indy!!! If you havent tried it you are missing out!!!!!

Wonderfully pleasant restaurant. My wife and happened to notice this place after we stopped at REI around the corner, and we are so glad we did. My wife grew up in Egypt and is rather critical of near-home style cooking. Huge portions, perfectly cooked lamb, and a delightful tomato-based side dish gave her no room to complain. After the cook even came out to ask our opinion, my wife said I had to write a good review. Our waitress said she had just bought the restaurant, so she/they are off to a good start.

Ive been underwhelmed by Stateside Middle Eastern/Mediterranean establishments in the past, but this one is excellent with a diverse and affordable menu. Classics like falafel, shawarma, hummus, and baba ghanoush are all accounted for. Even the pita bread was better than average. In addition to the friendly staff, I couldnt recommend the food here more. Whether youre into Middle Eastern cuisine or apprehensive about it, try it!

Dont know what the recent bad reviews are on about. The hummus was absolutely delicious. Small family run place without a ton of ambiance, but come for the food anyway. Everything seemed to be made fresh to order. We were given big portions for the money and Turkish coffee on the house after dinner. Great experience.
