Went to the new location in front of WalMart and it is "Country Home Cooking" in slogan only. Most of the veggies tasted like they were canned, at best. Of the available veggies, many were low cost, simple veggies, like corn, green beans and mashed "potatoes". Several of the buffet areas were left empty. The namesake "fried tomatoes" were battered in flour rather than cornmeal, which is blasphemous if you are a true southerner. At the old location, there was a large selection of meats, like salisbury steak, baked and fried chicken, roast beef, etc. Not so at this new location. The only meats available were chicken--baked and fried and some sort of baked fish. If I were to make a recommendation, it would be to save your $10 and go elsewhere, or buy some canned veggies and heat them up yourself.

Everything tasted the same. Its good for the older crowd or those that care nothing about food except how much they can put away. This was my first visit since they moved from their older location, where the food was tasty and enjoyable for the $10 price tag. The food was soft, had little seasoning, and most was very greasy, which makes it very easy to digest. The service was great and worth the tip I left, as my glass stayed pretty full and the table clean of plates. The music is a nice selection, but its too loud for a restaurant! This was my last trip, unless someone tells me that things have changed big time! Its not a yuck, but its close!

Fast seating and attentive staff. You pay first so if you want to add the tip you have the get cash back. Food is just above average but the selection is very good and the bars were refreshed before the pans went empty even during the high traffic time. The food itself is towards the bland side of the spectrum but I suppose that is to ensure compatibility with the diverse ages of pallets. Really the staff and selection put this place into the 4 star category. It isnt a leader in the southern cousine but it is good, readily available, and has items I dont routinely have at home.

Its a very close second to Sweet Baby Janes. Fried Tomato does have more choices. Both have awesome southern cooking and anytime you offer that at an all-you-can-eat buffet youre gonna have a crowd. Place was packed but they kept the food stocked and it was always fresh. Only "downfall" is that there are tons of fried food options, but not many baked, or healthier, options. If youre not used to the heaviness of traditionally greasy southern fare, your tummy might get just a little upset. On the other hand, best fried green tomatoes Ive ever had from a restaurant!!

$10 dollars for 8 buffet chambers is small compared to $7:36 for 18ish chambers and my uncle says its Africa American cooks in the back but all the food taste like they had 7 at most of KFCs 13 spices! The salad chamber had some good options but again Im used to more options and its a salad, Im glad the lettuce was in 3 choices but its just salad, put it together to your taste and its good cause u made it!

Having become a frequent diner at F.T.B . its become like going home to Moms for dinner.Sue and Clay, owners and proprietors could not be more gracious or welcoming to William and I. The wide array of diverse dishes are always seasoned and displayed just right. There is something for every palate, whether a vegan or a meat connoisseur. Five stars are applicable. Bon appetite!

Went in for the first time on 4/6/12 at 8:20pm with a party of 7. Sign said they closed at 9pm. Was told that at 8:20pm they only do carry outs. Really? 40mins before they were to close with a full buffett? I could see food in all trays. Needless to say we walked out and will NEVER return. My money will be used and wanted at other places.

We ate there during Lunch hour Sunday. The Food was great, but our WAITRESS did not come around to check and see was everything okay, the Booth we were in the back fell off the bench, never got our beverage refills. The White people around Us was served immediately. I reported it to Hosea at the Checkout Counter.

Tried this place three times now. The meat tends to almost always be over cooked, and the fried foods way overly greasy. I will say that on the last visit the fried foods were much less greasy, and I really enjoyed the okra and fried green tomatoes, but this isnt a place that I will return to personally.

Staff polite, competent, and obvious teamwork displayed in the thickness of Sundays after church crowd. Vast and varied selection of meats, assorted vegetables, cold salads/fruits, and desserts were plentiful. Economical and would definitely recommend to others and return visits forthcoming.

Food was delicious but you have to like home cooking. Not a lot of meat choices but an abundance of veggies. Service is a little slow but the food more than makes up having to wait a few minutes for tea. You pay before eating and tax drink and all is only 10.50 for adults.

The fried tomatoes were delicious. I was hoping to have some fried okra, but they didnt have any. They ran out of chocolate cheesecake which was disappointing. I wish they had a wider selection of foods. The wait staff isnt very friendly. Overall, it was just okay.

Mystuffedpanda AFKs review above isnt valid when the avg southern child is literally the size of a 4mo old calf. These fat rednecklings down here can put it away. Dont take your canary-pecking kid to a country buffet......I give her 1 star for wilful retardation.

This place is by far the best buffet Ive ever eaten at. All the food was delicious and the derive was super fast even though they were packed. Everyone was really nice and the place was spotless. Definitely will visit here again anytime I pass through.

My first time eating here and it was amazing! The food is great. Southern, home cooked. The place was packed, but the food was abundant, hot, fresh, and delicious. The price to dine in was unbeatable! Will definitely be back in the near future.

Tha BOMB DIGGITY, from tha south & I know what southern foods should taste like. Also, saved $2 to $3 eating here vs eating @ Golden Corral. Vegetables were cooked right as well. Will definitely be my go to place from now on.

Looks like its located in an old Ryans building. The buffet was outstanding! I havent been so full in I dont know when! have several choices of Soul Food to choose from. The desserts were awesome! waitress was very attentive.

Your average buffet. Lots of what is considered soul food. But it tastes good, esp. the fried green tomatoes. The mashed potatoes are thin. Only brown gravy. The salad bar is typical. Good desserts. Friendly staff.

While the food was ok and the staff was courteous and professional, we will not be going back to this restaurant. Childers ages 9 and up are charged the adult price. Ten dollars for a childs meal is way overpriced.

This place used to be really great. Very good food, great service. The last two times Ive been the food was poor and as far as service there wasnt any. Dont really know what changed but I cant recommend it now.
